Wonderful & helpful community & staff. The love & support shown to the residents goes beyond anything! From looking at the facebook page, I can tell the activities given by the new Activity Director have changed the residents energy in a tremendously positive way, very superb outcome! I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a memory care facility. Much respect & gratitude to all staff & faculty.

There has recently been turnover in four of five key management positions. Generally, not a good sign. A few positions have been vacant for over one month. However, the New Activities Director, [name removed], is a breath of fresh air. He is engaged and engaging. He works tirelessly, always with a smile on his face. Truly a great addition to the facility. He represents the company very well. I hope he will be recognized for the great job he is doing.

September 5, 2024Bucky, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Seasons at Southpoint!
Seasons at Southpoint is a nice place. They have activities and take people out and about to movies and parks. I still think they were a great place just not really for my dad. Super friendly staff! The guy in charge of the place was so very nice and helpful.

July 27, 2024Thank you so much for the positive review. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you; we are more than happy to help!
The nursing home was not very clean- feces in her bathroom. She was unsupervised at times and fell. They need more staff to handle the patient population and dedicate more time to caring for the individual needs of the patients. [name removed] was transported to the hospital twice due to injuries in the short time she spent in the facility. Expensive for the care received. The Hospice Nurse was awesome. [name removed], the lead nurse, was very kind, compassionate and responsive to our needs.

My mother is a resident at Seasons at Southpoint and she has no complaints. She loves the snacks and the coffee extras. My mother is very happy at Seasons at Southpoint. She says that she is treated like an "adult."

May 15, 2024Thank you for the recommendation, have an amazing day!
During the time my family member was there, the staff was wonderful, could not do enough for us. Once they left all the response was different and that the reason the overall experience was not good. Send several email with no response.

My husband was a resident at Seasons at Southpoint for a very short time. Worst place ever! The nurses didn't undress him for a night sleep and didn't help him with the bathroom. I was told before I brought my husband to them that he would be allowed to use a commode to go to the bathroom, but the nurses told me that he was supposed to go to the bathroom himself. He couldn't even walk by himself and ended up soiling himself. The nurses also didn't wear masks or gloves when they distributed medication. One of them had very long nails and couldn't pick the medications up with her fingers. The food was so bad that my husband didn't eat it. My husband also didn't receive regular insulin shots and after a few days at this facility, he was taken to the emergency room with blood sugar of 460! I decided to bring him home after that, rather than sending him back to Seasons. We opted to use Homecare services instead. The bookkeeper of this place didn't submit the correct paperwork to the Long Term Insurance and the insurance didn't cover the amount of $[removed] for the month and $[removed] for the room. Altogether $[removed] that nobody returned to us.

I toured Seasons at Southpoint during my search for a Memory Care facility for my loved one. The cleanliness and friendliness were good. However, I didn't like this facility quite as much as I liked some of the other places that we toured.
Seasons at Southport has a great care team on staff. They have the proper education and training, and they understand the unique care needed for seniors with dementia and other conditions.

June 22, 2023Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!
The friendliness of the staff team is something that we enjoy most about this community, they make it apparent to get to know the residents by name as well as the families. The give excellent quality of care to the residents, and overall we have been very pleased. They seem to have different activities going on throughout the days, our loved one really enjoys signing along with the piano player. The value is excellent and we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

March 9, 2023Thank you again for letting us know how we can improve our communication and responsiveness. We hope you will consider us again in the future. Take care!
[name removed] was a great nurse and kept us well informed. She went above and beyond to ensure that our mother was well taken care of. And we were always informed. We would have liked to see them keep the facility a little bit cleaner. But really it's the people in the place that make all the difference. The people there tried very hard to make our loved one feel welcome and transition well to the environment.

I highly recommend the community. They have been wonderful and caring towards our loved one. This has been a great fit for our loved one. The staff communication with the family has been very open, and responsive to our questions to make sure the family is comfortable. There are three meals a day served to the residents and there are choices for the residents to choose from. Some of the activities available include games, arts and crafts, and more for the residents to choose from as well.

'The untrained and disinterested staff will not even wear the name tags they were supplied with. There is staff supervision only part-time Monday-Friday. No meaningful night supervision from attendants asleep at the nursing stations. I witnessed a naked man with dementia lying on a hall floor for hours. Medication supposedly delivered by med techs, but often skipped - especially at night. Strangely enough the food is often adequate and of good quality. No regular nursing or nurse- practitioner visits.

The staff were very friendly. The facility was nothing fancy but acceptable. My loved one didn't get a shower for over a week, so I don't know what went wrong there - although I know if you ask her does she want/need a shower, she always says no. The staff we met seemed really nice and conscientious, so perhaps it was because she was there for a respite stay. They also didn't do her laundry until the end of the two week stay. So maybe she just wasn't on the rotation for those things yet. The move-in and move-out process went smoothly. Because it was a new situation for her, it was a difficult transition, but that's not their fault. I think it would have been a pretty good situation if they had been more aware of her bathing needs. Overall we would send Mom there again and be more clear upfront about the bathing.

Seasons at Southpoint my not be the most beautiful community but we really appreciate just how attentive the staff members are. The place is always clean - it smells so fresh you can tell they clean it constantly and efficiently. Whenever we leave we feel very comfortable with leaving our loved one there. The activities we would say are appropriate for the population. We have not had a regular meal there but we did have a meal at a big event they put on and it was delicious.

A Place for Mom has scored Seasons at Southpoint 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
