It's not the best nor the friendliest staff. You get what you pay for. It's cheap and all what I can afford. I'm there 3 days a week minimum. Their housekeepers are lousy. Staff are inpatient and in a hurry. Food is cheap half the time. With all that is said , I am grateful for the place believe it or not. My husband makes the best if it. He's grateful too.... I would ask the nurse how they handle over the counter medicine. Ask if you can talk to the doctor BEFORE your family member goes in to see how medicine is handled or other health issues. Get the pharmacy straightened out. Observe the home health aids and the other residents to see how they interact. Mark all clothing, sheets and blankets with the full name. These were things we wish we knew about beforehand. Check the room periodically to see if it's clean and bed made. They have family dinners every once in awhile and it's a nice way to see other residents' family. The food was good too! I would recommend this facility. I've only met one person who was not helpful at all, the majority are friendly, caring and hard workers.

Overall we wished we had moved her sooner The RRV staff embraced her. They handled her complicated medical situation well. They were also an excellent support to us as caregivers.

The regular staff ( not agency) care about the residents. We are here because it's affordable and they don't require the vaccination nor weekly or monthly testing. Many places are understaffed and overworked. These people are doing the best they can. It's part of our world today.

I have a mother in memory care and a brother with special needs in assisted living. Both are cared for very well by the staff. Each has their own unique needs and the staff go out of their way to help. Medical, dietary and personal care needs are especially monitored and fulfilled.

Over all, my mom has had nothing but positive experiences at Rocky River Village. She loves the staff. She tries to do all the activites. She has made many new friends and best of all, she loves that the food is so good that she never cooks for herself. She's living the dream.

I toured Rocky River Village, but they left a poor first impression. the person I met with and who showed us around was really nice. the rooms were nice as well. during our visit I noticed that the main (big) elevator was broken, so there were many people waiting on the smaller elevator. we chose another community because Rocky Village didn't give that warm and welcoming vibe we were looking for. our time there was underwhelming and it didn't give us that homey feeling.
We chose Rocky River Village because of the friendliness of all of the staff, they took their time with my mom, I just had a really good overall feeling. They were extremely helpful with getting my mom into hospice care. I was totally involved in every aspect of my moms care, and because I was there almost everyday the staff knew me and that helped. They were also great with communication. It was a great experience and I would recommend to others looking, the memory care unit was absolutely wonderful.

We had a wonderful experience, it was clean. They were very accommodating. A wonderful place. The room sizes were good. The staff was very accommodating. They furnished things and made my aunt feel at home. We only had my aunt from out of town stay there for a week. It was a very positive experience.

A Place for Mom has scored Rocky River Village 8.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
