Best fit for my mom. Allowed for freedom, great activities and people. Our experience has been excellent.

The main reason we chose this facility over others we had looked into was because it is a newer place and the staff were all very friendly. The location was also perfect for my sisters. My mother couldn't be happier with her decision about moving into Ridgefield Station. She loves the staff, facility and all of the activities provided.

My mother enjoys the courtyard and the group exercise. We picked this community, because I liked the first person who reached out to me. They addressed all of my concerns and advised things I didn't even think of.

It is a beautiful place and everyone seems happy, it is like a hotel. It is fine for assisted living if you need minimal assistance and are more independent and active, but I did feel misled and do not think they should have accepted my loved one. It was not a good experience for us and it did not work out in the end.
It's a physically beautiful space. It's a very new facility. It's a really pretty, and beautiful building.
My husband's respite stay at Ridgefield Station was super. The care was very individualized. They made an effort find food that he liked, and people did things with him that he might enjoy. They brought in a dog in, and he got to play with the dog. They communicated with me very well. The food that I tried was quite good. I thought it was an excellent value. My one concern is in terms of long term care. He was there for respite care, so I don't know how well they're set up for long term care and special needs. For example, I brought his commode chair to go over the toilet because they don't have those. But otherwise, I thought they were excellent.

A very nice community with excellent staff. It wasn't the right fit for my loved one.
Our family had an in person tour and we would of chosen this community first because we liked the way their meal plans were set up, but unfortunately the apartments sizes were just a little to small for our loved one.
The aides are lovely and very caring. And they are really the best part of the place. It's a beautiful facility. You just don't get a warm and fuzzy feeling about it. It's gorgeous, but it gives a kind of cold feeling. The food is just okay. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not. Our loved one complains about it but can be kind of picky. It looks good to me, but I haven't tried it. They have some activities, but not a lot.

We chose Atria Ridgefield because the facility itself is brand new, it was opened [date removed]. The decor and overall aesthetic was perfect for my mother, it did not feel overly formal but still upscale., The 2 bedroom unit she chose got a lot of natural light which made it more cheerful. I think the size is nice, it is easy for my mother to make friends and they put a big emphasis on being social. She participates in all of the meals and most activities provided. There has been a lot of staff turnover and a hard time filling positions, so that has been disheartening to her. The food is improving since they hired a new chef. If you do not like what is served you are able to choose from another menu but they could use more variety on that menu.

It's a really well-appointed, clean, and lovely facility. The décor is great. But it's kind of like a hotel. It's sad to me that my loved one seems to be kind of on her own. I'm not seeing many activities, which is a big downside. They have the TV on, and I've seen some people playing Scrabble. They've also taken the residents out in the van to visit some horses. But that's about it. The staff is helpful, but I've seen other communities that have more going on and engage the residents better. Other than that, it's a very nice place, and the staff is so nice. They think of the family members as part of the Atria family, and that part is priceless to me. I appreciate that very much. I just wish there were more engagement and things going on for my loved one. But as much as I wish there were some changes as far as her daily routine, I know that she's in good hands. They have her back, and I never have to worry about her. That gives me such peace of mind knowing that she's safe and well cared for.

It is a really nice community. The only downfall was it was too far for the family to visit.
We chose Atria Ridgefield because it was convenient and close to home, the price was fair, and the staff members were very accommodating. My mom really enjoyed the food. They were wonderful and I had no complaints while she was here, she just needed more help than they were able to to provide. I would recommend them to others looking.

During Covid shutdown at the retirement community where mom was residing I noticed a significant progression of her dementia due to isolation and lack of stimulation. She has been living at Atria of Ridgefield in Life Guidance since they opened in July. Now she is cared for by wonderful, dedicated professionals 24/7 and able to safely socialize and participate in many activities tailored to her interests.

Our family has been fortunate to have an organization in Atria that understands the complexity and emotional ties to our homes and family. Having few options to give our mom the attention and care she requires, we were lucky to have met the sales team at just the right time. I would strongly recommend a walk around the properties before making any final decision on any residence. The director and staff are always available and fuss in a manner that makes us comfortable with the care at Atria Ridgefield. Considering the cost and expense of living alone and being concerned about the health and well-being of a loved one, think of Atria for safety and love of home and friendships.

Since this is a new experience for our family, I would like to say that it has been a seamless transition. Not without some personal sadness, however, the guidance was spot on. I highly recommend a walk through with the staff and view the grounds and services. The management and staff are extremely caring without too much fuss. Just the right amount of balanced care and responsiveness you would want for your loved one.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
