Staff friendliness was rated lower due to some staff who sat and on their phones, chewing gum (one of my pet peeves) and not interacting with the residents. I think more supervision by making rounds frequently during each shift. The dietary kitchen went totally overboard when I reported [name removed] allergy to cotton seed oil which is in some store bought baked good. They completely removed bread and other baked goods from meals. I repeatedly had to tell them that he could eat some things. It was never resolved. Residents are gathered in the TV area for the day except meals. The TV is usually on or music. I only saw three activity sessions the whole time [name removed] was there. I was there every other day typically.... Read more

Our loved one got a bed sore which became an open wound that STILL required a wound vac. I believe this could have been avoided had it been recognized and addressed sooner. We really did enjoy Regency Park and I know my dad did too. But we really believe that had they dealt with positioning correctly and being more aware of and dealt correctly with his pressure sores, that he would not have had to advance to the next level of care. He was in the hospital for quite a while, and he now has a wound vac constantly and a wound care specialist seeing him multiple times a week.

My loved one was briefly a resident at Regency Park and during his short experience there, everything was great. I cannot rate the food or the activities as my loved one refused both. As for the value for cost, it was expensive with a large move in fee and only a two week stay.

Super friendly staff, caring and compassionate. Rooms in memory care were a great size. Amenities were good, nice outdoor courtyard with grills, good public spaces, lots of activities every day. Free wifi, cable TV included.

We brought my wife home after 12 days here. She really needed 1 on 1 care which could not be provided. We were hopeful the social atmosphere and activities would make a difference but it did not. Having her home with in-home care has made a big difference.

Overall, it's been a decent transition for my loved one. There was literally no one to welcome her or show her around or introduce her to other residents she might bond with. Sales people have not been in touch to see how things are going. Some promises that we were made before move in still haven't happened. For the care that she receives, she could be in independent living. She needs/receives almost no "care" but has to pay for level 1 care. The power has been out at Regency Park since last Saturday morning. With generator power, there has been modified meals and the heat level hovers between 60-64. Going on a week at a senior living complex is a challenge. Not fault of RP, but I'd think they would have more significant generator power.

I would not recommend the Memory Care unit at Regency Park. The staff appeared minimally trained and unconcerned with the residents' well being. The food was basic, often served cold to my dad, with items repeating frequently. I cannot speak for the Assisted Living section, which is entirely different.

Based on the experience we have had so far, the staff members that work at Regency Park community have been super helpful, however the halls smell of urine so that area could use some improvements.

There's an odor near my our loved ones hall... all the time. They don't shower her unless I ask for one even though she's supposed to get 3 per week. Activities are advertised and scheduled but don't happen. The food is so-so. Housekeeping is not weekly as it should be, and they don't dust. They don't do a thorough vacuum. They don't communicate across staff. If I leave a message at the front desk, they either don't take the information down or don't send it to the appropriate people. They don't reply to email when I have questions. For the record, I'm sure they care and would like to do better. I think they're very understaffed, and I think that's true for all facilities. There just aren't enough people to do the work.

Based on the experience we have had so far, we think they could make improvements on hiring practices including ability to read English, improved supervision of care staff, improve kitchen/food prep and nutrition

Based on our experience so far with Regency Park we think they could improve on their communication with the residents family members. They could also improve on the care conferences and the needed supplies.

What we like the most about the Regency Park community is the friendliness of the staff members working there as well as the beautiful outdoor spots they have. My dad has been so happy there and the staff has been great! We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far!

My loved one was previously a resident at Regency Park and his experience at this facility was great! The facility was clean. It was expensive, but it was worth it. The staff was overworked, but they were extremely kind. Regency Park was a caring and peaceful facility. I would recommend them to family and friends.

I'm extremely satisfied with the care my husband received while at Regency Park. The facility itself, staff, and care were excellent. The staff went above and beyond to meet my husband's care needs. I am extremely grateful he was in a decent place at the end of his life. I would highly recommend Regency Park for anyone seeking that level of care for themselves or a family member.

I really liked the community and the tour guide kept in contact with us after the tour. It seemed to have bigger ceilings and be more modern that we wanted, and it was too far from family.
The staff is just super friendly and they treat everyone with kindness and compassion. My dad was a smoker when we first toured, this facility was very willing to accommodate his smoking and able to walk him outside. They have been great with encouraging him to quit smoking and make sure he gets his nicotine patches and what not so that has been great, he has recently quit. I would definitely recommend Regency Park to others looking.

I toured this facility and it was nice.
I was impressed with the staff and their knowledge. They provided more care than what my loved one needed at the time.

A Place for Mom has scored Regency Park 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
