Farmington Square Beaverton

My brother moved into Farmington Square in Beaverton in January. This was his first one, so we didn’t know what to expect. The staff were very kind over the phone, as well as when we were there visiting. Our issues were finding a pill on his floor in his room, the facility rarely answering their phones, and upon move out, a good majority of his clothes were gone and replaced with smaller or ladies, his toiletries replaced with generic, his brand new bedding, pillows, shower caddy, coffee cup all were gone. So disappointing.

My family and I had a mixed experience during my mother's 2.5-year stay at Farmington Square Beaverton Assisted Living. The first two years was in their transitional memory care unit, then .5 year in the full memory care unit. Here’s a breakdown of our experience. I always like to start with the good: Care Staff: The care staff at Farmington Square were generally good. They showed genuine care and concern for my mother's well-being. However, there were some employees who appeared to be primarily motivated by their paycheck, which was a bit concerning. I would like to point out some staff members who I believe went above and beyond: [names removed]. Through their actions, they all reinforced my feeling that my mom was being well taken care of. I am so impressed with staff and management at Farmington Square Beaverton, particularly during the last few days while my mother was being transferred into transitional memory care. Mom has lived there for the last 5 years in the main building, and the care she received has always been pretty good, (with a few outstanding individuals). But during the move to her new building, I got to see the current group of folks that work there in action over a couple of days, and I was amazed at the patient, caring and professional manner in which they conduct themselves. I want to thank the Executive Director [name removed] for how much she helped us through what could have been a difficult transition; she was so present and participating during the move. She really knows and cares about her residents and her staff! And I have to thank their activities/transportation guy [name removed], for being so great to my mom over the last years, and for just being the best! Sorry I can’t mention all the great staff!

I love working with the residents, and my coworkers. I love all the smiles, and how we work in perfect harmony together. Everyone seems really happy. I hope to work here for many more years, and to have the blessing of many more people who join the community.

As the nurse consultant for the preferred pharmacy, I visit several different facilities. Farmington Square in Beaverton does genuinely strive to do its best and provide the best care. Their staff is friendly and [name removed], ED is extremely involved and knowledgeable. Everyone at the facility, is very welcoming and I would recommend this place to others.

[name removed] and the other crew members from the kitchen are great workers. Always friendly and house warming. They are very professional in their work that they do day in and day out. I would feel comfortable recommending this place.

We are so pleased with Farmington Square Memory Care and Assissted Living. The kindness, knowledge and compassion with which the property Director and Marketing Manager review your case, lead you through the process and work with your medical team to develop the patient's care plan...the dignity and respect by all staff at every turn restores your faith in your fellow human beings at the most trying times of your life!! I highly recommend you visit and tour Farmington Square before making your decision!

This community has done an absolutely wonderful job for our loved one. The cleanliness of the community is good, and we really liked the director. She has taken great care of our loved one, and she had a lot of patience with us during our move-in process. The rooms are adequate, and our loved one seemed to be happy with the food.

For the amount of money we expected more. Folks never followed through on requests for fixes to items in the room, walker failures, etc. Room was dark and depressing. The assistants were very pleasant. Because of COVID, did not expect many activities..

I recently placed my father here for memory care and have nothing but amazing things to say about Farmington Square. From initial point of contact with [name removed] to the continued communication with additional staff post-placement, there is nothing but compassion radiating from these doors. You can immediately tell their residents are the most important part of their day. I cannot thank Farmington Square enough for the help in ushering my father into a new stage of life. I know he is in great hands.

Do your research on other communities and compare your want list but feel free to compare Farmington Square as well. I didn't handle the finance part so my rating of three was just guess. I would keep this community as an option. I had positive experiences with caregivers.

My Father was in the Memory Care of Farmington Square at Beaverton. I came to visit at least one a week. I feel he was, well taken care of and safe. The staff is very friendly (to me and the residents) and the facility was kept clean and sanitary. There were lots of activities and consistent routines much of the time. I was not able to give my Father the level of care he needed and this facility gave him a wonderful place to live and met his needs with caring and capable people. I thank them very much!

[Names removed] (and so many more) take such good care of my dad. He can be very difficult but they treat him with respect, patience, and kindness. Than you for all you do!

My father was a resident of Farmington Square and recently passed at the age of 80 from Lewy body dementia. He moved to Farmington Square in the later stages of the disease and I must commend the staff for their treatment of him. He was always greeted with a smile and communication even though he was unable to respond. Acts of kindness humanizing never ceased and whenever I visited there would be staff checking on him of by the room within 15 minutes of my arrival. To all the staff at Farmington Square, Thank you! And a special thank you to the administration who kept in constant contact - [names removed].

The staff went out of their way to make certain the move in transition went as good as could be expected.

My mother has lived in Farmington Square for almost two years. The quality of care giving and the staff is outstanding. She has so many fun activities to do she is never bored - lots of outings (shopping, library, dancing at the Senior Center nearby.) She is a vegetarian and the kitchen staff accommodates her. She actually likes the food. The staff have made an effort to know her, so she has built meaningful relationships with them and other residents. I can relax knowing she is in good hands.

After a bad experience for my husband at another care center I think there are important factors at a care center - there must be enough care givers and they must be dedicated caring people - Quantity and quality! Farmington Square qualifies in both areas.

I cannot say enough positive things about this facility and how they have cared for my parents. The staff, the facility and the food are all great!
