I knew dementia care was going to be needed soon but came way sooner than I planned after mom had a fall. I was fortunate enough to find Parkview Gardens Dementia Care and couldn't be happier. Every single person on staff is amazing. The staff goes above and beyond, always helping me and my stepdad out with anything at any time. My stepdad is having extreme issues missing his wife. I seriously don't think the head nurse sleeps at all. She is always willing to chat with him and help walk him through the emotions he's experiencing. I get texts or calls from them every time there's an issue. I've even been asked what mom's story was, so they could relate to her better. Who in today's world would do that, if they didn't really care? I never worry about my mom and her safety; I have full confidence that these people love their jobs and their residents. I surely hope I don't get dementia. But if I do, gosh I hope my kids put me with people this amazing.... Read more

[name removed], the nurse manager, is a partner in caring for my mom. I know I can call her at any time for support. All of the staff are super respectful of mom! Always address her as Miss [name removed]. I love it and mom tells me she likes all the staff. The facility offers activities and the nurse manager makes sure mom attends those that she can participate in. The facility is always clean. Never any odors. My mom also says the food is good.

Our tour experience with Parkview Gardens was very positive. I really liked the look and layout of the facility. They had a lot of great amenities offered for the residents. It came down to the cost for us and it was just too expensive.
The couple of times we have been there to visit our loved one they have brought in live entertainment to play music and they also have good physical activities. They also bring a dog in occasionally to visit which the residents enjoy. We have recommend the Parkview Gardens and will continue to recommend the community to families.

The visit went well. The facilities are beautiful. They offer a good variety of services/activities for the residents. If he would start in assisted living, he would have a life alert like necklace w/GPS. We could have his medications monitored and he would have meals and housekeeping provided. They require a year long lease but it can be terminated with a longer notice. The drawback is it is a very large facility and I wonder if my Dad would get lost, going down for meals and such.

The community is really nice, but things have slowed down due to covid. My mom is getting excellent care in my opinion, the food is good and they have a good variety. The room sizes are good-sized and you can set it up how you like. The kitchen in the unit has an optional counter that can be removed. I would recommend this community.

My uncle and I enjoyed our tour of Parkview Gardens. It appeared to be a very nice facility with care options available based on a nurse's assessment when a person decides that they need assistive living.

A Place for Mom has scored Parkview Gardens 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
