Staffing is an issue at most places. Park Creek had a great cook, but she left. Staff would come and go. Most of the staff were friendly and did a good job. We wondered if salary was the issue, but don't know for sure. The meals were great with the cook that left, but after she left they were just okay. I would recommend the facility to others.... They are bought out by new owners and have raised their prices The food is spicey so my mom doesn't like it and news a second choice if don't like the first. Only have a couple activities, but it is nothing that she enjoys.

Park Creek Retirement is a hidden gem. It's a perfect environment for my loved one. I like everything about it, per my ratings above - the staff, how friendly people are, how clean the facility is. It's a comfortable place to be, and I feel very comfortable that my loved one is in good hands there.

This was disappointing, it was dark and felt cold and uncomfortable here.
Our experience was good, the community was clean and the staff was nice. Our loved one seemed to enjoy the food, she never complained and they did offer a variety of activities even though she did not always participate in them. We chose this community because our mother enjoyed it and that was what was most important and the value was good.

My mom has been at Park Creek for almost three years now. I have nothing negative to say about it. Most of the residents have severe dementia and are not really aware. Every time I visit they all appear to be very well taken care of. The facilitator can be very abrubt and "matter of fact". She does not pamper the residents and does not sugar coat anything with visitors. But she knows her stuff and makes sure everyone is very well taken care of. The common/dining room is where they encourage the residents to spend their time so that they can socialize and participate in activities. It is a very "homey" atmosphere with a fire place and a lot of comfy seating areas as well as a restaurant style dining room. The individual living spaces are more than adequate. This is a very reasonably priced facility. They do not have all the bells and whistles that some of the $6,000 per month places have, but my mom does not need or want all that. It's a very "comfortable" place that feels like home. The nurses are wonderful and the entire staff gets to know all of the residents and treat them all like family. I have already told my children that I would like to live there when/if the time comes.

The manager there was a witch and the halls are very narrow. We just did not like it at all, every one of my siblings and my mother didn't like it. First of all, there were 5 of us that showed up and she didn't like that, she was probably expecting one or two, so she had me and my sister come into her tiny messy office and the rest of them had to wait in the cramped hallway. She was not friendly at all and it turns out, towards the end of our tour, we ran into a friend of ours that my mom had known for years and she had jsut been there for 2 weeks. She was headed for the cafeteria and we wanted to go and say goodbye and the maanger woman says "we don't allow that, we want them to eat when they're supposed to eat and if you sit down and talk to her it will distract her from eating." We didn't like that at all.

A Place for Mom has scored Park Creek Retirement 6.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
