I came to the area to visit. While visiting I took a tour of the facility. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They introduced some of the residents by first names that were in the community areas and they all spoke highly of the facility. I was impressed by the first name basis on both sides. There were activities going on and the residents and staff were engaging and seemed to be enjoying the activities. The facilities were very clean and had an inviting feel. I was expecting a cold and sterile environment but was met with a friendly and homey atmosphere. Thank you for the pleasant and educational tour.

Have been here for four years and can't say enough. From the moment I entered the campus it felt like home. The grounds are well kept and the houses are individually designed. No cookie cutter here. The atmosphere is so friendly with both residents and staff. We have an activity director who keeps us entertained as well as exersize at our Gym with a professional coach. Life at Mt. Pleasant is wonderful.

The facility was very nice and I heard great things about them. They were kind of cagey about answering my questions about the process for medicaid which is why we went with another facility.
They did have activities going on, and other than asking my loved one with dementia if he'd like to participate, or come to dinner, they didn't encourage him to participate. He would say no, and they wouldn't push even just a little harder. For instance, I wish they would have rephrased it and said something like "Hey, it's time for dinner. Let's go." I think they were understaffed. I don't think the nurses were bad, there just weren't enough of them. When we would come to visit, we would see somebody at the front desk, and that was it. Otherwise, you just couldn't find any other staff there. Our other family members had the same kinds of experiences. We came to visit once when they weren't expecting us after the holidays. The nurse's aide walked in and gave an audible gasp when she saw us there. HIs laundry that was supposed to be done every work was piled up in his closet There were crumbs all over the place. There was open food in his room, rotting fruit, poop on his shoes. And I talked with the director about it. When I got there for the meeting with her, there was a cleaning cart outside of his room and they had just cleaned. Then Covid came, and we couldn't go in to see him anymore. He kept falling, and had to go to the hospital and get stitches in the middle of the Covid outbreak. He fell again, which resulted in a subdural hematoma. The ER doctor said he would have taken him to the OR to drill his skull if he hadn't been at that advanced of an age. We felt so fortunate that another community helped us move our loved one out during Covid. Ohio Living would not allow us to come in to get his things, but they would charge us for the room if we left them there. They charged us $750 for them to pack his things up and leave them sitting out in the parking lot. When we unpacked, there were little things we found missing. They pretty much held us hostage for his belongings. They made us fill out a financial statement before he was allowed to be in their program. And anything they did, they kept adding on more and more costs until he was at the highest level of care. I told them I needed someone to be there in the morning to help him get dressed and get to breakfast, and someone there at night to help him undress and get into bed. With Alzheimer's, he wasn't able to tell us if these things were actually happening.

They are very good and helpful . Any questions I have are answered in the same day. The food is good not as many choices as in Independent Living. I would recommended them to anyone. Room sizes are large. They have a balcony on the second floor and a courtyard on the first floor for outdoor space. They have been doing a good job with the Covid -19.

If you are a full pay resident I assume your treatment and surroundings are better. The area for Medicaid seniors on the second floor above the rehab facility is not good. The nursing staff are overworked. Just passing medications took the only nurse off of her work on the evening shift. It was overcrowded and the patients were often treated rudely. If one patient needed 2 people to help them, again it would take the only other staff member on the floor.

We toured this community for care. We were not happy with the staff.since they could not answer a lot of the questions that we had. The community was clean and we liked the environment for my mom. They offered activities that might have been helpful. We suggest that other families tour this community for the options of care for a loved one

We are very happy with her. We put her in the independent living section and she we were advised she could participate in the activities. She can not get to them because they are in another building and they do not provide transportation so it's hard for her to participate.

Great, they are just great, In AL, there 2 ladies over 100 yrs old, that shows how great they are, I did not get to see their memory care. I just dropped in, 2 floors of memory care, they have their own PT there, a lot of in house care available, they have cottages, itr is huge, Church on premises.

Our experience has been with the independent living section, so we can't speak to the care they provide, but we're very pleased with Mount Pleasant so far! They were very helpful during the move-in process, and did a great job breaking down their pricing and billing structure for us. I really can't think of anything negative to say about them!

Very impressed with the free standing homes. Option for Mount Pleasant to buy and sale our home a definite plus. Location is a downside. Still need some solutions for issues Tom would have getting around the campus, but they have promised to get back with us. It sounds like he is the first blind person they've worked with.

A Place for Mom has scored Ohio Living Mount Pleasant 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
