In order to offer seniors with a safe and caring atmosphere where they may maintain their independence while pursuing their hobbies, sisters, staff members, and volunteers at Nazareth House dedicate their time and skills. We came here to visit my father, who is now a resident at [removed], a retirement community. However, my uncle wanted to stay, so he did, and he is now a resident and content doing what he does.

I would encourage others to keep looking. My loved one has been there for several years, and I still don't feel it is a warm and friendly community. It is is clean and in excellent repair. I guess my expectations for a real community are high. It would be nice to have facilitated interactions. In the years since my loved one has been there, I have yet to be in a meeting about a care plan for my loved one. There doesn't seem to a person aware of all the things the different residents' families are going through. There was one day that the Executive Director saw residents conversing and the director didn't care to see what the conversation was about, instead yelled to have the residents put their masks on. It would be nice to have smaller steaks for the residents during meals, and more meals geared towards the residents.

Excellent facility, best facility I have visited as a clinician. I have been working at skilled nursing facilities & ILF’s in San Diego & Nazareth House is head & shoulder above other locations with respect to resident care, nursing care, food, supervisor & each resident is treated with dignity & respect. An ideal location for a resident.

We are quite happy with it so far. They are very clean, and almost everyone there is quite warm, and friendly and patient. The peace of mind we get makes it a good value. Everyone in the care unit needs a lot of help, and sometimes it can take a few minutes for someone to get there. They have activities, and they are all different activities, some that are fairly creative. The residents are heavily encouraged to participate. I wish I had been trained on how to interact there, at first I didn't really know what to do in certain situations when I was visiting. I think the food is pretty good, and I think that she really enjoys it. When you walk in there is a calm, peaceful, caring, atmosphere, even thought it is quite active.
