We would leave all 5s for Paradise Village, with the exception that they could improve on a contact of some kind by an administrator or designated person, to reach out to loved ones with condolences when the resident passes away. Just a simple phone call would have been nice. [name removed] recently passed away unexpectedly, and any contact that we have had with PV has been prompted by us, ie.. contacting the receptionist to get ahold of the security team to find out what happened, and calling the billing department. It has been all business on their end. We haven't heard from them once. And we were a family who visited quite often. It has left a bad taste in our mouths.... Read more

Facility is nice and clean. Food was good. My dad fell and had multiple transports from facility to hospital. I feel he could have been watched over better after 1st fall. I feel the cost of care is extreme but seems the industry standard.

Very helpful staff. And great management. Apartment sizes are best of all! Compared to others we visited these are much bigger with full kitchen. They are working on improving the food.

Other than a language barrier, my father enjoys his residency here. The staff communicates with me and keeps me posted on his well-being and the care they provide for Dad is great. They make him feel comfortable.

Although they were likely, my elderly parents did not become residents of Paradise Village -- [removed]. They toured and were interviewed in 2024. Favorably impressed and inclined to move. However, the situation changed quickly. [name removed] is a true professional whom I will never, ever forget. She is kind, highly skilled, thorough, responsive and respectful. We were basically *potentials.* My parents resided at another Independent Living property, but required more attention. So, we started to explore. My dad died before a move could happen. [name removed] recommended an amazing Hospice Agency had it been needed; still follows up with me to ask how I'M doing; understood and applauded my mom's decision to move out of state to be w/extended family. Strong moral and ethical compass. My impression of PV overall and of [name removed], specifically, is top-notch.

I love it here at Paradise Village. This is like being in a resort. There are 4 resident buildings. I am on the 4th floor and there are 5 floors in each building. People walk around with smiles on their faces and everyone says hello. The staff is great and I think it is because they get treated well. If you have a last minute doctor visit and there is room in the van or car, they will take you. At my previous facility, you had to have a transportation request in 7 days in advance and there weren't any exceptions.

Based on the experience we have had so far, some suggestions for improvement would be to expand the communication to the residents via email and/or texts.

The employees are very friendly and helpful. The building is very nice and keep spotless. Lots of open space. There is always something for the residents to participate in. My relative even though she is younger than most, the residents have alway made her feel welcome. Inviting her to sit for dinner with them and when she passes someone while getting around, they always say hello. She has joined a club and is very happy.I am so impressed by this community that I would live there when I feel it is time.

They are 'unofficially' affiliated with the 7th Day Adventist Church, and they try to keep you from finding it out when you tour the place. You learn about once you are already hooked on the beautiful accommodations, and they reel you in. It didn't bother me a lot in the beginning, but it got worse. I moved in to 'Paradise,' and it seemed that so many residents are either evangelical ministers, or are married to one, or are children of missionaries or ministers. That's fine; to each, his own. I knew the place was not for me and I moved out. I'm a very 'live and let live' kind of person. Others there might be the same, but it would take months and months to find other like minded people there. There wasn't any help from staff to be able to find other like minded people. There was such a majority of 'religious nuts' that I had to get out ASAP. It was a discouraging waste of time and money.

The Paradise Valley Village has many good things going for it and a few rather bad, also. The architecture, construction, maintenance and management are excellent and a pleasure to live with, but, the food is way over-priced, weird and half the time so inedible it makes even Denny's look good. There seems to be a none working chef whose menue selections, layout and makeup are childish at best. The soups, salads, drinks are very good. Most buffets and maybe one meal per week are fine. The wait staff are very friendly and considerate. The $450/month food charge is unreasonable considering the above. Some residents are paying only $250??

A Place for Mom has scored Paradise Village 9.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
