Mulberry Gardens of Southington

[name removed] has been several times, and mom is more alert, participating in exercises, engaging in conversations! Much improvement! The place is beautiful open, sunny, all the members are smiling, saying hello, a very welcoming environment. They can go outdoors, and the grounds are fenced so the members will not wander off. They mail me a monthly calendar of activities we s. Different levels of exercises for those that are more mobile. Lots to choose from. I responded back with the ones I believe. Om would have interest. And they have catholic services and communion and EWTN Mass

No 2BR apartments, may not be an option, unless we change to 1BR option.

I really liked Mulberry Gardens. They offer the resources we need for my dad and are very close to my house. I also like that they have affiliated skilled care facilities in case we need them eventually.

Mulberry Gardens is a lovely facility; it just did not meet our specific needs for Mom's situation at this time particularly with anticipated future care needs.

We were suppose to be able to go on a tour here and when we got there was informed that they were running late. The receptionist was really rude and not helpful at all. Then when she did get in she gave sat us down and said a few things and that was it. They were very unprofessional and I did not feel comfortable there.

We toured here when we were looking for options. It was very clean, and they keep up with their patients. They have all kinds of programs there. You really couldn't ask for anything more.

I am overall very satisfied with mulberry and I would recommend it to anybody. It is a great community! If my loved one needs assisted living we would choose this one.

We toured this location when we were looking into options for my loved one. It was a very nice looking place, the facility itself was beautiful and they kept it very clean. All the residents and staff we encountered were friendly and happy. This place was definitely a close runner-up, but unfortunately they did not have any openings during the time of our search.

This was more of an assisted living kind of place and we were looking for something more independent. We had lunch there and it was bright, clean, and friendly, but they offered more Alzheimers care and neither of my husbands grandparents needed that.

This would have been our first pick for my mother but they didn't have any openings at the time. We liked the memory care program there. They seemed to be more interactive that even where she is now. We just really liked the whole place overall.

My mom was there when it first opened. At the time that my mother was there she had Alzheimer's and she did pretty good. As far as cost, it's pretty interesting because from the time my mom was there to the time that I starting looking for a place for my dad their cost had almost doubled and a lot of things that were included before are not anymore. I realize everyone needs to make a dollar but it's tough when they seem to be making it off one person.

Mulberry Gardens was half the price of another place I looked at. It's unbelievable the care she gets for the price. They're awesome. My mom is so, so happy there you have no idea. She's fussy about cleanliness, she's a retired nurse, and she comments on how clean it is so it's good to hear that. She can never say they're nothing to do becuase there's something to do from the time her feet touch the floor in the morning. They have outings, go out to restaurants, they take them to church and have different denominations come in for services, gardening, crafts, games, exercise classes and bingo, of course. I've made a standing appointment for her to get her hair done once a week. I'm so at peace with her there. I just wish she was closer.

Liked facility. Provides more services, at a cost, than currently required.

Wonderful facility with caring employees that starts with the director! CNAs and maintenance staff were very attentive. Nursing staff worked hard to stay on top of all resident's needs.

Very nice facility. I liked the idea of the dining rooms being so close to all the apts. Staff was wonderful-friendly and helpful. Shuttle to MD appointments nice feature.
