The people at Morningstar are amazing! They treat their residents with respect, dignity and love. The food is really good, and families are able to share a meal with their loved one at any time. My mother stayed here and she received excellent care from all the staff. she enjoyed being there. The nursing staff was very attentive and would answer when ever she used the call button. I highly recommend Morningstar.

My Mom loved the food for the most part. She thought Morningstar was a pretty place and she liked looking at the fresh flowers that were near the dining area. Her care team really strived to make her happy and well cared for. Although her time was too short at Morningstar, we became attached to several of the employees who went above and beyond in their care for her. When I interviewed for her to go there, I was told the residents have a button to push when they need assistance. Since my Mom was placed in memory care because of elderly dementia (not Alzheimer’s) they did not have these buttons to push for assistance. Her mobility was quite bad. Since she was not incontinent she required assistance to get into the bathroom. She would yell out for help for someone to come assist her. That is what they told her to do was to yell out. Often they did not hear her pleas so she would try to get to the bathroom on her own. She ended up fracturing her ankle, went into hospice, passed

My loved one was previously a resident at MorningStar of Littleton. The staff stole jewelry from my loved one. Management promised to make things right with mom regarding theft. They reneged on that promise after she passed. The food was okay and the activities were good. The cost/rent was very expensive.

Immediately upon learning of her missing items last December, we submitted reports to the Department of Health, local law enforcement and Adult Protective Services, who in turn conducted appropriate discovery. We apologize for your distress and will continue to cooperate with authorities in their investigation to arrive at conclusive findings.
The staff is beyond amazing. The care they are giving my parents is a beautiful thing to witness. I highly recommend Morning Star (Littleton) if you are looking for a new home for yourself or your loved ones.

Our mom has been at the MorningStar on Kipling Pkwy in Littleton since 2019. The facility is kept up well and staff does a nice job of decorating for holidays with a variety of activities for the residents. Medical care has been pretty good overall. The biggest issue in the past year or so has been the food -while some meals are fine, many others are skimpy, overcooked, tough and not as balanced nutritionally as they should be. Meal service is also quite slow at times. Good quality meals supervised by a knowledgeable chef and assistants needs to be a top priority as meals are often the highlight of residents’ day. It hurts the quality of an otherwise nice assisted living facility.

We toured MorningStar Assisted Living and Memory Care of Littleton during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. We decided to continue on with our search and to tour other facilities.

It is a nice place everyone is very friendly. We have had some issues with housekeeping but overall a nice place. It seemed like it had more energy and alive people are always going in and out and hanging out in the public areas.

The staff is friendly and the Director is always available if the family has any questions or concerns. She does not mind being bothered with even the simplest of questions. The food quality is good, but sometimes depends on the day. We've had some issues with food hours. They say the dining room is open until 7pm, but it is always closing early and there have been some issues with limited food being available at later hours. Usually not a problem because most older people eat early, but this is not the case with my mother in law who likes to eat dinner late. The staff could be a little more proactive with certain care issues, like showers. They will address it if we ask, but sometimes it seems very reactive to our request. No place is perfect, but overall it is really good and we would definitely recommend it to others.

They were doing what was expected, but she needed more help, than what they offered. Eveyone was really nice. The value for the money was average. If they can't offer the level of care that is needed, they should be more transparent/communicate or make the family aware of what level of care they can provide.

My mom is currently a resident at MorningStar in their assisted living facility. This is a small facility with a terrific staff. I love that I recognize most of the staff when I visit and that they recognize me! This is exactly the "home" that my sister and I envisioned for my mom when we knew that an assisted living facility was in her future. The staff is very knowledgeable in senior issues, which was very important to our family, but they are also so very caring and compassionate--my guess is that having both an empathy for the residents and a thorough knowledge of senior issues may be somewhat of an anomaly. My mom entered Morningstar during the Covid 19 crisis. Altough visitation is limited, certainly not Morningstar's fault, the staff has accommodated our many requests to the best of their ability. With regard to the facility itself, it is very well kept and doesn't look like an assisted living facility, something that appealed to our family. My mom's "apartment" is quite nice, with high ceilings and a large, bright bay window. There are many activities available to the residents and too many amenities to name here--see their website! We have been fortunate to have Mom at MorningStar at Littleton since November of 2018. For the first 18 months she lived on the Assisted Living side and most recently has transitioned to the Memory Care Unit. This place is great for so many reasons! Let’s start with the layout. The place feels like a home, not a dorm or your standard senior living facility. The facility is set up so that there are numerous places to sit and visit, both inside and outside. There a numerous activities and outings for residents to involve themselves as well. But by far, the most important component is the people. The staff are caring, compassionate and committed. There is overlap between the AL and Memory Care side so that residents maintain relationships. Although my preference would be for Mom to be able to live independently this is just not in the cards as they say. MorningStar at Littleton is as good an option as there could be in our opinion. May 11, 2020Finding favor in the eyes of our residents and families is the ultimate litmus test. Of course it is! Here, in the cheery reports of contented lives and happy hearts does the MorningStar brand find its fullest measure.
We moved my grandfather in during the quarantine which was an unbelievably stressful time. All of the staff went above and beyond to ensure that the entire move in process was as painless and possible and ensure that my grandfather was comfortable through everything. Because of visitation restrictions the staff has been beyond helpful in doing everything from providing companionship to assisting with phone calls and any other challenges that have come up. I think I might be one of the most difficult and needy people that they deal with because of my worrying about my grandfather. They have NEVER made me feel like I am needy but the opposite with ensuring me that they APPRECIATE that I am involved with being there for him. The facility is beautiful and the staff are too inside and out! Grateful to have such a wonderful team supporting my family through this! My grandfather never wanted to leave his house, but has found his care team to make this difficult period truly enjoyable!

We realize that these are difficult times for everyone and from the depth of our hearts we try our hardest to make our residents feel loved and appreciated, and most of all we keep them safe.
It's now been 8 months since my Mom moved into Morningstar at Ridgegate. We were attracted to the Facilities, meal quality, amenities and of course care staff. All have been excellent. When I come over and Mom and I are walking around, at least a half dozen staff members say hello and something positive. The staff to resident ratio seems really good. There are also so many activities. Food is usually quite good. My Mom has made a lot of friends and is happier now than when she was living at home. She says it is like living in a 5 star hotel!

MorningStar was an excellent facility for my sister to live at after several weeks in rehab. She was cared for by an attentive and dedicated staff. The dining experience could not have been better, both from the environment and quality and selection of food. There were a variety of social events which my sister, who is a very social person, fully enjoyed. I cannot think of a singe thing MorningStar could have done to improve the quality of her stay.

The MorningStar was the first place we toured, and it was just way too big. My parents wanted something more cozy and homelike. Also, it was 2 stories and my father did not want my mother having to take the stairs every time if they ended up in the second story.

I toured this community while looking into respite care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.
