Beautiful community, highly recommend!

There were some hiccups at the beginning with medications due to turnover of higher level staff. The staff did there best to keep everything clean. However it is difficult with the challenges that some of the residents face. the staff was incredibly friendly and supportive at all times. I could sleep at night cuz I knew mom was being well cared for, this was not the case at her previous facility. When I took mom upstairs to the dining area the food was excellent. However, it seemed like it took too long to get to memory support and wasn't as good. There were some activities but not a ton of participation. When [name removed]arrived, activities and participation in them was increasing. The [fee removed] seemed high when more than half was for housing. The rooms are very nice with huge windows. Wish they had slightly more square footage. The care was excellent. We had an excellent experience at The Ridge. [name removed] is impressive. She has knowledge of all that is happening in the facility. She is visible in the building and knows most of the residents and their families.

The care services for memory care gets a 4.5. My mom loves the activities, décor, staff are all super friendly and helpful. Location close to shopping and some Drs. We like the décor and how light and happy it feels. The art keeps things interesting as you walk around. We've been told it's a great deal as you don't have to buy in a huge $, nor buy your place. She's not currently in assisted living. Mom found her place to blossom with caring staff, lots of activities and a friendly community. Family found a perfect place for their next phase.

Amazing Community, and we definitely recommend.

The facility is clean. Cleaners for individual rooms often don't do the greatest job. Most of the staff are amazing, a few not. think they try for the most part. But things fall through the cracks. They're not great about getting my mom to shower, and I discovered they were NEVER changing her bed linens, which they were supposed to be doing. With the activities, again they try hard and for the most part do a good job. It's just hard to come up with things to keep people engaged. Overall we love The Ridge. It's a stunning place with many amazing staff members and fun things to do. My mom happens not to be thriving there, which dampens my enthusiasm, but that is more a reflection of my mom's cognitive condition than any fault of The Ridge. I observe many happy residents there; sadly, my mom isn't one of them.

"Top- notch Facility"

Very, very friendly staff. However, perhaps because of a little bit unusual move-in process on our part, the first few days were very confusing. It seemed head and shoulders nicer in many ways than other places we looked at.

Our family experience -

Quality of care does not apply as they are in independent living. Staff is always very friendly and helpful . Parents are in the Summit building, an annex off the main building. It has been wonderful! Everything they need is basically there and a short distance to main building for dinner, movies, etc. Negative - dog area is small and not a lot of places to walk unless you go to main courtyard. This is a minor negative we were aware of.

Would recommend

Overall the experience has been quite good. Mostly the friendliness of the staff and residents. Staff is responsive if my mom needs anything. It is very clean and well maintained. And there are a lot of opportunities for things to do. My mom mostly likes the intellectual activities but also the movies. They occasionally have music programs. And she like to go to the gym.

Amazing Place

My loved one loves food. They offer three meals per day. They have tons of activities. It's an amazing place, and I would recommend to anyone. It's a larger community, and it's easy for your loved one to get lost, if they have memory issues.

Beautiful Facility but Poor Management

The building is new and grand and decorated with flair. It has the feel of a great hotel. It's clean, quiet and there are a lot of activities. However, upon moving in we had major communication issues with the head staff which were never resolved. In 6 months, we've had pain meds go missing, other meds taking 3+ days to show up, meals in restaurants very bland, wait staff new every day - no consistency, long waits when call button is pressed for help, inconsistent communication from staff - sometimes none at all. It's making us consider moving to a new facility.

A great place for an aging parent to live

Everything is superb here. We're just so happy with it and happy to have mom here. She's happy here, too. Medication management was an issue, but ever since they switched from the contracted company they were using, it has improved significantly. Kudos to them for that! The food is excellent and mom really likes it! I think it's great, too! I'd have them come to my home to cook if I could! Communication with the family is very good. Housekeeping is often and it's always very clean. (name removed) at the front desk is always so kind and helpful, she's wonderful! Without hesitation, I would recommend them to family and friends.

So far, not so good.

The facility is really nice. It all looks beautiful. The rooms are okay. Layouts are good, but is not good quality. The staff is mediocre. The restaurant, and food is terrible. Not enough staff to wait on you. We waited on hour to be served, and the food itself it over priced and terrible. Diners so far have been at least $25 a piece. You are "given" $450 a month to spend with your monthly fee. The restaurant is run by a separate company than the main facility. Sad.

This was a beautiful facility. It was brand new and very clean and well organized but did not feel like it would be good for dementia patients. This community felt confusing and at the time not a lot of residents, so there was not a lot of interaction.

This is the Place

The staff, food, and activities are wonderful. This is a pleasant environment. It feels like a resort or hotel. The residents are friendly along with the staff. There are only 220 people living in Independent living. Some of the activities available are swimming pool, walking path in the pool, pickle ball, and more for the residents to participate in.

A Lovely Place with Lots of Wonderful Opportunities

I think this place is really fabulous. Given the right circumstances and the right resident, there's a tremendous quality of life that they offer. Most of the residents I see seem to be very happy and content. My loved one is not one of them, but she has always been a difficult person and now has dementia exacerbating those qualities. The common spaces are gorgeous and kept very clean, but my loved one's apartment isn't as clean as I would like to see it, especially her bathroom. Their housekeeping crew comes in once a week, and their care team comes in multiples times a day. But I'm still not clear on what the care team's job description is and if they're partly responsible for that or not. In the resident care that they provide, I find the care team to be excellent. The director can be difficult with communication. There are times where I email her with questions or concerns, and I have to email her 2-3 times to get any sort of response. For the food, they offer a nice variety on their menu. But the food is often bland, which I suppose is to be expected in places like this. They have plenty of awesome activities, but my loved one doesn't really participate in any of them. They do encourage her to participate though, and they've even tried to be more firm yet still kind. They've been really good about trying with her.
