My father was here for 2 days and we had him moved immediately. Be aware there are 2 sides to facility. One looks like the brochure and the other side has long term people living there and the quality of care is awful. We chose this because of the 4 star review. What a huge mistake! 2 days of horror stories.

My loved one enjoyed it and they treated him well. The staff were very responsive. He said the meals were pretty good. It was kind of bland but not everybody wants spices. They did not contact me but he wasn't there all that long.

I was happy there. It was beneficial. The rehab was good. I was really happy with all the staff. I made some nice friends and I am keeping in touch with them. They should provide more linens. I enjoyed the food. The communication was good. They did not explain much.

It is good and the therapy is excellent. The staff is wonderful but the night staff are not real consistent. The medications are late. The case manager and kitchen staff are good. The CNA's are good too. The meals are not very good. My family is here when they update me. My nurses both update me.

It actually is a very nice facility. My loved one seems to be happy there and well fed there. There have been some major concerns with not all his critical medications being administered while he's there. When relatives came to visit they told us that he would be wandering the halls alone and sometimes would get lost and the staff would have to find him and bring him back to the right area. The staff never told us about these things happening, it was all was relayed to us through family. We would be more comfortable if they could tell us what he had been doing.

My experience at Mission Palms of Mesa was fairly good. The therapy program is fantastic but in general, they could use more aides. A majority of the staff was friendly throughout my stay. There was also an issue with my medications that I ran into following my discharge from the facility. I am not sure whether or not it was the doctor or the nurses' responsibility but it was something that took a few days to straighten out. In terms of the actual care, the did beautifully, but they are just overworked. The meals here are better than the hospital but I think we could have more variety.

It was not good there. The administration was not good. My loved one did not complain about the meals. All of the departments need to improve, especially case management.

The place is clean and it looks nice enough. I feel like a lot of the employees are rude and obnoxious. It doesn't seem like anyone there likes their job. My brother will ask for things and 20 minutes later they still haven't come to check on him. The staff seem to just tell us what they think we want to hear so we go away and then they don't do anything. I'm not happy with the doctor they have there. There was an issue with the staff not calling me when people would come and check my brother out for a few hours.

The overall experience was terrible. I have been there on three other occasions and had great experiences before, which is why I had chosen them for this stay. This was so disappointing because I had been treated so kindly on my past stays. The food is excellent, the administrative staff are still wonderful, and the physical therapy and occupational therapy are fabulous. I was put on a do-not-get-up list when I'd asked to be gotten up for breakfast. They never, even once, offered to give me a bed bath and I couldn't even find a wash rag. The staff were kind of mean. If my roommate hadn't made my bed with new sheets, I wouldn't have had my sheets changed during my stay. I would only recommend them if I knew things have gotten better after this stay. The food was outstanding and the chef makes his own soup, and oh my word, you can't get better than homemade soup.

This place is what I've now dubbed the "house of horrors".... The staff just doesn't seem to care AT ALL...Woke me up at 4 a.m. to sign papers...Really? 4 a.m.? Whenever I needed a nurse, took 1-2 HOURS for them to respond to my "pushing the button". The food is something I wouldn't give to my dog or even a cockroach! My poor roomate had to sit in her own pee for two hours because no one came to take her to the restroom. Plus, she was diabetic and on oxygen and took 10 meds which she never recieved her whole first day. She ended up having to call 911 to get her the hell out of there. I needed transportation to a vital dr's appointment, and even though they had a month to realize this and assured me they would be there..no one showed. Thank God my husband could leave work and take me (though i was 2 hours late). I said I'd NEVER go back! And I want to warn anyone else to never use this facility! It needs to be shut down in the worst way. Please heed my warning~~~~

The staff was good. The food was good. I was surprised at how nice and good it was. There was lots of noise in the room from being so close to the nurse's station. My loved ones were very uncomfortable for many people. Rooms too cold. Had to turn off the air unit.

My nurse was good! She'd keep coming in the room at night to check on me, and gave me my meds when I needed them. What I didn't like was the wait. It took about 20 minutes to get help a couple of times. I like their night shift nurses. They'd come in right away. The physical therapists were very good too. They'd talk to me and tell me what I needed to do.
