I'll just say this...all of the folks who dooped me into placing my Aunt here have been fired (Director of Nursing, Administrator and Director of Sales)! Everyone is very nice until there is an issue then the buck gets passed. Needless to say I would not recommend this facility.

My mother [name removed], 83, stayed at Mira vie for three months over the summer. She was in the process of deciding if living at a home or at an apartment with help would be her long-term option. After three months and lots of positive things to say about Mira vie, She ultimately chose to move into an apartment near her son. Was happy with the level of service, although she was quite healthy so did not use a lot of service beyond 8 sessions of physical therapy and the social activities run by the staff. Her only feedback was the quality of the food which she thought was not very high standard and occasionally too salty. She wishes there was more flexibility in bringing your own food or changing things in the menu based on resident requests. Therefore, her decision to leave is not any specific issue with Mira vie, but her desire to live with part-time help in her own apartment

Everything about Mira Vie gets a 5, they are top notch. The staff at Mira Vie are professional, courtesy, flexibility, understanding & compassion for individuals needs. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this agency to other families

The price was raised by $[name removed] a month in less than a year. The staff though nice and caring are always changing and leaving. The Chelsea was sold to a new company that is taking over next month. I would not recommend to anyone

Beautiful facility, ideal northern NJ location, friendly staff There are different sizes for the rooms. My mom's is a studio. Nice size, bright, kitchenette, large bathroom.

Overall experience was good but administration was very unorganized. Newer facility, smaller/more manageable for mom, and the location. I would recommend to others.

From the moment my 97 year old mom moved in, the entire staff has been beyond wonderful! We feel blessed and grateful to have mom live here. Everyone is kind, respectful, fun, caring and compassionate. It was not an easy decision to leave her home in Nutley of 75 years, but she loves Chelsea and the friends she has made. [names removed] have been so nice and are very special people with huge hearts! A big thank you to all and I highly recommend Chelsea to other families ??????PS She loves the food too!??

My loved one previously lived at The Chelsea at Clifton. I think that the general staff is very hardworking and that the facility is a clean place that resembles an upscale hotel. They have a great Activities Director who truly does her best to plan fun things with the residents. They also have very good food, from what my loved one said. However, there is room for improvement at this facility. There is a lack of communication between upper management and families.

I think overall it has been a good experience - the staff is nice, the facility is new. We have experienced the following challenges: - when my loved one presses the button to ask for help, she often has to wait for an hour. Not good when there are emergencies. - meals are not designed for folks with issues like diabetes, which causes challenges for my loved one who needs a healthier diet. - took a looong time for cable to be setup and get certain room amenities that we requested and were paying for. - only 1 day a week that they will take someone to an appt making it hard to get help with that transport. - the cleaning that is done once a week isn't thorough - my loved one's floor has stains on it, they don't always put away laundry, laundry gets lost, not as clean as it could be. - I don't think they handle Covid as well as they could - they had an exposure and said people have to wear masks, but I catch staff with masks down.

I have a bad taste in my mouth because of the management. I have been calling about getting money back and they will not answer or give me a call back - it is very unprofessional of them. They do not know how to treat a customer or honor a contract. They will not answer any questions, we are waiting for a refund and they will not answer us at all, by email of phone. This was the main issue we have had with The Chelsea.

I would recommend the community, but I believe the community is unorganized when it comes to staffing throughout the community. I was to be on a call with the community and they have repeatedly been late to the calls with the family about my loved one's care plan. The community does reach out to the family with questions or concerns about our loved one when appropriate. The meals are being served in the dining three times a day.

It was okay. Not great, but not bad either. Just okay. They do a nice job. It started out very well. They were cooperative and attentive the first week my loved one was there. But then things kind of declined when they realized she needed more assistance than expected. And perhaps she was a bit difficult, which I imagine can be hard on caretakers. When we left, it took 3-4 weeks to get a refund since they have you have you pay in advance.
