My Mom is really doing fantastic with changes in Doctors, therapy and just an entire new way of approaching life. I referred someone to your company and will continue to do so when the need arises. Right now we're in good shape. It would be a five(5) in all my dealings with your company. They were professional, kind and honest. Every facility now is understaffed, but I feel as if Madonna Manor really tries to keep the patient first and do what's best for the family as well. My mom stayed there for three weeks after hip surgery and she was well taken care of. The OT/PT staff is amazing and very good at communicating with the family. I truly felt my Mom was valued.

If your loved one is Alzheimer and unable to communicate , please don’t go here . The care is horrible . The price is $XX,XXX [amount removed] a month . They will not get proper care . They work short handed and do not give prescribed meds as prescribed on schedule, or ignore meds all together . This happened to my mom . And verified .

My Mom has really really progressed in MM . She went to Rehab and got out successfully. She had a UTI and as an elderly woman it was rough on her and all of us. They dealt with that and she greatly improved mentally. She thought my Dad was not dead and had joined the circus. Her mental, motor and psychological improved to the point to where she is now in Assisted Living with some minor help. They are patient with my mom and I truly thought she would not be here today last year. Her Parkinson's medicine has been cut in half so it has been invaluable to her and us. Sometimes they have staffing issues but they know us and we trust them with her. I truly was a blind man stumbling in the dark. The UTI forced her into memory loss and that was the toughest time. They pulled her in from lack of lucidity.

My grandma (Through marriage) has been there roughly a year. We was all very concerned for her in the beginning. We was worried she would give up since she no longer could live in her beloved home. She is 95 years old and is still energetic as ever !! Long story short, she absolutely loves this place!!! She talks so highly of all the staff. Every time I go there to visit her they all are very respectful. It’s very clean. They offer several different activities for their residents. As well as mass for those who religion is catholic. As well as other services… I have to say I’m super happy with Madonna Manor. If my grandma is happy then we all are happy!! She is a little hard to please but she hasn’t had one complaint to us yet!! This is a go to place for ur loved ones. A little costly. but in my opinion, money is well spent if your loved one is happy :)

Dad was in assisted living for 3 years. Recurring emergency response issues at night. Dining room and food issues seem to improving with new chef. Staffing always seemed off. Especially bad on night shift in long term care. Family had to spend the night or pay home health aide to feel comfortable about overnight safety. Definitely not worth the money.

My mother [Name removed] stayed a Madonna Manor for approximately 10 months. During this time the “Manor” always seemed to be short staffed for nurses and relied heavily on aides which don’t get me wrong , in facilities like these and especially in the memory care units this is very difficult work and it’s usually in my opinion underpaid. Also during this time she needed to have her legs wrapped every morning due to her legs swelling from CHF and more often than not they were never wrapped. Again a direct result of under staffing. Also at issue was the food, it was terrible, when we first got there it was pretty good but then they change chefs and I wouldn’t feed this food to my dog. Cold, poor quality under seasoned and not appealing even to look at. The aides that fed the memory care patients at times even refused to even serve it. We complained numerous times but nothing was ever done. I really find it difficult to write this because the facility it’s self is very nice, and has great potential but whoever is running the facility needs to step aside and put someone in place that will try and fix these issues.

During the past two years, Madonna Manor has declined to the point of awful. Continual staff turnover. Filthy hallway carpet. Sometimes odors all the way to the lobby. Staff doesn’t show up, leaving residents unsafe, without their meds, and without other needed care. The aides who do show up for work are very nice, however.—the one saving grace. Management turnover is frequent and those who remain are ineffectual and simply give lip service to complaints. Owner CHI better make big improvements to the facility and care level., as both residents and their families are very upset.

When my loved one first moved into Madonna Manor a few years ago, the assisted living wing was attractive and clean. Now the facility is in desperate need of good leadership and many repairs and improvements. Caregivers and other staff are quitting and/or not showing up for shifts. Residents are left at risk and sometimes not receiving meals and medications. Further, the place is not being maintained. Maintenance workers have quit. Weekly cleaning of apartment is done very poorly. And the carpet throughout the facility is FILTHY and smelly. I truly regret having to write a review like this, but, until problems are addressed and corrected (please no more excuses and lip service), I would urge family members to please think twice before placing a loved one at Madonna Manor. [Name removed] (the owner) needs to make many improvements immediately, as Madonna Manor's reputation in the community is sinking fast.

In the 2-plus years my relative has been at Madonna Manor, the services have steadily declined, despite the escalating cost of residency here. Staffing problems are continual. Many of the aides are very, very caring and helpful, but the facility is under-staffed and there’s little backup when aides call in sick or don’t show up. This means call buttons are not answered for long periods, meds are not always distributed, and emergencies are not addressed quickly. Food is only fair, but this is a constant complaint at assisted living/nursing care facilities. Madonna Manor’s management MUST correct these problems. Seniors deserve much better.

My mother has been a resident of Madonna manor assisted living for five years. As with all nursing facilities she has good care givers and not good. We are basically mostly pleased with services. However we have had to hire our own caregiver twice a week to help with bathing. Madonna manor has not been able to provide bathing to our assisted living mother. We just wanted encouragement to shower twice weekly and to call if mom refuses to shower. We continued to find mom in dirty gowns and no calls stating she refuses to shower. She has gone weeks without bathing, yet we are charged for services she does not receive. I am not able to provide services due to my own health issues. Now I know she will be bathed since we have our own care giver coming twice weekly. I do not mean to say anything bad about Madonna manor, but we are very disappointed in care given to our mother. I would move her but she knows people there and does not want to go any where else.

My loved one lives in Madonna Manor, and overall, I feel like they stake good care of him, but sometimes the help seems off to me, like they don't always know where his things are, they don't always know how to get him up. The admissions lady that helped me has been very easy to work with though. I think she does a good job and she's very helpful. The place is also clean, and close by. Overall, I would say that it is an alright place.

We are very happy with the services my father is receiving at Madonna Manor. The staff has been very friendly and caring, the place is clean and tidy, and my dad seems to like the food. I’m not usually there during activity times, but I do know that they have many activities to keep the residents busy. We were also looking for a facility with a spiritual community; that was big for us. Madonna caters to this need, so we are very happy with it.

A Place for Mom has scored Madonna Manor 7.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
