This is a good community. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff are friendly and accommodating to the resident's needs. The staff communication with the family is good if we have questions. There are three meals a day served to the residents and they have choices to choose from.... Read more

My grandmother is a resident at St. Gabriel's in Murrells Inlet, SC. We have brought our concerns to their staff and management numerous times, and each time we are "yessed" and things are ok for a few days. Then things go back to uncaring and neglectful. Here is a partial list of our concerns: 1. Resident was prescribed a pureed diet by a doctor. She ONLY receives broth on a daily basis....once in awhile they will give her pudding or applesauce. Her nutritional needs are not being met. 2. Resident needs assistance walking, even short distances like from her bed/chair to her bathroom. Assistance is almost always severely delayed...often by 30-90 minutes. The facility claims their "response time" is under 10 minutes, but that time is the time it takes for an employee to come to the resident to ask what she needs and then that employee leaves to get the appropriate person to address the need. Resident's needs are not met for 30-90 minutes. 3. Due to Covid19 safeguards, the facility will not transport the resident to necessary medical appointments, yet they are allowing new residents to enter the facility.

All I can say about this facility is WOW! I would honestly say this is as close to a 5 star hotel as they get with all the amenities available for senior's enjoyment and socialization. [Name removed] was very informative and caring about our budget and a pleasant to meet with. This would be the #1 choice hands down, if the finances were not an issue for our situation.

I cannot say enough good things about Thrive Assisted Living! This is a wonderful facility in which to place your loved ones. My father has been in Thrive for 2 years. I loved it from the minute I walked in the door. The place is beautiful and all of the staff are very friendly and treat everyone with great respect and kindness. They have lots of activities and try to keep interaction between the residents and the staff. My Dad is very happy here and loves that the staff is always willing to help him immediately when he approaches them with a problem. I know I never have to worry when I am away because I know Dad is in good hands.

[name removed] was really nice. Memory care center was not a sad place like other areas. Have a 2 bed with 2 bath, no pets but not a deal breaker yet. Neg - no pets, no toaster

[name removed] we spent time with us, answered all our questions and provided us this information on things we hadn’t thought of. The tour was amazing and loved the amounts of options available to Mom. Definitely on the second visit list. Thank you [name removed] for everything!

This place is the Cadillac of Assisted Living. If money is no object , this is my top choice. It is like a fancy hotel with engaged staff. Food was top notch. Studio Rooms are a great size, large closets , large bathrooms, can easily fit a wheelchair as well as a chest of drawers!! I only wish we could afford this.

A new community and overall very attentive staff. This community was not necessarily the right fit for my relative, as well as another negative regarding the price of private room memory care.

This community is top notch. The staff have been attentive, caring and gone out of their way to help my mom settle into this community. The entire staff is upbeat and there is a positive atmosphere throughout the community. Mom likes the food and they keep the community very clean and well maintained. This community is one of the finest we have seen. I would recommend this community.

The staff are wonderful to my mother in law and the family. She is always saying how nice everyone is. The food is good and they offer healthy options. They offer daily activities, exercise class, trips to the store and other outings. The community is beautiful. They have carpeting in the hallways and the rooms. I would highly recommend this community.

Me and my loved one wanted to take a tour of this place, but it was not open yet. However, we were able to go to there office and speak with the people. We liked everything that we heard. They had a great concept for there memory care department. The only thing was teh price.

My loved one was very impressed with Thrive Assisted Living and Memory Care. The community is in the process of being built and will open at the end of October 2016. She feels that she will be able to better connect with others that will be in independent living because memory care is kept separate. The community will have a larger community and they will have many amenities available for the residents. The staff shared the way the layouts and how the fitness center will be.
