The windows need to replaced badly and hallways and resident door's need painting immediately. The halls smell awful. It's not a bad community at all but for the price they are paying these things should be done immediately. [name removed] at the front desk is amazing. She made moving so easy. The laundry rooms in the basement are a little scary looking honestly. Otherwise the activities are good. My mom does not get care there. She just gets food from time to time which is great. Love that there is a grocery store on site and doctors office/ pharmacy.... Read more

I'd say 0 on all if it ... meals went to hell in a handbasket ... restaurant (menu never had what was advertised to have) was closed 2x's by health department... scarce to no bus service ... it was a wretched place. Legacy was a nightmare... six rounds of bed bugs last year. Just wouldn't ever recommend it ... I think they are changing it to a facility open to all ages.

The Cafe is never open, like they keep closing down therefore there is never food available in the community and bedbugs are a constant problem. There is usually never anyone available in the rental office to do anything other than leave a note. Elevator has been broken for over 1 year. They do a pretty good job helping me with the medication

We had high hopes about this apartment, but it all came to a stretching halt! No transportation is offered because they can't find van drivers, roaches in the hallways and you have to treat aggressively so they won't stay in your apartment, a/c has been broken several times on very hot days, up to a week!! My aunt got stuck in the elevators, so NO! I do not recommend this apartment to anyone.

Do not rent from there. The worst place I could have ever put my dad at. They just use the elderly, don't fix anything. Unsanitary. Just ridiculous

I've lived here for a year and want OUT. The bed bug infestations, poor management, unresponsive management, crime, and unsafe living conditions are rampant. Google the name of the facility and read the news reports about the issues here. The place is a nightmare. I have Stage Five Renal disease, NO air conditioning at all this year, temps in the 90s and 100s during the day, and NO ONE responding to fix it. The bed bugs, roaches, fleas, and vermin from elderly hoarders and unclean and unsanitary living conditions by many of the older renters are atrocious. Staff turnover is high. While "new management" is desperate to get renters in as a mass exodus of long-term residents has cost them income, they are lying through their teeth. The restaurant they tout so highly has NOT existed for MONTHS as the health department shut them down and vendors fled because of low attendance (due to crappy, all-fried foods). DO NOT RENT HERE! RUN AWAY!!!

I was previously a resident at Legacy at Imperial Village and everything about the experience was horrible. It is a roach infested building and they try to hide it. I ended up having to leave and move to a different place. Roaches were running across my face as I slept. I would not recommend this facility to others.

When my loved one moved in a wonderful employee, [name removed], was helpful and respectful. She left for Maternity leave and interacting with staff became a bit difficult. Work orders not attended to in a month. Rooms to warm and cannot lower temp. There are cockroaches in the hallway. It appears that there has been a bit of staff changes. Things sound like response to work orders may improve. Facility apparently is trying to hire maintenance staff.

My loved one was previously a resident at Legacy at Imperial Village. We moved my loved one to a cleaner facility asap. Concerns were expressed and even documented, but were never correctly addressed. I would not recommend this facility to others.

My mother moved in a few months before the current owners bought the facility, and everything was great, which is why we chose it. As soon as this company bought it, things started going down hill & things have only gotten worse. We had an agreed on & signed move out date, which was early in the month. LIV pulled the full months rent, saying their system is not set up to prorate. I've left MULTIPLE voice-mails, e-mails & messages, and after more than 2 months, still have not seen a refund or able to get an answer as to when we will, and when I do actually speak to a live person, they are not very customer friendly or oriented. Unless you are a possible new resident, you really don't get much in the way of service, both customer service as well as service on any needs while you're living there. This facility has been there for over 50 years, and was a nice place to live until this company bought it. Now, I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you choose this place, good luck.

Based on the experience I have had so far with Legacy at Imperial Village there is definitely some room for improvement in some areas. 1 the elevator has not worked since May, There are some safety issues. They also quote once price and charge another price.

I've been here for 6 years and the place has gone downhill in the past two years. Washers and dryers took an 8-month fight to get replaced--and they went from free to pay machines. Two buildings have elevators broken. If someone moves in or out, there is no service for the others. The kitchen has been closed for almost two months. Squatters are all over the place. Homeless people come in and sleep in the lobbies. The roaches are under control but the bedbugs are not. Security was removed in the past several months. Druggies and drunks are everywhere. The owners refer to it as "Low income," which it is since they took over. Trash is piled up over the weekends. The Tenants' Association has to deliver packages from the USPS because management discontinued that service and packages were being stolen. There is theft, robbery, and assaults. Welcome to our golden years. If you have any other choice for your loved ones, take it.

I would recommend the place for people who are still relatively independent. I liked the size of the apartments. Security team could be improved. Full disclosure my brother in law died while living there (not the facility's fault) but the security guard freaked out when we had to open the apartment and we found a dead body. He was neither trained more equipped to handle the situation.

The staff have been pretty good. They have a new chef, but I have my own meals. I would like to see more activities, and they need to improve on more trips to the store. I would also like to see a pharmacy available for the residents. Make sure you get things, in writing before you move in. They are getting better.

They need to do better because I go there a lot and there are some things that need to cleaned up for those seniors living there. My dad pays a pretty decent amount to live there and the doors are not fixed. I've heard residents say that the door has been broken for well over a year. That's unacceptable. That is also a safety issue for anyone just walking in the building at night.

Legacy at Imperial Village is a really really nice community, it is beautiful. The ladies that would come to do the medicine in the mornings and evenings really did a good job. We do think the value is really good and we would recommend Legacy at Imperial Village to other families. Our loved ones only complaint is with the meals - sometimes they do not have what they say they have on the menu and according to our loved one there is a long wait time before you can even place your order

I toured this community and it was nice. However, it was high rise and we thought it would be too difficult for mom to navigate. Also, the food option wasn't included and was an additional cost.
My loved one has let me know that the food that is advertised in the brochure is not available to the residents. The transportation was running daily, and now they can't find someone to drive the bus so the community may have to stop this service for the residents. This makes it hard for the residents who don't drive to get to doctor appointments and stores for their items needed. I believe there is a laundry room in each building. There are currently only two washers and dryers working in a building and this isn't enough for the residents in the building to wash their clothes. The apartment is very nice for my loved one.

A Place for Mom has scored Legacy at Imperial Village 6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
