It's definitely a bit more hyped up than it really is, from the staff. I wish we had of asked about men/women ratio. And some of the activities really don't exist. There are an insanely amount of women there. Had we known that, we would've been able to talk to my uncle about it. He doesn't have many gentlemen to interact with. We're managing and thankfully I'm pretty close, so I'm able to get him out and about some. Cleanliness - It is a new facility. However it will not stay clean long If Harmony continues to not hire enough housekeepers ( and retain them). To clean the facility on a weekly basis. Friendliness of staff - some staff members are genuinely friendly and kind. Others pretend to be friendly but lie and talk about residents behind their backs. Quality of care - not enough staff to meet patients needs Meals/Dining - They do not meet residents dietary needs. Often use pre packaged meals made elsewhere. Activities - limited activities not much of a variety for men and women but especially for men Value for cost - price was lower than other continuing care facilities "But as the saying goes, " you get what you pay for." If you need a continuing care facility short term/respite care. For longer make sure you give your notice 90 before you plan to leave. Otherwise I would not recommend Harmony of Hanover. We had to move my parents out of Harmony of Hanover. My dad needed a gluten free diet. My mom had to cook 3 meals a day for him in independent living. Then when my dad needed assisted living Harmony refused to accept my father into assisted living. In spite of saying by law they were required to serve gluten free food for my father. Harmony did not serve gluten free food. My father got sick multiple times when eating their gluten free food. Harmony offered very few gluten free food items. Harmony charged both my parents for meal plans even though they didn't eat downstairs. My mother in her 90's had to grocery shop and prepare 3 meals a day. Harmony basically threw my father out when he needed assisted living. On top of kicking my father out they made my mom remain as a resident because Harmony required a 90 day notice. My father was required to pay for a 30 days notice after Harmony refused to accept him into assisted living. So for the first time,in over 65 years of marriage my parents were forced to be separated for 3 months. We had to get respite care for my dad in two other facilities until we were able to get him into the Barrington, by Chippingham hospital. The Barrington does serve gluten free meals. My dad needed assisted living in [date removed]. The stress of being apart from my mom and having to move multiple times was extremely bad for my father who was in 93. Yes I say was because my father died [date removed]. I would not recommend Harmony of Hanover to anyone!!! The sales representative will say anything to get you in the door. Then "Corporate " changes any part of the contract you have with Harmony without notice. Multiple managers, chefs, housekeepers and billing employees were hired and fired while my parents were at Harmony of Hanover. I feel terrible for the residents who are not having their needs met but don't have family and finances to move out of Harmony.

The quality of care is very good, medications are administered as prescribed. Food is quite good but food service can be slow, likely difficulty in finding staff.

I probably would still recommend because I saw where she came from, and honestly even some of the best places still eventually reveal some flaws. Mom's opinions are colored by other issues that have little to do with the facility itself, but rather her mental health as a nonagenarian with possible untreated depressive tendencies

Worst experience of any type in the world. She declined in every way in the short 15 months she was there. Was hospitalized and at one point during the first 60 days I received a call out of the blue from some hospice agency asking if I was interested in services for her since she was hospitalized and I was not even advised by the facility that she had been taken to the hospital. The staff really started nice but the turnover is so high and once things started going bad they were completely rude. At one point we monitored how many staff were there and one month they on five occasions had only one person available in the facility for all floors. I asked repeatedly for a tour and to get her engaged in activities and it never happened. It is very sad because she wanted to live there for years. I had high hopes for her experience there. But the drained us communicated none and left her sitting in chair declining.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Harmony at Hanover. Improvement with housekeeping was needed, due to staff turnover. The meals were mediocre. The monthly rent fee increase was ridiculous! I would only recommend The Harmony at Hanover if they improved the issues mentioned above.

Harmony is good at soliciting input for changes from their residents. And, I have seen Harmony take action to implement desired changes (ie. cleaning carpets, adding Dollar Tree to the outings). The apartments and facility are remarkably quiet... no barking dogs, no loud televisions, etc. can be heard from the hall.

Harmony Collection was nearby, new and has a spacious apartment so she wouldn't feel like she was going in a nursing home. Other facilities felt like nursing homes. Everyone so far has been very friendly and helpful.

During the sales process make sure any telephone calls or in person conversations are documented. During our sales meeting no packages were available so a few documents were put in the package given to us. We were contacted by phone and an incentive would be given if we signed the lease by [date removed]. Rent would be prorated when [name removed] moved.. We signed on [date removed removed]. We moved [name removed] in on [date removed]. [date removed] bill showed rent beginning [date removed] and level of care started [date removed]. Approached billing person said she had to go by info given to her. She would have to speak to [name removed] and [name removed]. Two weeks later nothing had been done. [name removed] says she doesn't know who the people are that come into her room. She doesn't know how to get in touch with the people there

Overall- disappointing move-in experience. Should be some type of new resident orientation. Billing is not proactive. Why don't I automatically get a detailed statement of monthly charges B4 $ pulled from account? I have to request it??? Seems very archaic. Mom's care has been very good. Employees are nice. Medication management has been inconsistent at times. Tons of activities. Provide feedback to management and staff at every turn. They are receptive. [name removed] , Director of Nursing is a gem. Good value!

We picked this community because of, the proximity to family who can look in on my loved one. I would still recommend. Clearly many of the other residents I've met are quite content here, and I like what I can see

While my mother has a lovely apartment at this facility, there are many issues first being constant changeover of staff, including the people that do the cooking, and that run the facility. there are a few activities, and even those that are on the monthly calendar sometimes do not even occur. They used to go out to movies that has not happened in quite a while. People have actually left the facility because of the food and the length of time it takes to get your food. The food is the biggest issue and the activities or lack of is the second biggest issue for a facility that charges this amount they should have a very active group. The facility is also built on a piece of property that is not conducive to getting any outdoor exercise or enjoyment. There are no gardens. There is no place to walk, except for the sidewalk in front of the facility. I attended both the Easter dinner and the Fourth of July dinner for Easter. I finally left, they had to wait in line that was 30 people long

There are lots of outside noise that residents can hear inside their apartments. It is so loud that I would recommend you bring earplugs. There are dogs and ambulance sirens that can be disrupting to some residents. The community is clean, and the staff are friendly.

This facility is attractive and clean. Communication with the family has been minimal in Independent Living. I haven't eaten the food. The staff has been responsive the few times that I've reached out to them. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

They help with housekeeping and meals. The activities are pretty good. We picked this community because, we liked the physical appearance, the location is close to family, friendliness of staff, willingness to accomodate us, and the overall value/cost. In comparison to other places, it so much better. I would recommend to other families.

My mom is really enjoying it here at The Harmony Collection. Her only complaint is the hamburgers are dry, but other than that she said the food is good. They do have a good selection, if there is something she cannot eat they have an alternate menu. Staff are above and beyond friendly. She was sick right when she moved in but she is just now getting involved with the activities provided. She really likes the activities lady and they hit it off. I would absolutely recommend The Harmony Collection at Hanover - we are very happy with the experience.

The staff was friendly and my loved one was attended well. There was, however, a staffing problem with the kitchen. My problem is with the billing, which I'm still working on getting straightened out. I paid in full, but received a bill.
