My parents selected this community because it felt the most like a home environment, they felt welcomed , well received, there names were used frequently in communications, and they were most responsive to my parents. They were very supportive in the decision making process. They didn't push us into making decision quickly. They were clear about the move in process, clear about the costs, and worked with us. My parents are comfortable in their apartment. The food is the one area that needs improvement to accommodate for dietary restrictions. The staff team as a whole are good communicators and really know each resident and address them by name.... Read more

Look deeper than the outside. Horribly and consistently understaffed, especially in assisted living. Caregivers are loud, disrespectful (to families, residents and other staff); yelling at each other at front desk, demeaning to residents and seem to not want to be there. Med Attendants don't follow MARs/TARs, argue with residents that they are able to walk when they can't. One med Attendant refused to give my actively dying mother a prescribed PRN medication until hospice was notified and had to send an RN to remedy the situation. This same med Attendant refused to wear a mask when they were mandated in ALL Healthcare facilities statewide. Administration was notified of all violations but didn't seem to care other than an "I'm sorry". After 2 years, same person is not only still employed but trains new hires. When my mom was passing, she YELLED out "you're hurting me" when this same person was changing her. I had to request she not have ANY contact with my mother.

We toured this community and it really shouldn't be an open facility. It is terrible I would never recommend anyone here. We know someone here and it's horrible what people do to the elderly or human period.

I toured this community for my new home. We liked the menu and the clean environment that we were able to see at the time of the tour. The menu looked healthy with a good variety. They have activities for the residents. We would recommend this community for families to tour for a good home

Lancaster Village has been really quick to respond to any needs we have. Any time I have gone to the front desk they have been quick and courteous to assist me with anything that has been needed for my loved one.

The best thing about Lancaster Village & Assisted Living is that they have a great staff that has been there for a long time, are excited to help out, and do a great job at what they do. My brother has only been in there for a couple of weeks so we are still getting acquainted with things and our experience is somewhat limited, but thus far we have been very impressed.

It's a good place, and they do a good job at taking care of their people. Personally I am disappointed in the promptness or the participation. I don't find anything happening within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. The card games can be a little slow and leaves a little to be desired. The food is pretty good. They have pretty good service and they have five options.

So far we’d give them a five overall! The staff is almost perfect. There’s just one exception. They have a lot of activities. It’s a good sized facility that has a lot of caring staff and offers activities. Parking is adequate. The food is good.

They’ve been more than helpful getting my mother settled. I’d want other families to know that if you were in the area, this is the community that you’d want. I’d give them the highest score down the board. The staff is very friendly. The community is very clean.

We know the manager at the retirement part of it. We were looking for assisted living, and it looked like good care, but building itself looked a little closed in. It wasn't bad, just not exactly what we were looking for.

A Place for Mom has scored Lancaster Village 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
