Heron Pointe Senior Living

We really like our cottage and the large garage is a plus. Downside, independent living is a small percentage of residents, so most of emphasis is on assisted living residents.

My 100 year old mother moved into Heron Pointe in early 2024 - it has been a good experience from the beginning. Their staff are so kind & thoughtful. Their assisted living services have made Mom’s daily experience with her age challenges so much better. Her neighbors are friendly & supportive. The facility is comfortable and well taken care of. We highly recommend Heron Pointe.

I have enjoyed seeing the creative and fun activities that are offered at Heron Pointe. From the wonderful programs at holidays and special occasions to full range of weekly activities, I enjoy seeing how engaged the staff are in engaging and supporting the residents.

The staff is great. The care my mother receives is great as well. I appreciate Arcelia in running the activities, getting my mother my to exercise class as well as transporting my mother to appointments.

I live in a tower and it is very nice and quiet. There is always care staff here to take care of me so it gives me a lot of peace of mind. The quality of care is very good, the staff is very good at what they do and kind.

I took me a little bit to get used to living in senior housing but now I am very comfortable. I like when we go out together, shopping and to restaurants. My favorite meal from the kitchen is their chili dogs. The activities are a lot of fun.

I've been here for a long time, over two and a half years. I like my tower apartment. It has a good view out the windows and is very quiet. There is some turn over and staff leaving.. Heron Pointe does not pay for my animals medical bills. Aside from that I don't have any complaints. It's a good place to live.

It has been a good experience living here. I love to do bingo with [name removed]. I like to go on drives with the activity director. We go to a lot of outings, shopping and social events together. My favorite outing was a picnic at the covered bridge with my friends and the activates director [name removed]. I love to take pictures of nature when we go out.

I enjoy living in the tower. Its a nice size apartment with a good view. I like to do bingo and all the social events they provide. I enjoy the garden and all the vegetable growing over there. Its a nice place.

Its very enjoyable to live here. My favorite this about living here is the staff. They are all very sweet. The activates director is one of my favorite employees. She takes me to all my doctors appointments in the bus. I feel like she really cares about me and is always there when I need her. It fills my heart.

They help me when I need help. They do not deny me any services that I need. They keep track of how I am doing and improving. The activities are fun! We have so many options to choose from. My favorite activity is bingo.

I am very glad to be here. I don't have any problems. The care givers are 100%. I've lived in the cottages which are independent living and moved to assisted living. Both places are worth the money! My room is awesome, I live on the second floor.

Very friendly staff, the med techs are wonderful and are very experienced! There are many caregivers that are very helpful and caring. I have many friends here and enjoy the church service on Sunday.

My loved one has not complained about other food options. Activities is pretty good, and they participate in some of the activites, such as Monday night bingo. It's a less expsensive community, and from comparison it's a lot better then the more expensive communities. They were extremely helpful, and helped to connect us with VA services, which was a huge help in getting my loved one in the facility. They were a good resource.

The community was great to work with, and was very clean and inviting. The room sizes were small but there wasn't a lot of availability. We were invited to dinner but didn't get to go, She prefers home cooking. I would recommend this community

I really love Monmouth and I like living here. There are a lot of different opportunities.

My 89 year old mother passed in the care of Brookdale. They were compassionate and caring. They treated her with respect and dignity and helped her feel safe. She had Alzheimer's, was near blind, and near deaf. I visited often at all different times of day. I observed excellent service on all occasions. I received timely phone calls when there were any issues of concern in her care. I would highly recommend this facility for elders. Coordination of care with home health and hospice was seamless and I felt supported by the Brookdale staff throughout my mother's stay.

This community is always clean. They are prompt when my mom calls someone for help. This is a smaller community and nice. The food is hot and good she eats in her room a lot but they try to get her to go to the dining room. The staff is so kind, nice and patient. Housekeeping does a good job at keeping it clean. They will do her laundry 1x a week. They will try to engage here to do the daily activities. I would recommend this place.

My mother is doing very well since her move to Brookdale Monmouth. It is a lot less expensive than the community that she was at previously, so we can afford her caregiver to help her out. The meals provided there are good and everyone is very nice. It is a smaller facility and it has been a good experience.

I have no complaints my sisters stay so far at this community. Everyone seems to be very friendly especially all of the staff they have been great too her. She has no issues with the food they are serving and is participating in the delightful activities they have throughout the week for the residents. Its a great location that is very convenient for my family and I.
