What our family likes the most about the Country Meadows Village is the homey feeling that it is. The staff members that work there as well as the other residents have been great. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to others.

Very disappointed with service. Father in law developed infection requiring me to transport to doctor once a week for 8 weeks! He was filthy, hadn't showered in weeks. Then received phone message he is out of medication...for two days now? I called immediately and got the run around...no one could tell me what happened nor what was being done. I didn't get anywhere until said showing up in morning. Was then told by assistant person not sure what to do so get back to you in am. Meanwhile 4 days w/o meds.

The setting really stands out to me at this facility. The courtyard and grounds are inviting. I also value that it's not owned by some huge conglomerate. The front desk staff are so welcoming and helpful.

They are friendly, caring, and make things comfortable for the residents. It's extremely clean! The meals are very good according to my mom. What I have seen looks really good. All the Covid stuff is frustrating, but they have been fairly open throughout - so much better than some places. It's very expensive, but It's a very nice place, and I just want my mom to be happy. So it is a good value for us.

Country Meadows Village is wonderful. I love it and am very happy here. They have unique cottages available. I always tell people they have to come and see this place. It's like a cruise ship and just beautiful. In my day-to-day, I have limited interaction with the staff, but everybody I've met has done a good job. They pay attention, and with Covid, they're concerned about our wellbeing and make sure people wear their masks. I'm very impressed with the whole place. The lady who runs it has been here ten years, the head of maintenance 7-8 years, and head of housekeeping about 14 years. So there's not a lot of turnover, which is nice. The only place we have much turnover is with the kitchen staff, just because of people jockeying around for jobs during the pandemic. But the ones that are here at any given time do a good job as well.

January 13, 2022Thank you so much for your kind words .. I'm so happy you enjoyed your tour .. It was my pleasure to show you around our beautiful community.
We have had a very very good experience with Country Meadows so far. The community is extremely clean, the staff members are excellent and know our loved one by name. They are also so friendly to visiting families. The meals and dining services and even the activities are wonderful, they have a lot of excellent stuff there for the residents to do.

Response from Country Meadows Village
January 13, 2022Thank you so much for your review. It is a wonderful place for our residents to call home. We are always striving to be the very best we can be in these unprecedented times.
They are completely unresponsive to any needs, except for their favorites. Due to us having the service animal, they allowed another resident to call me a murder because this resident has a relative that is allergic to dogs. There were no apologies by the community. 300 people are at the mercy of this individual resident. It took them forever to do anything about the ice storm. The sprinkler system doesn't work and it makes in impossible to leave through the one door. The manager they have here is one cold fish. I have only seen her smile one time, and most of the times she is just rude. Under the current Oregon law I'm allowed to be here and they are charging me to stay here due to me being a full time caregiver.

Response from Country Meadows Village
April 23, 2021I appreciate your comments and concerns and would very much like to discuss them with you. We take pride in our services at Country Meadows but there is always room for improvement. In regards to the ice storm, I am extremely proud of our employees and the way they responded. The Chef made sure the residents were served hot meals, the receptionists kept hot coffee going and provided extra blankets and the staff constantly made checks of the residents 24 hours a day. I would be very happy to discuss your other concerns at your convenience.
My ratings are prior to the pandemic. I would recommend this community for your loved ones. In fact we've already recommended the community to friends. They have a wonderful chef, they clean our places and take care of the community. Country Meadows have tried to move entertainment options and activities around due to the pandemic. They have tried really hard to help make it a great experience for us during this difficult time.

We chose Country Meadows Village because my mother liked the general architecture, the friendly feel, and the Victorian look. They are remodeling the inside so we do not know what it will look like yet. She likes the size of her apartment, no complaints about that. She also really likes the food, they do have a chef on site who prepares the meals. I did like that pre-covid we were able to eat in the dining room with her. They also have a salon on site and someone who comes in for foot care, so that has been a plus. I would recommend this facility before covid.

MY REASON FOR SMILES IS C.M.V. We are living in a one bath two room apt. My wife is over joyed with living here, The people are loving and kind. We have a lot of friends now so it isn't boring. Since we have been here we see a lot of new people. It is like a restaurant we have tables to eat at. Three large rooms with people and tables. Coffee each meal. A large produce wagon for fresh fruit or cottage cheese and apple sauce. Mellon and Salads. We never go hungry here. Each unit has a patio porch to sun on. TV and Kitchen in case you want to cook. Most people say this is the best of the rest I lived in Woodburn when the Village was built. I always said, if I need a place to live it will be at the Country Meadows Village. Thanks for all that is so important to each of us. The Help is very good. Food Servers and Room cleaners.

We are a friendly, active community. We encourage, but don’t require participation. Our monthly calendar keeps us aware of all activities within the Village and those we have transportation to away from the Village. Transportation is free. We have weekly short shopping trips as well as weekly longer anywhere in Woodburn shopping trips. On Tuesday morning a medical tip to Salem, afternoon medical trips to Tualatin and all day trips in Woodburn. Also Dial a Ride is available. Our food is good – there are several choices. Cleanliness is important to the Village for apartments and common areas.

I’ve lived at CM for about 4 years. It’s a friendly, clean and safe environment. There is always something to do – bus trips, musical entertainment, arts and crafts, and card games. Besides my comfortable apartment my favorite thing is being able to dine at any time during the day. The dining room is airy and spacious with a panoramic view. I can choose a daily special or something off a varied seasonal menu. Along with a salad bar and dessert cart, what more can you ask for?

A Place for Mom has scored Country Meadows Village 7.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
