Overall, my mom really likes her stay there. She has had a few complaints but mostly about laundry and timing of her medication. She seems to really like the place, especially the people that also live there and she enjoys the food. She likes being able to get out every week or so to Walmart or a restaurant. It's been excellent for my brother! He can smoke outside & drink coffee; this is perfect for him & what we looked for. Also the staff is friendly and he has 24 hour nursing care; they bring his meds daily. The building itself has a pleasant ambiance. A friend from church checked out Laketown Village and brought her Mother there. We are very thankful to God & A Place for Mom for helping us find it.

I am writing to bring some concerns to your attention regarding the care . - **High employee turnover**: There seems to be frequent changes in staff, which affects the consistency of care. - **Time management**: It often takes too long for the staff to respond to the call button. - **Laundry handling**: Clothes are often left in baskets, making it difficult to know which are clean and which are dirty. - **Cleaning**: The bathroom is frequently left unclean, and overall cleanliness is inconsistent. - **Staff behavior**: Some staff members talk down to residents and their families, which is concerning. On a positive note, I am grateful for the excellent activities provided for the residents, which are truly beneficial. Not bad but very expensive for not great food and not enough staff. Also she moved in 3 months ago and her TV just got hooked up Wednesday. The cable is not working and when we went there yesterday her remote was gone. We picked this community because they had availability and she had stayed before.

I would recommend bringing your loved ones to Laketown Village. They seem to care a lot about the people they serve. The reason I gave it four out of five starts is my sister had trouble getting my mom's bathing schedule straight in the beginning. She wasn't getting baths regularly and they kept messing up the schedule. But since getting that resolved, it has been a good place.

Our experience has been very positive. The Director and Sales Director was very engaging and knew all the residents and staff by first name during the tour, and this stood out to us. The community is on the smaller side and it felt like it would be the right environment for our loved one. There are approximately 100 residents and the community has two floors. This is a nice secure community and they have a nice courtyard for the residents to utilize. There are three meals a day served and there are choices to choose from. The dining room socialization has been and allowed our loved one to feel comfortable in the community and have good socialization with the other residents. The staff do a good job in getting residents out of their rooms and participating in the activities offered. After the storm last year the community was quick to make the repairs to the community. Plus the community was able to work with their sister communities and getting the residents to safer communities during the renovations.

When the community placed my loved one in the memory care area it was very small and very enclosed and inclusive. The residents in the area weren't able to eat with the other residents. They need more nursing and aides to add to the staff to attend to the residents. The staff wouldn't take the time to answer the door and when they did it would be 20 minutes to see my loved one. While waiting I could see the staff yelling at each other. The manger was great to work with.

I'm very pleased we found Laketown Village. They have a great staff. Everybody is very friendly. The facility is clean - I always see people cleaning. The nurses are kind of hidden away, so I have to track them down, and it's hard for me to tell how well they're doing with limited report from my loved one. Organizational and administrative aspects are a little bit all over the place, and I feel the administrators are not communicating as well as they could be. But the marketing director I give 5+ stars. She is just excellent. She's still a great point of contact and answers my questions even though we're well past the admissions process. Overall I think they run a nice place. I really like the building. It has wonderful, wide hallways. The concierge setup is really good at the front desk. The resident rooms are very nice. I love the dining room. It's nice and big with high ceilings and is very attractive and very accessible. As far as I know the food is good, and the residents can choose what they want at each meal. Having that choice is nice. They post a monthly and weekly activities calendar for those who want to participate. The cost is more than we were expecting, but I think it's a good value overall.

In comparison to a lot of other assisted facilities, I'd give them a gold star, just from the ones I happened to visit. The sales person was amazing, the people there are really kind and have been nothing but nice to my mom. Every place has their things they need to work on, but I appreciate that they listen and try to work on things instead of just brushing it off. They make sure there's church services anywhere from nondenominational to catholic. When they can, they offer outings; they've gone to nice restaurants and they've taken them grocery shopping. They had a wonderful talent show they did last month with all the residents, and that was fun. They have lots of crafts to keep busy, mind games, and socials where they have movies. They have a busy activity group and I would recommend Laketown Village to others!

This facility is very good. Mom really liked it from the very start when we toured it. Housekeeping is once a week and they do a very good job. Mom is very self sufficient and independent, but most of the other residents are not. That's sometimes a challenge for her as she feels she's more active than others and doesn't have the opportunity to interact with other active residents as much as she'd like. Communication with the family is very good. Staff is very nice. One suggestion I have would be more of a variety for activities. They offer several, but seem to be the same things. I would recommend them to friends and family.

If I had to do it over again, I would not choose this entity. They are understaffed, and they can't really provide up-to par services on a daily basis.

It's better than them being at home by themselves. They offer med management. This location has 2 floors. They allow pets. They offer arts and crafts, bingo, game nights and movie nights as far as activities to name a few. They offer transportation to their doctors on certain days. They take the residents to shop of go out to eat. The staff call or email regarding any concerns with my loved one. They work to solve any issues we have. They also have mass and bible classes once a week. They also provide exercise programs. Very caring people work there.

the staffing retention at this community was one of their biggest issues. cleanliness was also an issue as well. i do believe they tried their best with the residents who were mobile; but i found that they could not handle my loved ones level of care, despite their claims that they could. if you or your loved one is looking for an assisted living apartment at this community, it may be a good place. if you or your loved one needs memory care or advanced levels of care, i would not recommend based on my experience.
