The residents I've interacted with are very friendly and seem happy. When I interact with the staff they are very friendly. My loved one says they aren't very responsive to her, but that might just be her expectations. Apparently they could really improve on the food. I ate there once with her and I agree. My loved one says it's terrible and apparently other residents feel the same. The hallways, hall bathrooms, and elevators could be cleaned up / refreshed and have a better appearance. Not sure what they can do about this, but there is a resident who must smoke so heavily that his pungent cigarette odor lingers in the hallways and elevator for a very long time. It's not your usual cigarette smoke - it is a high saturation like I've never experienced.

I have no issues with the staff at Lake Morton Plaza, they all seem nice and helpful. Communication with the family is okay, sometimes it takes awhile for them to get back to me. They do provide light housekeeping. The meals seem to be good from what I've seen. Moving in was fairly easy. The rooms are very big and nice. It's a full one bedroom apartment. I would recommend Lake Morton Plaza to others.

I’m a 55 year old attorney who has cerebral palsy. I have a spacious two bedroom apartment that really feels like a small house plus the amenities of assistance when I need it! After two years of living here, I can honestly say there is no better place for me. I have lived in a variety of independent and assisted living facilities and this is by far the best one. The staff goes above and beyond to meet the individual needs of each resident.

The Plaza was recently purchased by another company and there have been menu changes. For the 1st several weeks meals were served in Styrofoam containers. Apparently there was enough of an uproar they are again using glass products for meals. The weekend breakfast menu only has scrambled eggs as an egg option. No fried or over easy which we are not happy with. The cleaning staff does a great job in the individual apartments as well as the common areas. The maintenance crew goes above and beyond. The Plaza is centrally located and is 2 blocks from the bus stop. The transportation policy is a longer distance for Dr Appts and such than most other locations offer. The Lakeland VA as well as Watsons Clinics and Lakeland Hospital are all within 10 miles of the facility. Overall, we are very happy with this location.

Although Lake Morton Plaza is a smaller facility, the staff and other residents are so welcoming that you feel right at home. The rooms are a great price for the size, and some even come with a beautiful lake view.

I toured this facility and it was really good, it was our second choice. One thing I did notice is that there wasn't a lot of open space or common areas, only one activity room and one dining room.

Overall my experience with this community was not good. We were not told that one resident rents the room, and the other rents the living room and they share a bathroom/kitchen. The facility was not clean and the staff was not helpful. The facility looks very dull and not a homey feeling. This community needs major improvements. However the staff at the door are very friendly.

It was a very old facility, and seemed very old fashioned. They did have huge apartments with big kitchens.

Getting settled and learning the routine was a little hard on all of us. Getting Mom to meals was challenging ( she had to remember to call on time to have someone come get her). Also, some things are not consistent in their routine-like picking up her trash. But overall, she loves it. She likes the food and always says everyone is very friendly and polite to her. And she especially loves her view of Lake Morton from the 8th floor!

They are in the process of fixing things at the time but the place is very nasty and is still very dirty. The hallways are not vacuumed and we had to have corporate come up. There is a trail of something from the trash area and has been spilled and not cleaned up. They just in the last few days cleaned the hallway and mopped where the mess was. They pulled everything out and cleaned the trash area. When talking to another residents here we felt that they may have bugs and I am being eaten up by bugs. When I told them I felt like there was lice here we were told that they had issues previously. We try to keep it as clean as we can and we are moving at this point. They are not licensed for independent and the assisted living people are scattered everywhere through the building and I do not think that is a good idea. I do not recommend this community. The administration staff are rude and do not deserve the job. The food is also not good and I feel

I would recommend you do your research on all the communities you are looking at. We did have some issues that we had to sort out with the community. The administrative staff is probably the biggest problem. It seems that it can be difficult to get paperwork from them and get corporation from them as well. The front desk and healthcare team are good to work with. I believe the healthcare team is overstretched.

we toured Lake Morton Plaza and thought it was nice. the people were really nice there, this was our second option. we chose another community because of the cost difference between the two.

We had some glitches getting settled in, but things are improving. We chose this facility mainly due to the size of the apartments, they were more spacious. The value for the money played a large role as well. The nursing staff itself is great, but I think maybe the response time could be improved. I would recommend them to others who are looking.

They need to make improvements with the cleanliness and the organization in regards to hiring kitchen staff. The food is absolutely disgusting, the meats are tough and the food is cold.

I'm so tired of not being able to have good food to eat...I need a refrigerator mine is rusted and doesn't do it's job..I've been promised one....when......there's a big double standards here.....it's never constiton
