Lake Gibson Village

This facility is always running at top notch I have never experienced anything but 100% from all the workers and staff. We picked this community because of the value for cost. It has a much nicer atmosphere. It's large! Their activities are always interesting and rotating. They have lots of on site options for doctors, podiatrist, and dentistry along with psychiatric help for dementia patients. They are free to roam around the large three story building and also go outside. Large covered veranda in the front and a lake with a dock in the back of the property. They give them boat rides twice a month if they want. Apartments are good sized, clean and updated. Staff knows all the residents by name. They bring in entertainment and have festivals. They have an old school stage with stadium seating for shows and movie night. They do Sunday worship services. They also have a hair salon and physical therapy on site. They also have a beautiful in ground pool for residents and their guests. One price pays for it all and makes it very easy for me to take care of my mom.

The staff is friendly and helpful but after my Mom was there for 12 months they hiked her rent over 6%. They only give a 30 day notice with a letter mailed through the Post office for these rent increase. The letter was written exactly 30 days prior then mailed. By the time I got the letter it was a two week notice. Other than their rent increases and short notice it's been a good place for my Mom. If they continue with the high increases we will need to find another place or come up with another plan.

The food has been just okay. When she first started living there it was much better. I believe they have been through a few different chefs.

They work very hard to assure everything Runs smoothly. Staff is always happy to assist all residents! They do a great job. We've had several chefs . We Now have a good chef and she is working very hard to improve meals. Now I would rate it a 5. She is doing a wonderful job and we are very blessed to have her. After visiting quite aby few facilities, I found this to be a good value for the money.

My loved one is in the memory care part of the facility. The staff is very loving. They go above and beyond what is required to make sure she is well cared for. The director keeps in close contact with the family. Whenever my loved one needs anything extra, she is on top of it and gets the services needed as soon as possible. For example, the staff noticed my loved one needs glasses, so an optometrist will be called to the site to give an exam. Also, physical therapy sessions are held right in the facility.

Lake Gibson Village community beautiful place with wonderful people who take such great care of my mom. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

This place is perfect for mom. She is happy and well cared for. When it comes to the activities they have boat rides, picnics outside, and exercise classes,. They also take the residents out in groups to a car show, family night, arts & crafts, and dancing.

Communication should be another one to rate. I sent a email to the person in charge and she never got back to me. We like the activities

Lake Gibson Village is an excellent choice for your loved ones. The staff is extremely caring and attentive, beautiful building and grounds, very modern and some of the very best food around. Definitely better than your typical retirement community for sure… I would highly recommend to anyone looking for the very best care in Polk County to try Lake Gibson Village.

We moved my mother in law to Lake Gibson Village 3 years ago. She started out as Independent living, went into assisted living then memory care. The good news from independent to assisted she didn’t have to move apartments which was great for her because having dementia. She began falling more with more memory loss so she transferred downstairs to memory care. I can honestly say from the beginning to the end of her stay EVERYONE who works at Lake Gibson was extremely kind and accommodating to her. They truly love their residents!! My mother in law recently passed and the director [name removed] for memory care along with her staff went out of their way to accommodate us all. We can’t say enough great things about this community ??????

Gorgeous community with caring, amazing staff

Beautiful facility. They have so much to offer their residents from boating to swimming to playing the piano to theatrical entertainment. They are like no other assisted living that I have ever seen. I would highly recommend.

Lake Gibson Village is a beautiful community. They host several events a month, they are open to networking with local professionals (resources for their residents), and their hospitality is beyond measure. I appreciate their restaurant style dining, and their food is extremely tasty. Their staff is always super helpful and and friendly. My clients that have resided at Lake Gibson Village have always felt happy and at home.

Lake Gibson Village is an amazing community, with caring, and loving employees, who not only care about their residents, but they genuinely operate with dignity and integrity. Caring for their residents is their top priority, and the residents are not just a number, but they are involved in every aspect of the community. Lake Gibson Village is an amazing, beautiful, retirement like resort, where the aging residents can continue to age in a caring respectful atmosphere.

Lake Gibson has knowledgeable staff that take great care of the residents. Activities are always going on for residents to participate in!

The community is energetic and full of life. The building, grounds and apartments are beautiful! I say RUN, don't walk to see what you could be part of at Lake Gibson Village!

We chose Lake Gibson Village for my grandmother because of the responsiveness and friendliness of the staff and the beautiful private apartments. She has been there for a year now, and they continue to be adaptive to her needs. It makes us feel good to know she is somewhere safe, comfortable, and in a beautiful, peaceful setting.
