This has been going on for years. A resident coughs then spits out onto the carpet and doorways of residents globs of bloody mucus, while managers hands out HUD Rights And Responsibilities pamphlets which state: (residents) have the right to safe and sanitary housing. Really? The residents are seniors, some with underlying health issues. Why is this cougher allowed to continue jeopardizing others and their caregivers, and families with his obvious sickness?

Embrace Living (Immanuel) has the worst management structure all the way from [name removed] down to [name removed]These people: 1) Despise senior citizens. 2) They only show up to work in the office whenever they feel like it. 3) Work part time hours. 4) Are not their when the residents need them. 5) Will not do a thing, even though police reports are filed. 6) [name removed] will run like the plague if you try to approach. 7) Will not care if a resident has been assaulted by unit [removed], or anyone else. 8) Has not done a thing about the man who spits up blood all over the floors in the building. 9) Absolutely nothing has been done about the noise during the night coming from unit [removed]. 10) Although my doctor has given Immanuel a medical reason for me to switch to a different unit, Immanuel refuses to address this problem. 11) When the manager decides she wants to lollygag (which happens very often), none of the residents are ever notified that she is going to be away, and we never know for how long. 12) The m

Advice to you ... apply elsewhere! Here at Immanuel Residences, it is managed very poorly. The manager, [name removed], does not address the issues of the residents. I have had ongoing issues, reported them to [name removed], and what did she do? She made things worse for me. When I applied here for a place to live, [name removed] put on a smile and fake attitude to get me to sign a lease. It was a very short time after I moved in, then I started to find out who the real [name removed} was. Not one tenant had anything nice to say about [name removed]. Everyone complains about how everything is mismanaged. I hear horror stories about what a disaster the recent building remodel was. The fire alarm goes off about once a month. We had a fire on the 4th floor. Their is no evacuation plan set for when fires occur. Oh, and when I go to see [name removed] to talk to her, she is either at lunch or went home early, which happens frequently. These events are just a tip of the ice berg, but the most important to share with the public.

A Place for Mom has scored Immanuel Residences 2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
