Great place with wonderful staff

Hi, I recently had to relocate my mom to an assisted living facility and after much research we decided on Holland Farms. This is a beautiful building and the staff at the front desk were so welcoming right when we walked in. My mom has been here for a while now and she’s made friends and loves the activities that are fun and keep her busy. I couldn’t be more pleased with our decision to move her here. My mom is so important to me and I feel safe knowing she’s in a good place with caring people to look after her when I’m not around. Thank you so much Holland Farms.... Read more

In-law's experience at Holland Farms

My Mother-in-law and Father-in-law lived at Holland Farms for over a year until they needed higher level of care than what they offer. my Mother-in-law loved the activities- her favorites were UNO and the happy hours hosted at the building. She loved to socialize, and would often play cards at the front desk with [name removed], the front desk administrator. My Father-in-Law was quiet and enjoyed time in his room. They both enjoyed the food- especially at breakfast! It was their favorite meal they enjoyed. They both always thought the staff were caring and patient. They both enjoyed living at Holland Farms!

Holland Farms Review

The director, [name removed], is great and so are the nurses and the activity director. The younger people who work there are decent, but they are young and not sure they really know how to converse with older people. Dad enjoyed being teased by staff at [facility name removed] and I really haven't witnessed that at Holland. They are polite. I think its a matter of experience. I really like Holland Farm...if I ever need to end up somewhere. I would choose it.

Helpful, Kind, and Caring- Holland Farms

We were looking for a space where my Grandma would be able to maintain her feeling of independence while being able to make friends her own age. She lost her best friend last summer, and she has been struggling with the adjustment. We wanted to see her make connections and friendships again. Holland Farms from the first time we came into the building, was warm. The receptionist was kind and helped to break the ice and relieve some of her nerves. The girls we met with did a fantastic job listening and answering her questions. They took time to find out about her as a person. The community is beautiful and they have so much happening in activities that she has been keeping busy! She doesn’t need a ton of care right now, but I know that when she does, she will be well taken care of! Staff is polite and always greets us when we come in to visit! I am glad Grandma made the move, and we can not recommend Holland Farms enough!

Holland Farms is "Home" for my Mom

Holland Farms has been a positive experience for us as my Mom fell and broke her hip and with her limited vision, it was clear that she now would require low leveled Assisted Living, which we have found here at Holland Farms. The staff has empathy and compassion as our Mom began the move in process. Things were much different for her as she transitioned from Independent to an Assisted living. They were there to help us with all of this! From the first visit to today, staff are caring and friendly. It's bright and cheerful and residents have many activities to participate in. This now is our Mom's new "Home". It is safe, clean, and comfortable for her and for us!

Our Experience at Holland Farms

The staff at Holland Farms have been friendly, helpful, and caring. Common spaces are clean, though Independent Housekeeping needs improvement. My father is safe and happy here- and that makes his family happy as well!

My loved ones had a poor experience

I would not recommend Holland Farms to anyone looking for themselves or their loved ones. My family had a poor experience. My loved ones (and many others) were without Central AC for over two weeks. No solutions were offered until I insisted on a window AC unit, and even then, it was still uncomfortable.

Beware of Red Flags!

The turnover rate at Holland Farms is alarming. Holland Farms has had multiple directors in two years. These terminations have been abrupt and without notice to residents. The facility looks beautiful, however, it is under constant repair. A leaking shower on the third floor caused walls and flooring to be taken down to studs -- for months! Broken central AC units and heaters on the second floor caused distress for many residents. Leadership and staff's first response was denial and an accusation that residents "don't know how to work the thermostat." There is no urgency with building repairs and a notable lack of transparency among staff. Rent increases continue while guaranteed amenities are not met. Beware of the red flags! I'm so glad we moved our loved ones out of Holland Farms. It was a stressful two years, but we are grateful there are better options for carefree and assisted living than Holland Farms.

Friendly Place to stay

The activities lately have been going pretty well. We have activities like bingo, and they take us places and do a lot of different things with us to keep us busy and social in the community. This is a nice community and they just need improvement in the food service. They just hired a chef so this may be improving soon just waiting for the changes.

A Place for Mom has scored Holland Farms 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
