November 4, 2024Food is such a huge part of the quality care and effort we put into making Edencrest a great community, so reading this review really doesn’t align with what our goals are for residents. We will take this matter to our dedicated Culinary Team to gain a better understanding.
Forced to take meds and put on wander guard device. The washing machines had 6 inch wide greasy ring around the top of the tub. Most staff members were friendly and pleasant but a few were a bit cold and overly forceful. Care providers were mostly decent but a few didn't understand that the patient has a right to refuse medication. Meals were very elementary school like with an over abundance of pork meals and lunch meat sandwiches. The activities were very simple but included a lot of live music which saves the category. Way too expensive for the value received, I cooked 95% of our meals, we had to take our laundry to Laundromat as I had 7 new shirts permanently stained by the staff's laundering skills.

When Mom was there, the staff was awesome. They did a fantastic job. The staffing has changed since then, so I can't say now. But I would say to check them out. It seemed like she was home. Her dementia escalated quickly, so she was only there for a month, but [names removed] were like family.

Edencrest at The Legacy gets 5 stars in all categories. What sticks out the most about the facility is the caring staff who communicate with the residents and their families. I have many friends and extended family members who are here. I would highly recommend them.

We chose Edencrest at The Legacy because the director made us a part of the family rate second that we walked in for our tour. All of the residents and staff were very friendly and welcoming. When we walked into the memory care unit there was a lady who was asking some questions and she just included her in our tour and she was talking to us both and answering all of our questions. You just get a good feeling the second you walk in. During the tour you could tell money was not what motivating her, she really truly cared. We would definitely recommend The Legacy to others looking.

We chose Edencrest because my father wanted a smaller facility to be in. We had one of the smallest apartment sizes that they offer, but they have various sizes to choose from. With covid everything was limited but overall I would recommend to others looking
