I cannot speak highly enough of Laurel Grove. From the moment I visited, I felt welcomed by the staff. The environment here is beautiful, clean, and truly feels like home. What stands out most is the sense of community – the residents are active, engaged, and treated with the utmost respect. The staff works to ensure that each resident's needs are met, fostering a supportive and friendly atmosphere. The facilities are well-maintained, and there are plenty of amenities that make life easier and more enjoyable. The food served is better than many of the restaurants we have tried! It's such a comfort knowing that mom is in a place where her independence is respected, yet help is available when needed. I am quite satisfied with my home here. It is not overcrowded and carries a pleasant atmosphere. Management is very friendly and eager to help. It’s like one big family. Laurel Grove is a beautiful place and the grounds are quite lovely.

Food is awful and the facility has tried several cooks. Food is repeated used over and over for different dishes. There are no off campus activities. It would be nice to have a change is scenery to allow residents to see a world outside of the day to day. The on-site activities are monotonous and repetitive.

Response from Holiday Laurel Grove
June 25, 2024John, thank you for sharing your feedback. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, feel free to email me at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com.
The facility is nice. Mom really likes her room. She is disappointed with the new management. And is hoping it gets better soon. They have had a lot of staff turn over in the last year. And they activities person has changed at least twice. They currently have very few activities. The dining room offers 2-3 choices for meals. But often run out. My mom has strict dietary needs and if they run out of the things she can eat, she doesn't eat. ( luckily, her small kitchen in her room has food if she needs it). Overall, I think she is happy, but there are few things that bother her

I was referred to Laurel Grove through a friend. I looked up the facility on line and decided to schedule a tour. Immediately, after hitting the submit button I was receiving a phone call back. I was very surprised ??, at the quick response. The conversation was very professional, and customer service driven. I was inspired by the high standards set forth by this facility that is vested into the residents care and engagement.

I am very happy, everyone is helpful. It's really a friendly place. They have a physical therapy department, so I don't have to leave the building. The food has improved. The activities is really good. The value for money is good I picked this community because of the location, and it was a familiar area.

The activities at Holiday Laurel Grove are fantastic we would give them higher then 5 stars. They have regular activities all throughout the day, all week, and even on weekends. They have exercise classes and group exercise classes. They had a fake balloon that the residents can put between their legs and beat on like a drum to build up arm strength. They have bingo a couple times a week and board games. They have this thing called "funny money" which you can win playing games and you can save it up so about once a month they have this shop where the residents can spend their funny money. Plenty of opportunities for residents to socialize with one another and stay active. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.

Holiday Laurel Grove is really a family styled community - the staff members are extremely friendly as well as the other residents living here. The management is just outstanding. They have some remodeling going on and once that is done everything is going to be extremely nice. The activities are outstanding - we have the best activities coordinator ever. The meals are very good.

This was actually my second pick. The satff and residents seemed to be happy. It was a nice facility. It was smaller and did not offer gradual care. They did not offer a variety of activities for my loved one.
My loved one really likes this community the staff are very friendly and helpful with my loved one. My loved one enjoys activities here and there is always something for the residents to do to stay busy in this community. Overall for what is paid it is decent and average community for your loved one.

I toured Laurel Grove and really liked it, it's almost as good as where I live now. I chose another community because I had the opportunity to meet with several staff members and residents; and the people there really made a difference.
We entire staff from Autumn In Admissions to housekeeping has been great. My mother and entire family was against my mother living my house to move into Laurel Grove. Once they visited the community, met some of the people living here and seeing hope well maintain the community is kept all of them had a dramatic change. My mother's mobility and spirit has improved since moving into Laurel Grove. Be a part of a community and developing new friends has been a huge plus for her. I'm eternally for finding Laurel Grove and the support they provide my mother.

[Name removed] was very helpful. The community was older and the price for a 2 bedroom cottage was out of our price range.

Everybody has been super, super nice and cooperative. The director knows my loved one by name, and they have hundreds of residents living there. Everyone has just been super helpful. Everything is kept really clean. They have a lot of activities posted. The food is the one downside. Every single day for a week, they gave potato chips as a side. From what I understand their chef quit, so they were kind of winging it. And they opted for a cold sandwich for dinner quite a bit. I think they're looking to replace the chef, it just hasn't happened yet.

We chose Laurel Grove because they get 3 meals a day and a 2 snack sand they check in on her which gives me peace of mind. The apartment sizes here are a little on the smaller side. It is just a great place and I would recommend it.

If you are looking for independent living for your loved one, this would be a good place. The staff was great. My loved one's room was a nice size for the money. The food was very good and I was able to eat with my loved one on occasion. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you need memory care, or assisted living.

A Place for Mom has scored Holiday Laurel Grove 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
