The staff is very friendly and easy to work with. It's very clean and they keep up with any repairs. Communication on how my loved one is doing has been almost nonexistent. I have yet to hear from the doctor on visits that were made or tests they did. I had to ask specific questions to get information. We went there because it was a facility that would take Medicaid as soon as it went through. It's okay, but I don't think it's a place I would have chosen in the first place. I think the best referral ever is the one that I received from the residents themselves. During my tour, I was told several times by residents how they loved being at Hairitage Avonlea. The rooms were spacious, there were lots of activities and the rapport between the stuff and the residents was wonderful. The activity calendar was full of fun, educational, and physically engaging things to do. There is an overall sense of joy in their community.
