Initially my parents were very sad to leave their home, but their health and limited mobility made it too difficult to live on their own. Since moving to Santa Marta their health has improved and so has their quality of life. The staff has been very helpful and has gone above and beyond to accommodate them. The tour was nice and the staff members were welcoming. They did answer the questions we needed to know. The community was clean. They had a nice responsive time for needing We did not see a menu, This is a community that families might want to tour and the room are shared with other residents . This is a high value community ,but we would recommend the community to other families for the care of a loved one.

My parents were resident there for many years. Their experience in Independent Living was good but when they needed additional care and transitioned to Assisted Living and then on Skilled Nursing it was a nightmare. All resources are devoted to the facade of this place. It really caters to the Independent Living Residents and the Marketing plan that lures people in. Once you are in need of help you better have an advocate. The guidelines to care are misleading and the coverups are well planned. It looks like a beautiful place but their bottom line is money!! The administrators are difficult to work with and always have an excuse. The employees are treated poorly and given little resources to work with. There is little or no supervision in the skilled nuring areas. Beware of this place especialy if your loved one cannot advocate for themselves. I am ashamed that they hide behind the curtain of a Catholic facility. It is certainly misleading as their mission is MONEY, Catering to the Wealthy, and Excluding those who may need help.

independent living is fine. don't do the buy in plan, there is no guarantee of anything past independent living, despite their website claims. don't expect any help in assisted living, and don't get sick, if you become too much trouble with health issues they throw you out.
