January 10, 2024We sincerely appreciate your positive feedback and are delighted to hear that your family values the dedicated focus on memory care at Greenridge Place. Our commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for residents, including the continuous layout to prevent dead ends for wanderers, is a top priority. We understand the importance of providing peace of mind to both residents and their families, and we're thrilled that our efforts in observation and layout have made a positive impact. Thank you for choosing Greenridge Place, and we look forward to continuing to meet and exceed your expectations in providing exceptional memory care services.
The staff is much more attentive to the needs of the residents than I have seen at other facilities. The therapy staff are also friendly and helpful and visit those requesting therapy frequently. Also, the medical provider ([name removed]) gives me updates on patient status every two weeks. They keep track of how much the residents are eating so they keep them healthy. They also make daily exercise almost mandatory, which I like. The only down side seems to be the same everywhere I went. Most residents in memory care cannot carry a conversation, so not a lot of social interaction. Such is memory care.

Response from Greenridge Place
April 11, 2023Scott, thank you for your 5-star review. At Greenridge Place our mission is to protect, engage and love people living with memory loss. It sounds like you have found that at our community. I look forward to sharing your feedback with our team. Thank you!
Our family had an in person tour and we were very impressed with the tour experience but they were unsure if they were going to be able to accept our loved one and we never go a definitive answer from them
My loved one likes the food, and is pretty happy. We picked this place because we liked the community, and it seemed like a good place for our loved one.

There has been a lot of staffing changes, which has been a lot of turnover, and not very consistent.

Our experience was not very good at all and the main reason being the lack of staffing at the facility. We felt that they were very understaffed for what they were offering and therefore could not follow through with what they said they could provide. They required our mother-in-law to stay there for a minimum of 10 hours and would only get breaks when we would substitute. We were paying for something that we were not getting which to else just defeated the purpose of having our loved one at a community.

I would recommend the community based on the tour. I was impressed about the community on the tour. The community has several different activities for the residents. They even will take residents out into the community before and after COVID.

The staff at Greenridge are caring, kind and competent. The place is very clean and thoughtfully set up for the population it serves. Greenridge has done an amazing job navigating activities and communication between residents and loved ones while conscientously following safety precautions during the pandemic. Greenridge has proven to give care to the residents as if they are their loved ones.

Good place, seems like caregivers were involved. Liked that they have a staff/caregiver meeting every morning to update on resident's activity. Regular resident' checks documented. Motion detector in all rooms.

I recently met the director [name removed] who toured us around the facility and let me tell you!! She was the first director on several tours we've been on that knew the residents names and stopped to talk to them! We were impressed my the food and the engagement. Unfortunately my dad passed before we could move in but I would highly recommend this facility based on my initial interaction. [name removed] even called with her condolences and we will be referring families to Greenridge!

There is a great lack of leadership. Many meetings of staff but no changes. The Director may meet the families and patients as they come in but seldom is seen after that. If a problem is brought to her attention, you get lip service only. I have seen many good employees leave because they are treated the same as those, who do minimal jobs. The lpn is the glue that holds this place together. Has never asked for peoples praise but really cares for the patients. Also the constant contact with the families. A few aides go on and beyond their duties to meet the growing needs of the patients. Some aides seem to have a lack of training on how to work with people in memory care. Like talking to them before grabbing them to move them or grabbing the arms without putting their arms under the patient as they move them. Many that work hard get no recognition from the Director only if there are problems. Several family members have written positive comments about the aides but they are never notified.

I don't normally write reviews, but was encouraged to by the lpn, asking I say something nice about him. Unfortunately, there's not much to say about him, but as for the other managers I could continually rave! There are several managers who recently worked on the 4th of July. This isn't the first time I've seen them there on holidays. The director was serving food and cleaning up. She is absolutely amazing and is genuinely a great person. She doesn't not just tell us what we want to hear. She takes the time no matter what to listen and fix issues. She's there at all times of the day helping out. There are a few others that stand out, the nursing assistants and the office manager. They are sweet and hard working. They answer our questions and go above and beyond. The building is fairly clean, although could be a bit better. Food is homestyle and simple which my granddad loves. Pricing is good. Others offered us cheaper rates, but you get what you pay for! Overall I would highly recommend Greenridge place!

My parent has lived here for years and I have seen many changes both good and bad. The care is dependent on the individual(s) that are working that day. There are a handful of employees that are truly invested and they are solely responsible for the positives of this facility. Unfortunately I cannot say that management is equally invested. When I visit, I am always greeted warmly by receptionists that ask about my welfare and the welfare of my parent. They also try to honor requests and actually follow up. They are the embodiment of a first impression. The irony is, while in the lobby, I can see and hear management in the Director’s office laughing it up and sometimes using foul language. They seem to be in her office or meeting room, or “out” for great lengths of time, and are socializing with each other more than they are working. There are a number of care staff that I can always count on, and I will say the nurse in charge does try. Housekeepers seem to work hard as well, and you can see them being friendly toward guests and patients. The Activities manager is sweet and makes many promises, but the activities are dull and redundant. She seems to be overwhelmed most of the time, but she is also socializing with the other managers as I have mentioned. They need more outside professional performance events in my opinion. Food is adequate, but they lost a true chef a while back. Bottom line is, this facility is decent enough and it is only because of the worker bees and despite the higher-ups.

[Name removed] gave me a wonderful tour as the Executive Dir was not available. The facility was light and welcoming. Enjoyed seeing the goats that are part of the community. Beautiful garden space. Follow up call from [name removed], the director to ensure I had gotten all the information that I needed.

My husband has been a resident of Greenridge Place for 15 months. The Director of Health Services, [name removed], does a great job assisting with care plans, hiring and training the care givers who are growing with more knowledge and abilities daily. He is in constant communications with families whose loved one is needing special care for a period of time, coordinating and communicating with the physicians and therapist applicable to each resident and making recommendations to assist the family in making decisions. Greenridge and the residents are really lucky to have [name rmeoved] and his staff.

My aunt has been here at Greenridege Place for a few months. Every time I go visit her the staff is friendly, the building is clean and wow the food! My aunt can be a tough cookie sometimes but her care team is really great. The executive director lindsey always makes us feel like family when we come. Great atmosphere!

This was the last place that we looked while we were looking into various options. By the end of it all, it was the best fit for my loved one. The staff is doing exactly what we ask for when caring for my mother which is great. They are trying to make my loved one more active and make her participate in activities. They do not allow the residents to stay in their room. Overall I am so satisfied with this community and it is completely contained. No one can go outdoors without the approval from a staff member.

A Place for Mom has scored Greenridge Place 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
