The facility is beautiful and very well-maintained. The initial experience was excellent, but the company was sold shortly after our loved one moved into the space. The new company has been difficult to get a hold of decision makers and many of the people who were there when I originally signed, have quit. The new leadership is not as collaborative as the original leadership, which has created challenges for me. The cleanliness in general is good and the friendliness of the staff is great. I have not met anyone as of yet who is not friendly, but no one has been able to get answers to the questions I have from the senior management in real time.

I do not recommend this facility to anyone EVER! I just removed my husband from Greenfield because the care and conditions were so poor. We were there from [date removed] and it was truly one of the worst experiences of my life. First of all for months the phones haven’t work so you can’t call to check on your loved one. The facility is run by undisciplined aides that do whatever they want when they want to. They bring their children to work and hang out on their cell phones etc. so of course, care is very poor. My husband was dirty sleeping in the same clothes he wore day after day. The facility is very dark and drab with no natural light coming in. The courtyard is not kept up in appearances with a fountain in the middle that does not work. The activities directors have been fired 3 times since January so there are basically no activities to encourage daily living. Residents just sit all day without any mental stimulation at all. The head person , [name removed], is no where to

Response from Greenfield Estates
October 4, 2023We deeply regret the challenges you faced at Greenfield and appreciate your feedback. We are committed to investigating and addressing the issues you raised promptly. We apologize for any shortcomings and would like to discuss your concerns further.
This place was so pleasing to the eye and ear when searching for a home for my loved one. I however am disappointed with the decline I see in the building appearance, the activities not offered anymore, the open conflict that exists between the staff and the aids, and I am very disgusted with the therapy dog that is allowed to run thru the facility and ignore the residents but poop and pee all over the facility. I believe these are problems that can easily be fixed if only management would step up and handle the complaints presented by family members. Putting a loved one in a facility is hard enough even when you are pleased with the presentation but when you see everything taking a turn for the worse you have to ask yourself is this where I really want to keep my loved one.

We had a good tour at Greenfield Estates. I liked the staff I talked with. There was nothing I found issue with. Their nurse came out to assess my loved one, and they just didn't think their community was a good fit for his needs.
dad has not been there very long, but I noticed that the aides work long hours. that does not affect the way they take care of the residents. they always smile and rush to help when needed. I even heard stories of some leaving, then coming back because they like working here.
My loved one is constantly busy with her activities. They do a coffee social in the mornings. They get to socialize with other residents while enjoying a drink and pastry if she wanted. She enjoyed their chair beach ball, sing a longs, etc. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needed memory care, or even for someone with assisted living with the future potential of needing memory care down the line. This is a locked memory unit and all on one floor. The staff call if they have any concerns regarding any concerns or questions regarding my loved one care. Their communication has been good, not too much, just enough. I know they are taking good care of her.

I would tell others that the food was really not even edible. It is for older residents and they gave them things like whole sized brussel sprouts and stale cake. The taste of the food was horrible and there was not much variety, they would give them the same things over and over again. They said it was chef prepared food so we were shocked and disappointed in that. The administrative staff did not visit the residents, my mom laid dying for 3 weeks and she did not visit her even once. They were just sold and we were hoping for new administrative staff and a chef but that has not changed yet. Overall I would not recommend them to others.

Greenfield is very caring toward residents. They are experts on dementia care. I would refer for my own family to use Greenfield.
Greenfield is a great community work with. Their communication and attention to detail is great. Family members of our hospice patients have nothing but great things to say about the staff.
Very caring staff, lots of activities. Clean and bright. Spacious rooms. Very nice menu. A wonderful place.
Greenfield is an Alzheimers special care center, and mecca for those with memory loss. The atmosphere is warm and homey, unlike a cold, uncaring institution. The best recommendations come from the residents who live here and say "this is home".
I toured this community in research for my future. It is beautiful and well kept. I saw alot of residents out and about and they all had smiles on their faces. The Sales Director was very well informed and friendly. Throughout the tour she greeted everyone by name. Looks like a great place to live.
Greenfield is a great community to work with. They take great care of our hospice patients.
Greenfield is a great community to work with. They care for each resident as if they were family. They are my #1 choice for my own family if needed.
My father lives here an enjoys it they are so helpful with his needs. [Name removed and name removed] always keeps him busy with activity. [Name removed] is so friendly when we arrive to visit. [Name removed] is always there to assist with our needs. [Name removed and name removed] to make sure dad is clean and well groomed. [Name removed] is very good make sure updates medicines. [Name removed] is doing great with her new position. Everyone is always so friendly and professional. Thank you to your staff.
Staff are very caring to the residents and families.
The reason we gave them an overall rating of a 4 was because our father ended up passing away very very early in the morning and our family was never notified. Our brother came to visit and when he got there the staff advised he passed away and was already taken to the funeral home. That was very heartbreaking to us that we were not notified or able to see him. The community said it was hospice's job to notify the family, and hospice said it was the communities job so there was a lack of communication there.

A Place for Mom has scored Greenfield Estates 5.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
