GoodLife Senior Living Amarillo

The dishwasher never worked. The meals were nutritious and mom liked them but not many activities planned. Mom passed in [date removed] of last year so we were just there about five months. They had a difficult time keeping directors. In the five months we were there, they had three different directors. The caregivers were caring and took good care of my mom.

I wish the communication between shifts and with family was better. There has been a lot of turnover this past year making it difficult to get acquainted with staff and develop a relationship with them.

My cousin was loved like she was a family member and we were treated with love and respect.

I would say that overall, we love GoodLife! With the small size of the community, the staff and Caregivers really get to know the residents and know how to best meet their needs. I would recommend!

We have been there since July and have now gone through two directors so evidently there is a break in the system somewhere. The care givers are very patient and kind with my mom and she is difficult. They work to decorate and make it seem like a big home. Meals are prepared well and look good. Unfortunately the dishwasher has not worked since we have been there. That is not good with illnesses going around.

Excellent place. I moved my grandmother in here after a bad situation. She got her dignity back immediately. They have so much patience and compassion for these residents. We are so appreciative of the admin and the staff. Both houses are wonderful and clean!

My mother is a resident at Goodlife. We feel truly blessed. They provide good homecooked meals. Laundry service. Housekeeping and medication management. My mother receives top quality care and alot of love. Goodlife is a step above the rest . Its the best choice we ever made !!

The manager and assistant manager go out of their way to make sure the residents are being taken care of and are quick to resolve any issues.

I would say we love it! I wish there were more activities, but I think they're working on it. I would recommend it to others. We picked this community, because of the overall cost, care cost policy and and the home-like atmosphere.

The small size of this community along with higher than average ratio of staff enables Goodlife to provide resident centered care at its best. Staff is loving and kind. Definitely give them a chance if you want your loved one in a home environment with quality care.

They have wonderful food, but my loved one is a picky eater. They do have activities, but my loved one does not partcipate. They are attentive to the residents. Communication between different areas, could be improved. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

ZERO STARS. if you have a family member or loved one & looking to place them in a facility, steer very far from here. “Good Life” THAT WAS A JOKE. they verbally abuse the residents & sometimes skips some residents out of getting them up for their breakfast or lunch just because they don’t wanna deal with the harder ones. this place needs to be shut down! horrible horrible Place & the “manager” is a bit of a joke herself

My family and I could not be more satisfied with the care and love that our Mom received from the staff at Goodlife. Mom could be extremely difficult and the staff were firm yet loving in getting her to do things she needed to do. We are in the process of losing Mom and each staff member has come by her room to check on her, most have stayed late or come in on their day off to be here when she passes. [name removed] the Administrator is an amazing lady, she stays with Mom, holds her hand, stays until all hours of the morning, comes in on her days off or in the middle of the night to be with us as well to comfort Mom. If we could give this place a 100 stars we would. Goodlife is not the norm when giving good care, they definitely rise too the top.

While our loved one was there, they would have small parades where the residents loved ones could drive by and say hi. They also were really good about having get together's like ice cream socials so they residents could mingle and celebrate birthdays.

The Goodlife Senior Living Amarillo was a wonderful facility that I toured for my dad. I liked the small community feel.

I would want others to know when looking into Good Life Senior Living to stay far, far away from here. The care was not good, the best thing that happened to my mom was she passed away and did not have to endure this place. When hospice was finally allowed in her room, the were appalled, my mom was laying in her own filth. They and the ambulance actually filed complaints about the facility.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Good Life Senior living and Memory Care in Amarillo!!!! It is a small cottage with fifteen rooms and I think the majority if not all are large private rooms. The administrator and staff are wonderful and stay in contact with me. Love the open concept of the dining room, living room and kitchen. I feel like he is getting the best care possible! This facility has met everything on my checklist!

They treated us really well when we were there. For the price and for having to be away from us, i think it is one of the better memory cares out there. It was small so they could provided more individualized attention. They prepared really good home cooked meals for the residents. We chose this community because of its size and also the price.
