Gateway Vista

Overall, it’s a good nice place for them to be my mom the only complaint I have is that they seem understaffed the stuff that is there are very caring and care about their jobs the care they give each person I do feel that they need to be more alert of the medical needs that are wrote from doctors about taking blood pressures or medicines instructions are on the medicine bottles. I understand the meals are not made special like on the nursing home side, which is understandable. It seems employees that they are working are dedicated to helping the people they serve. At times when I wanted to take my mom out she was supposed to get her medicines for the day and we had to wait several times for a long time for them to come and give her her medicines because they weren’t prepared. The drivers are very nice and respectful to my mother. She enjoys being there seems happy.

The housekeeping that cleans our loved one's room is excellent. The community has been wonderful to work with. There have been outside concerts. They have transportation for a fee for the residents to use. The food is good. They don't serve high sodium items and my loved one enjoys the food.

The quality of care is excellent, from RNs to nurse aides, the goal is make me comfortable and meet my needs. The administrator [name removed] stopped by my room to inquire how I’m doing and make sure all my needs met. Everyone is friendly. Nurse [name removed] is very kind, friendly, compassionate and excellent at her job. The therapy services are extremely helpful. Therapy respectively responded to my request for adjustment of sessions based on how I’m feeling. Administration is very involved, caring, friendly and supportive. I have completed 2 skilled rehab stays...and if necessary, I will return for care.

The center fails to provide adequate staffing for special circumstances. That means patients have a difficult time toileting, etc. The center depends to much on family and friends to provide care- again, a staffing issue. If it wasn't for this problem I would give this facility an "excellent" rating.

Dear Gateway Vista, [Name removed] stay at Gateway Vista was exceptional. When we arrived we noticed a welcoming atmosphere with appealing decor. Most employees were pleasant, encouraging and efficient in their own special way. The therapists had a unique way to make workouts enjoyable- like a "snowball fight" that everyone in therapy room participated in. The variety of equipment for use helped [name removed] execute his goal to get stronger. Food was served with a smile and in ample portions. The staff tried to accommodate [name removed] tastes and encouraged him to eat. I noticed a team effort with employees in each department helping each other. The speech department had helpful hints pertaining [name removed] swallow problem. Social Services department explained options and answered questions thoroughly. The men in transportation were dedicated. The nurses and CNA's were SO helpful. A sincere thanks, [name removed] wife [name removed]

Gateway Vista was a wonderful experience! I would strongly advise anyone and everyone to complete a rehab stay at Gateway. The food was very good. Transportation was great. And the physical therapy was excellent!! Everyone works well together to meet care needs.

OUTSTANDING! Over and beyond for care and friendliness. Wonderful setting. Breakfast is the best meal of the day. Staff is very kind and caring.

Come look and listen before making a decision... this is such a nice rehab facility. Offers very good nursing care. I live in the assisted living apartments and like the continuum of services provided very much. The food is usually good. People are very nice.

To First Floor Nursing Staff, I owe you a GIANT THANK YOU for the expert care. It's been a pleasure to be treated by you. I have noticed a nice morale within nursing staff. THAT's AWESOME! I've enjoyed seeing a special team at work together. Keep up the fabulous work! To Nurse Aides, A big thank you for all you do. I've enjoyed the joking, humor, conversation & sharing experiences. You all have great potential for future school/careers. I hope a pray your dreams & aspirations all come true. Always keep positive!

I just would like to say I have been at Gateway on 2 occasions, the staff there could not be anymore caring, respectful, informed on my case and in my opinion the best staff from the aids to therapy as well as all that stepped in just to say hi. God Bless this staff and facility. Thank you for all you do and continue to do. A lot of love to this establishment. Thank you so much.

I have been at Gateway before and would never have gone to any other rehab facility. I can't find anything less than excellent in any category of services. Especially to me, is the friendliness and helpfulness of anyone at Gateway, from [name removed] the administrator to the housekeeping, all wonderful. So many positive things to share, can't say it all in 200 word count.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food is so good! Very clean facility, no unpleasant odors. I love it at Gateway Vista. All three of my rehab stays have been excellent!

Often, it felt like I was waiting excessively long for call light response. Food was excellent! Therapy was excellent! I would absolutely recommend gateway for a rehab to others.

I received professional care in a friendly, caring, welcoming environment. Staff met all my needs. I completed a short rehab stay then took advantage of outpatient therapy at Gateway too. I appreciate the free transportation to outpatient therapy sessions. Very Welcoming! The food was absolutely delicious! I would recommend Gateway Vista care and services to anyone and everyone. The staff at Vista is extremely competent and very cordial. I’d recommend this facility to anyone needing these services.

You will get the best of care: food fantastic, bathes fantastic, home-like. The nursing staff is “angels without wings”. Dischage is bittersweet due to great care and excitement of getting home. You will feel very ready to be successful at home thanks to great therapy. After discharge, outpatient therapy care is great too! Always good to visit, say hello to familiar faces.
