I felt very welcome there, the staff was friendly and knew their patients well. It was cleaned often, and they offered a number of activities for everyone. I loved the style and openness of the facility. It had huge windows with beautiful trees and landscaping, it felt very welcoming. I was happy to have my husband there.

As trouble placing [name removed] as we had to moved him to monitored assisted living for 2.5 month. Then, all of his nurses decided he needed to go back to Memory Care. The community is neat and tidy. The staff members are very friendly and do their best trying to help. They offer up good activities for the residents like Morning welcome, refreshments, games & laughter, music & movement, happy hour, and word games are some he has attended in the last month! The value is less expensive than our local care center where he was for 9 months.

The meals could be better. I would say it's a good place with good staff. It's more affordable than some and in particular their nursing staff is better at working with the residents. They don't force extra charges which was our experience at another community.

A Place for Mom has scored The Knolls 8.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
