There’s a nice mail rook beauty shop and little store. Just had renovations done it’s an elegant facility at a very fair price! Trees flowers birds squirrels are visible from the balcony. There are lil buses to take u shopping and underground parking if u need it. The foods good but most praise for the great loving staff.... Read more

I have no complaints of how things went during my tour of this community. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them in detail. The property was clean and they had a lot of great amenities for the residents. Overall it was a great place just not the right location for my mother in the end decision.

Everything is going fine for my mother so far since her move into forest Ridge. It is still very early to give a good review. The staff has been very nice.

My Dad liked the facility. The tour was quick but informative. It's in the running as a possible choice for my Dad. It was not as big as other facilities we've seen and that is a better fit for my Dad. It had a good feel to it.

The first thing I loved about this property was that it's tours and meetings were conducted by an actual resident! I really loved that I was able to ask specific questions that only someone who lives there would know. The apartments were very nice, but a few options were only available with the highest priced ones (patio, private washer/dryer). There were a lot of scheduled events and activities for residents. I loved that everything was in the same building, however the main common areas were VERY far away from the apartments and the hallways were very long. I easily got lost in my visit just trying to find the office and my way out afterwards.

I do not really like this community. This community is not accommodating to moms needs. You have to pay for each meal that is delivered and mom does not really like the food. They charge us for cleaning her apartment and they do not have to do anything as I clean it. The staff and the new director are not real friendly. This community is overpriced for what we are getting. I would not recommend this community.

My grandmother has been living at Forest Ridge for a few months now, and we are seeing great changes in her way of life! She was struggling with depression after Grandpa passed away, and moving away from her home in Florida was a bit overwhelming to her! Forest Ridge has been a GREAT fit for her though! She has settled in well, and tells us all about her great neighbors that she goes to activites with, or that she invites over for dinner. Purchasing the meal plan that is available was a great benefit, because each time she goes down for a meal she tells us that she met new people! She may not need to continue that long-term, but it's nice that she has the option! Also, its great that if she purchases a meal but ends up not going down for it, she can go later and pick it up in a to go container and has it for another time! She has enjoyed learning to use the transportation options available at Forest Ridge, and has a lovely apartment where we can often visit her and even stay in her extra bedroom! It's like her own home, only she has assistance if needed, and built-in friends/neighbors!

I toured this community for my mother and her needs. It was a good tour, it went well. The community looks nice and clean. From what I saw everything appeared to be well maintained. It was a good tour, this is a nice community. It just wasn't the one for my mother and her needs.

Shirley seems to like it at Forest Ridge. The only thing she mentioned is the residents don't seem to talk during the meals. I was hoping to see her get better social interaction. Her air conditioning unit seems to go on the fritz a lot. Also we baked cookies in the oven while I was there visiting and the oven seems difficult to figure out. The staff are super nice there. The facility is very clean. It is very secure. I would to see more parking, sometimes that can get difficult. We did want to sign up to have her given 2 medications a day but they add all kinds of other care when you do that and the cost would double. I would like to be able to just pay a little extra to have her give those 2 medications rather than them tack on all the extra care and cost. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is okay. It is brought in from another company and she did say the desserts are really good. She is very happy at this facility but the only downside is the social interaction.

We had trouble getting the phone connected. AT&T was delayed by several days-but it turned out that Forrest Ridge was the cause of the non-connection. Would recommend that the phone wiring be checked ahead of time if moving a senior into this facility. There seems to be a disconnect in providing 'introductory assistance' to new residences. We were hoping that our Mom would have been guided by either a staff member or a current resident to help her find out the activities and amenities offered here. Maybe offering a DVD showing the facilities and locations within it would be helpful. The room is fine, clean and all appliances were working well. Would recommend having a microwave option for residents. The grounds are well kept and secure. Some of the residents apartments are quite a walk from the dining room and lobby. For people that have trouble or need assistance walking, would recommend the use of cane and walkers.

It's clean and the staff is friendly. They offer a catering service for food. If they added on any more things, a kitchen would be nice, since it's getting bigger and bigger. They could add a few more activities. It's affordable for someone that has a fixed income. I really appreciate that they have a chapel onsite, and offering a spiritual aspect to the community. They have services for different faiths. When I walked in it was an answer to my prayers.

Everything is going great, my parents are very happy there. It is nice having the doctor there so they can see him and are not rushing out all the time. Also having the medication there, it is delivered so they are not leaving to go get that.

I find them to be very accommodating. They go out of their way to help people. They go above and beyond. They are very nice. The facility is very nice as well. It's always clean and well kept. The value is excellent. They offer various activities. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice place for their parents. I can't rate the care services because my loved one doesn't require it. It is not applicable.

My loved ones live at the Forest Ridge. They haven't used the services yet but they have been very happy here. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The value was the best compared to others. I can't rate the care services or activities yet. It is not applicable. So far so good.

I did have one concern. We're finding out that my mother needs meals and they said we have to sign up ahead of time. We realized it wasn't good for us. I wasn't too happy about that. We are going address that to them this week. Other than that, The facility is very clean. The residents are friendly and welcoming. My overall rating of this property is 3 stars. I hope they are able to resolve this concern.

Apartment room too small and no heat in the bathroom. Extra expenses added to monthly rent.

The place was awesome, it's fantastic! It is an absolutely wonderful place. The place is extremely clean and at least twice a month they provide transportation to and from outings. She didn't want to go there but she has adjusted very well. They are all in one building the laundry and cafeteria, her hairdresser is in the same building, even a little store inside. She doesn't have to leave the building to do any of her day to day things and this takes a huge weight off of my shoulders. Mary the manager there is very quick to let me know what's going on with her. We love it! I would move there myself one day.

It's wonderful. I have been there several times. The atmosphere is great. She has a physical handicap but she is in independent living, and she has her own apartment. There are a lot of activities like cards, Wii bowling, etc. There is a big spacey area that everyone can get together an do activities.

I am really enjoying being here at Forest Ridge. The food is wonderful and just taste very good. I only have the noon meal and cook the rest of my meal in my apartment, but it is always a good meal they provide. The apartments are the right size for me they are not too big but not too small. I am really enjoying living here and would recommend it to anyone.

A Place for Mom has scored Forest Ridge Senior Community 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
