Eden turned out to be an excellent fit for my Uncle. The staff is warm and welcoming; they made sure to give him the time he needed to adjust to his new environment. It's very clean, and bright and there is always something for the residents to do. I love how they can fix up their rooms...called apartments to really be an extension of home; be it a favorite easy chair, microwave, decor....just about anything. I highly recommend Eden Heights for your loved one.... Read more

I picked this community, because I thought I would have better care for the money. If you have the money go there.

My loved one wasn't where she should have been. First of all, her doctor suggested assisted living for her and said that even with her memory issues, an assisted living facility should be able to help her. So I made sure I asked Eden Heights about that, and they said "Oh yeah, we can help." Then after she moved in, they said they had to keep redirecting her, and she couldn't find her way to the meal room every day. Every single minute they were repeating things back to her. All this was going on, but they never talked about moving her. Then later on, all of a sudden, they gave us a 30 days notice saying we needed to move her. I feel like she wasn't screened properly. And some things occurred that shouldn't have. They allowed her to have cigarettes and a lighter in her room. And initially when they verbally told me she needed to move, they said she was getting kicked out for smoking. Apparently she never remembered that they told her not to, and they never contacted the family or her doctor about it. Their screening process was very poor, and their communication was very poor. All of this never should have happened. Some of staff who knew what they were doing with memory care patients were good to my loved one. But others had no training and were very curt and rude to her. They don't have enough staff in general or licensing to handle those types of memory problems.
Read MoreEden Heights was a wonderful facility. We chose them because it was quick, they had availability, and they took her on short notice. The room sizes at the facility were adequate for what she needed. The staff were fantastic with communication and always kept us updated. They were wonderful and did everything they said they would. I would highly recommend them.

Don't choose this community. They misrepresented themselves to us. Most of the time they sent my loved one to another community/hospital after a short amount of time. This is after the community had told us that they could care for our loved one. Some of this could be COVID related. The intake person wasn't there during the move in. Due to this the administrator had to assist us.

It is a small community. I like the fact that it is on one floor, and a simple floor plan for my loved one. Overall the staff is friendly and helpful.

My sister is presently living at Eden Heights. We have no complaints. She seems to be satisfied with the food and services. Our visits are satisfying despite the Covid-19.

I have lived at Eden Heights of West Seneca for almost 10 months now and it seems like I arrived only yesterday. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. My room and the public areas are kept clean and comfortable. Meals are varied and tasty, and activities are scheduled daily to keep residents busy and interactive with others when possible. Covid-19 has put a damper on some usual activities, but with the hard work and persistence of the staff our home is Covid-free.

I did a virtual tour with [name removed]. She was very pleasant and was very helpful with all the questions that we had. I noticed as she walked through how clean the building was. I am glad to know that my father will get the care he needs once he moves there.

We were not very happy with Eden Heights of West Seneca. We were told that they had memory care and they really don't know how to handle someone with memory problems. My mother went 8 days without a shower or a change of clothes. This was during the quarantine time, so we were not visiting as often. But we had asked them to call us if she refused as shower, we were told it was no problem. Also her Medicine for her elbow that was a brand new tube went missing, they had the empty box. It was replaced with another one at their expense. But that's not the point, also another script that was filled 2 weeks prior to us moving her was gone within a week after she got to her new place and the drugstore wouldn't even refill it, she had 2 weeks to go yet. My mother also got sat a table with two men, who didn't come to eat hardly at all so she sat all by herself everyday, even when she got a roommate and had room at her table they put the other lady at a different table. I would never suggest anybody to put their loved one there. We have since moved her else where and she is doing way better. I have really thought about reporting them to NYS Dept of Health. I still might. Thanks
