Go some where else. They talked a good talk. They said they would treat him like he was their own father. But they did not.

I had to get hospice involved to allow her to go to the facility. (Open wound) The administration/ social workers helped speed up the process as I could only be in Vegas a short time as my husband in Ohio was having cancer treatments. It was a rough time. The hospice was not affiliated with the facilities under there umbrella but the care seemed to be almost seamless.

It's a hidden gem, everyone seems nice with the residents. Very comfortable first name basis. The studio and one bedrooms are like hotel rooms nice and spacious. The two bedrooms as well The do light housekeeping without charge that is a nice bonus They remind you to go eat incase they fall asleep May not be amenities but extremely helpful at their age

The biggest thing my aunt complains about is the food. They do not make the food in their own kitchen but instead have it delivered each meal. The menu is not much better than a school cafeteria, and even though the residents bring it up every month at the monthly meetings, nothing seems to get changed. The staff is very nice and my aunt is happy there except for the food. The building is old so there are things that have to be repaired in the apartments from time to time, but the handyman is very nice and helpful. The activities directed is wonderful. The director is nice.

The facility is very different from other assistant living/senior apartments that I've ever been to… everyone is friendly and very busy. The room sizes are nice and adequate for the needs. Highly recommend Desert Springs.

We were welcomed with open arms. Great food, calm atmosphere, very quiet, comfy and friendly. So glad we found something that is cozy and well within our budget. So far we love it. The only thing is it could use a little more security.

My loved one is a resident at Desert Springs. Everyone is welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond to make the transition easy. They have activities daily and gently encourage residents to participate. I 100% recommend this facility to others.

They were very friendly and talked a good talk when we were touring the facility. They said you need to be daughters not care givers. We treat our residents like our own family. They left my father in filthy clothes and underwear. They even either did not have enough staff or the staff didn't care! Like I said we were very disappointed. My sister and her husband dropped in several times and Dad was not a priority for the staff it was a terrible experience for us all.

We chose Desert Springs Senior Living because they had immediate openings and they were able to accommodate my father quickly and efficiently. All of the staff members there really seem to care about their residents and try to do fun things they might enjoy doing.

What we really like about the Desert Springs Senior Living community is the staff, they are very caring and thoughtful. However an area of improvement would be with the activities, they are insufficient for the tenants. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

Do not go if your loved one needs reliable transportation (for example dialysis) and if they cannot somewhat care for themselves on their own. If you can afford other places, do that instead. [name removed] was great, some of the cleaning staff was sweet, but the rest of the staff was not as pleasant. The front desk guy always acted as if you were bothering him. I know they have a lot to deal with, just seemed like there was a major lack of communication between departments which made their jobs extra stressful- then they would let it show to the guests and residents.

The tour of Desert Springs was disappointing and made me sad. I didn't see any assistants available for the residents. It was hard to park, and not as pretty as I was anticipating. Due to all of these reasons we choose another community. The man who they found to do the tour was nice, but it was like he didn't expect me to like it.
The staff members were all very nice and attentive. The facility was definitely old and outdated, but was pretty clean. The apartment sizes at Desert Springs are plenty big.

I'm moving out. Since the new manager, approximately 80% of the employees have quit. A lot of people have moved and are moving. The food is awful (I have pictures). He raised rents 5%, and spent it on furniture in the lobby. Maintenance not getting done, but he buys more furniture. While he's spending the resident’s money on furniture, he refused to paint a resident’s apartment. He refers to our homes as "rooms" as if this is a flop house. Insulting and degrading. The wonderful employees. He cut their hours, so they take home less money, while he buys more furniture. I can't wait to leave here. But what's going to happen to those darling elderly who have no where to go. He will raise the rent again. Part of his agenda

Well, they are under new management, and they are going through renovations right now, and they just raised all the prices for care and for rent. I take it they have to pay for the renovations with something. Why would it come out of their own pocket. The food is not good to put it mildly, they keep saying they're going to get a good chef, but many times they're using frozen food , no vegetables no fresh anything. If I wouldn't eat it, I don't want my mother eating it -she doesn't even go down to the dining room. I buy her groceries and bring them to her. [name removed] is their hair and nail technician- she's very friendly. They don't pay attention to detail very well. It takes a while for maintenance to get things fixed. Example my mothers blinds on her sliding glass window were damaged and they came in weeks later replaced them with lines that didn't even fit. They were like a foot too short, but left them there anyway.
