Staff turnover is higher than expected, hard to find and keep good staff. This seems to be a problem everywhere. On weekends they are light on staff. The maintenance and housekeeping are A+. Family is always welcomed, activities are available if you want to participate. The move in process was easy, the facility is only 2 stories. The meals are fine, there is always a choice of entrees. For people on a budget, this is the place.

All was great BUT My husband that was there couldn't do stairs.. sales lady bragged on elevators but being out of order 99% of the time confined my husband to his upstairs room.. deal breaker!

My loved one was previously a resident at Court at Round Rock and overall the experience was very good. The cleanliness was okay and the friendliness was great. The staff, activities and care services were good. I would recommend this facility to others.

It's okay. Nothing spectacular but comfortable. Very convenient location to me -close to my home. Within budget. Cleaning and maintenance could use improvement. When I've pointed things out, it's been addressed quickly.

The staff at Court at Round Rock are very friendly and welcoming. The move was great and I had used their reference of moving companies. The only negative I would say is that the food is not good. It's either cold, over done or they do not serve what is on the menu. The cafeteria is too cold and that makes it uncomfortable to eat with a jacket on. I wish they would have better experiences with their meals. I feel I have to bring food more often now and makes it inconvenient. The space and room in the apartments is a plus. The price is great and can't be beat!

Our family had an in person tour with Court at Round Rock and it was a nice tour experience overall but the community was just way to big for our loved one.
Some of the people working there are not very kind to the people living there. All the people there are old, so some staff talk down to them. The food is usually good, but they did have a few weeks where they must've had changeover and the food was very bad. I know that older people that don't feel well are sometimes grouchy but the staff there should not talk down to them. My dad's had constant problems with the TV since he's been there. Some of the staff that know nothing about the TV. Keep telling him it's not working because of the weather which is BS. Some improvements needed as I listed. Would still recommend no place is perfect.

My review is based off of before they were sold to another group. They really do care about their people. And it was the only place I saw where people were doing things instead of just sitting around...which I liked. They can't keep track of everything so if you have someone who shouldn't be alone and wanders this isn't the place. My mom had to be relocated to memory care in December because she wandered off and the police brought her back 15 minutes later.

The staff is great! [Name removed] in particular was so helpful, patient and friendly. The staff is all very nice and go above and beyond to meet the needs of their residents. It feels more like a retirement community than an assisted living facility. They plan a lot of activities and encourage the residents to become engaged and have fun.

Response from Court at Round Rock
May 22, 2023Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our community. We love our residents and we are very glad that this is evident. We hope that you will continue to visit and encourage you to let us know if there is anything we can do to improve our care and services. We thank you for choosing the Court at Round Rock!
We picked this community, because of the cost, and relative location. Th activities manager was constantly pulled away from supporting residents and was asked to do sales instead. They are short staffed, so lots of things fall through the cracks. My loved ones nutrition and eating habits did improve while there. The shuttle driver quit so they didn't get to go to a lot of events.

May 12, 2023Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Court at Round Rock. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to improve our care and services. The concerns you identify would definitely impact one's experience. We will investigate your concerns. In addition to your review, we hope and highly encourage that you have also taken the time to present these concerns to the Executive Director. We are constantly working to attract and secure compassionate team members to join our community family, unfortunately this issue is impacting the entire healthcare industry. We daily make this a priority and will continue to do so to ensure our residents have the best possible care. We will look into your concerns about activities and shuttle service. It is an honor to call your loved one our resident, and we appreciate the information so that we may make every effort to try and repair your experience and exceed your expectations.
We toured the Court at Round Rock and we liked the facility. It was very nice, but just a bit further away than I wanted my loved one to be from me. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. I liked that they had a hairdresser on site, also.
I think the maintenance needs to be better, my moms kitchen faucet has been broken since she moved in on [date removed]. They keep promising to fix it but never have. Also I think when someone goes into an apartment they should lock the door behind them. My mom has slept all night several times with the door unlocked after she was given her evening pills. I also think they need to get better quality food and someone that knows how to run a kitchen. I did catering for over 400 people everyday for 13 years and I know their kitchen needs help.

The activities are good, although my loved one does not participate. They bragged about the food, and it's not that good. We picked this community, because it was the prettiest and nicest upon visiting other places. It was attractive and the salesperson sold us. I would enjoy this community, if I had to go somewhere.

The friendliness of the staff team stood out to us right away, from the moment we took the tour we felt so welcomed and comfortable. Our loved one immediately felt at home. The director was great and everyone seemed very knowledgeable - we were well received on just the tour. The location is very close to our family which is great, and we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

I would say... for the price, it's as expected. Not super fancy, but my loved one has made friends, feels more independent, and is as content as they can be in this stage of life. So a win. Communication in the beginning was rough. But they did work to get my loved one acclimated and socializing.

The staff is very personable. They treat my mother with great respect and deal with her needs accordingly. I love the apartment. It's clean and well maintained. The only negative I have for them is sometimes communication is not as quick as I would like.
