Chapel View Apartments is a senior living community nestled in the suburban area of Hopkins, Minnesota, which is just southwest of Minneapolis. The community offers a continuum of care with services in independent living, assisted living, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, hospice care, and adult day care on the same campus. All residents have access to on-site medical care, with certain services provided by professionals who specialize in geriatric care. Residents in assisted living undergo an assessment performed by a nurse that helps create a personalized care plan. This care is then fulfilled by round-the-clock, on-site caregivers. Plus, licensed nursing staff and an on-call nurse are available 24 hours a day during the weekdays.
While receiving quality care, residents live on site in a private living space. The community offers studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments — all of which have natural light spilling in from the large windows. To help provide a safe environment, apartments have accessible walk-in showers with grab bars and emergency call systems.
While living at Chapel View Apartments, residents have access to various amenities and a fully scheduled activity calendar. For an additional charge, residents can sit and eat chef-prepared meals together in the restaurant-style dining room three times a...

Response from Chapel View Apartments
January 17, 2024Thank you so much, Ron, for taking the time to share your experience with us. We appreciate your kind words and will pass them along to our dedicated staff. If there is anything more we can do for you or your family, please let us know!
Our family had an in person tour and from what we saw on the tour and the staff we interacted with it was a good experience
The community was good just not what we were looking for my loved one. They had a good tour.
This community was really good and the tour was great it just did not work for my loved one.
Overall it is a good community, the staff have been wonderful and now know everything about our loved one and family. The initial tour was nice, but we did have a rough start moving in. We did not have an first nurse assessment of our loved one, and they weren't going to do an assessment until a week after the move in. This stressed us out not being nurses and know how to care for our loved one if something happens. Make sure to have your loved assessed before move in. Other than that hiccup we would absolutely recommend this community, they have been fantastic. It is smaller so our loved one gets a lot of one on one attention. We like that everything is a la cart so we can pay for additional services if needed.

During the short period of time we were there, we only had a good experience with this community. The staff members were all good and so helpful. We really liked the manager, she was just terrific and helped us get acquainted with the other residents. The food was good, and the rooms were on the smaller side but big enough.

I you have people you LOVE do not I repeat DO NOT put them in Augustana Chapel View. I repeat DO NOT go into ACV. If on the other hand you can not stand them, ACG is the place to stuff them!!! I am currently a patient at ACV and have been for 3 weeks, can't wait until discharge. Don't let the reviews about staff fool you. For the most part they all have attitudes and come off as not wanting to be here. They are grouchy, unkind and have a don't give a damn vibe. There are a few exceptions, like in therapy or the housekeeping staff. But Nurses, Nurses Aids and social services should all be let go. If you press your call light you can expect 15-30 minutes before it is answered. I asked for a can of Ginger Ale and it took one person to get the can and a second person to get a cup of ice. It took over and hour. When they do answer your call light they say "What do you want?" not "How can I help you?" I have open wounds on both my lower legs. Prior to being here I went to the Wound Clinic and watched them dress the wounds properly. Now they are trying to take care of them here. When I tell them what part of the dressing they are not doing correctly they get mad and walk out. They don't listen to you. They only hear what they want to hear and make things up that are not true. Don't let the pretty pictures fool you. You are confined to your room/floor. I have talked to patients in the rooms next to me and they all hate it here. I don't know how it got a 5 star rating. Someone is lying. That's it for now. I intend to write more another day or on different sites. THIS PLACE IS BAD

Our family had just decided the day before my search, we needed to place my mom into a care center. Within one hour of giving my info online and a Place for Mom contacting me I had 4 options with appointments scheduled for us that day and the next. We were able to focus on what was important for Mom. We found Augustana Chapel View apartments. She moved in within two weeks. I never could have arranged all that by myself so quickly. The most important value received was guidance on options to think about. I received amazing effective information. I have recommended this agency to anyone willing to listen.

December 14, 2018Thank you for sharing your experience, Lori. Augustana Chapel View staff members are honored you and your mother chose our community. If there is anything more you need, please let us know! --Craig M., Regional Director of Marketing - Senior Living
Chapel View has been better that expected for my parents. Two years ago they were having health scares, had no plan for next steps after their home and were looking to me for answers. The team at Chapel View helped them transition well. Amazing one bedroom apartment, great meals downstairs, new friends, caring staff and option of attached care center. On behalf of my parents, I recommend Chapel View Hopkins!

Visited. In the homes the windows are set really high. Without standing, all that I could see is the sky. I need more of a view than that.

Very comfortable feeling here. Does not have dinner meal served in dining room. Meals are extra price in rent.

After my total knee replacement, I knew I would require occupational and physical rehabilitation formulated by thoughtful and sincere health care workers experienced in the special challenges senior face in to today’s busy world. I could go anywhere for these services but I chose Augustana chapel view for my care. The interview which Augustana had with me left me with a feeling of trust. I did the hard work and now I can reap the rewards of my hard work and feel confident I can maintain the independence I wanted for this time of my life. Truly a choice worth your Consideration.

A Place for Mom has scored Chapel View Apartments 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
