Chaparral Winds Retirement Community

After much research in NX PHX AZ area we found Chaparral Winds in Surprise AZ. Well managed and staffed, gourmet chef food, excellent chorus, choice of planned activities (optional) a staff who care about you. Come and see for yourself

Have been very impressed with the consideration & the management director who was so helpful in every respect. She made my adjustment so easy and comfortable. The residents and help are all so friendly and helpful.

Chaparral Winds has a great staff, caring and professional. residents make you feel at home on day one. its like living on a permanently docked cruise ship. great food, activities, entertainment and friendly residents.

I like living at Chaparral Winds. For 7 1/2 years I have enjoyed the friendships of many people, residents and employees. Never a dull moment. There is always something to do or someplace to go. Thank you, Chaparral Winds.

We came to this community because: - It is a reasonable priced gates community. - The grounds are attractive. - Schedules transportation is available to shopping and group activities off site. - Transportation to medial visits is available with prior notice. - Its heating and cooling is controlled by us. - Maintenance can help with things we can't do. - Other residents, employees and management are friendly and very helpful.

Chaparral Winds is a very nice place to live.

I am very happy living in Chaparral Winds. The residents look after each other and the personnel is great. After living her for 5 years, I look forward to a great future.

I like it here — I don't want to move. Very friendly. Residents are all the greatest assets, meals need improvement. Transpiration excellent — good maintenance of apartments. Maintenance staff excellent.

Love the community. People are so friendly and inclusive. Grounds are mostly well maintained; need more gravels/stones especially in the casita areas. Many activities. There is something fro everyone. Food is very yummy but we can't eat there often because of amount of sodium. Overall — great place.

My parents moved in to Chapperel Winds last year And it’s given all of us such peace of mind. It’s in a great location and the staff seems to genuinely care for the residents It’s clean and the maintenance staff is always willing to take care of issues for them. We know that this is the best place for them at this time in their lives so we are very pleased.

Six year resident in a 2 bed/bath. Sensible choice for older seniors. Free of home repairs, taxes, cable and more. Not a buy in facility. Social events in house and bus trips. Choice of hours for lunch or dinner/1 meal. In house: main, dining rm, trash etc

Most of the time I'm happy here. But I get upset when they are out of main food items an hour or less before closing.

Menu - healthy choices, dining hours and seating are flexible. Housekeeping is excellent, maintenance is prompt and super. There are activities and celebrations. Variety of games and entertainment. Resident independent council. Field trips such as dining out, shopping, and transportation to doctor, dentist, eye appointments. Marketing is thorough.

This is a great community to live in. The people are extra nice and friendly. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The building and grounds are clean. There is plenty of entertainment of various types to keep you busy. For me, it is a home away from home.

The staff here is wonderful, however, they could use more maintenance men. The housekeepers do wonderful work and so do the servers in the dining room. The marketing lady is wonderful and she is available to help with any problems we have.

It is friendly, clean, and I don't have to cook! Very helpful in response for repair request. I am happy to refer!

I have been here for six and a half years. The first three years were an A+ because of the food, dining room, P.R., front desk, office, etc. The last three years it's been a C- for food, cleanliness, dining room, P.R., cleanliness, etc. It is a "homey" size community and residents are like family. It could be better because it was!

This is an older community. Not kept up as should be. The manager is not friendly. Very important to make the residents feel like it is their home. Food is not always good. Maintenance men work very hard but do no stay for some reason. I'm happy at Chaparral but I'm a positive person and make the best of things that need attention. Life is good to me.
