The staff there at Capitol Lakes Terraces are super! They are very welcoming, very caring, and very well organized. Their staff is very well trained and they really care and do a great job. The only area I can think of where they might could improve would be to be a little more proactive in getting residents to activities that are reluctant. The activities they have are really good, but some of the residents need a little more encouragement to participate.... Read more

My mom resides at the assisted living portion of capitol lakes and it has went downhill tremendously from when she was first admitted. The administrator is on an ego trip. She lied to my face several times about what was going on with staffing. There is no longer a registered nurse in the building. There are two lpns during the day but they do not work on her floor so how is she ever being assessed? The lpns need a registered nurse to oversee their duties and assessments and somehow the administrator thinks the director of nursing from the skilled nursing center is good Enough even though she is brand new herself and had never met any of the assisted living residents. I was also informed that the administrator who has absolutely no medical degree now takes calls regarding medications and resident care. I am tired of being lied to and gaslit. I would move my mother, however, I worry about the change of environment and her fragile health right although there is no one looking over her

A Place for Mom has scored Capitol Lakes Terraces 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
