Brookdale Madison West

Dad often complains of slow service, long waits for help with the urinal. Some caregivers are very good, others rude and impatient.

Overall we are becoming happier with my moms care at Brookdale. [name removed] the interim Director is a breath of fresh air! We have seen quite the improvements in a short period of time and It’s nice to have someone of his caliber leading the staff and supporting our families.

Most of the staff give exemplary care and some others not so much; response time for requested help (emergency as in a fall) is poor. After a lengthy wait my mom was on the floor for hours and finally called 911; she sat on the bathroom floor for about half an hour one night. Excuse is always they are short staffed. The meals are good and staff in the dining room is helpful. There are not many activities. The value for cost is hard to say because I don't have another to compare to

We highly recommend Brookdale Madison West. My Aunt is living in the very best community she can possibly be. She is safe, comfortable and well cared for.

My dad is a resident at Brookdale Madison West. The facility is clean. The staff are present and helpful. The facility appearance is inviting. I think that the staff could do a better job of letting me know how things are going with my dad. I also wish that they would take the residents outside more. Also, they need to offer some outings, maybe monthly. But overall, things have been pretty good at this facility.

They are friendly and helpful. The community provides good communications. The staff were very informative about what is offered. However, I would have liked to have had more information about what personal services are added as that affect the final monthly payment. I am not usually there at meal time. I do hope they monitor what they eat. The one meal I was present at did seem like there were optional choices and the food was very good.

Brookdale Madison West is a nice place. Good care and good management. Quiet atmosphere. Decent food. Happy residents. Usual price. Nice room. Good activities. Helpful, friendly staff. Nurse on duty.

It has been a tremendous experience for our family. The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful. They far exceed the previous assisted living facility my aunt was in. They offer plenty of activities. Generally the facility is very clean, although some of the carpeting in the common areas needs to be replaced. It is pricey, but they provide a very valuable service.

I was able to get both of my parents into this facility. I like the fact that there are nurses on the assisted living floor and also in the memory care unit during the day. They are very open door policy. In memory care her doors is open all the time and it is right across from the dining room so people come in to visit. There are some issues with transferring with hoyer, but I would tell others to just be very communicative with the nurse. Overall I would recommend to others looking.

I think that because they're so short staffed like everyone else, things have fallen through the cracks here. Especially the care and cleanliness. Housekeeping just isn't thorough. The staff is friendly. Communication with the family is lacking. They have a good variety of activities. The food is good quality and variety. I would recommend them to friends and family. Out of all the places I looked at, this one was the best in the area.

Caring staff! I feel safe with my loved one living here and enjoy seeing photos of my loved one doing activities I never thought they’d enjoy on Facebook. Thank you Brookdale!
