Coventry Village is a nice place, beautifully appointed. The staff seemed to be over-worked. Sometimes it would take an hour for someone to come after the call button was pushed. My mother was not a demanding person at all. I was able to meet other residents and staff and everyone was very nice to me.

June 3, 2024Thank you, Martha, for your feedback. We're glad you found Coventry Village beautifully appointed and that you always appreciated the kindness of our residents and team. I am the Executive Director and encourage you to reach out to me directly whenever you or your mother have any concerns as we are always striving to enhance the care we provide.
We chose Coventry Village because of their availability and responsiveness. Staff met with us almost immediately when we contacted them. The people are really nice, but the overall place seems to be under-resourced.

I'm a resident of 3.5 months. I came because my husband is gone and I was alone. I'm a people person so I was very lonely! The friendly atmosphere was just what I needed!

May 8, 2024Thanks for sharing your feedback on life at Coventry Village. We're glad to read that you enjoy the warm and engaging nature of everyone who lives and works here.
Common areas are dirty, ie elevators, all lower walls in D.R. have filth collection, etc. The people are great.

May 8, 2024We appreciate your feedback. We are committed to ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for all residents and will be sure to pass your comments along to our housekeeping team.
My experience was with Memory Care. I would not recommend this facility to any of my friends. I felt the staff was not fully trained. They were often short staffed. I recognize that my mom required skilled care as well as memory care. This was not the facility for that. It was not a great experience for myself or my mom.

April 12, 2024I am the Executive Director and was sorry to read your thoughts regarding your experience in our memory care neighborhood. Providing top-notch care and support for our residents and their families is our utmost priority, and we regret that we fell short of your expectations. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and I would like the opportunity to discuss your concerns. Please reach out to me at the community at your earliest convenience. Thanks in advance for your time.
It was a vibrant and social community. A wide range of activities are provided. Some improvements that need to be done are new carpeting put in all found levels of apartments. New chairs are needed in the pud and dining room or at least recovered seats. There should be alternative dinners besides the two regular entrees served. Beautiful pond with flowers fountain.

We appreciate your feedback regarding menu options, and encourage you to attend our monthly dining services meeting so our culinary team can hear your recommendations first hand. Thank you for highlighting the beauty of our pond with its flowers and fountain -- and more importantly thank you for being part of the family here at Coventry Village.
I am not able to comment on the food. I think all facilities are criminally expensive. They are having some staffing problems at the momenyt.

December 21, 2023Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I am the Executive Director and would welcome the chance to speak with you about your comments as I want all families to have a five-star experience at Coventry Village.
Lots of staff changes, food service change, not for the better, only desk staff to assist and most go above and beyond. Not really dog friendly and only if dog is well-behaved. Dogs are on all floors, not good. People have rescues and that is not well tolerated. They are their pups! Seems pretty clean. Focus is on the exterior. Love the staff at the desk, don't know others well, lots of changes. Quality is dependent on desk staff. Changes affect that. Again some of the activities are provided by desk staff. When it comes to the value for cost, not sure. Raised all the time. The residents living there are very friendly!

My mom went into this facility on [date removed]. My sister took her to the ER on [date removed] where we discovered she was severely dehydrated and septic due to poor care given to her peri area at Sebring. We are now in the process of watching our mother die! This place oversells on what it can deliver. Completely understaffed!! Several times my mom waited anywhere from 30-60 minutes for a call light to be answered. If you are thinking of this facility as an option for a family member I would look elsewhere.

It is always our goal to provide exceptional care to all our residents and appreciate hearing directly from you as part of our process to continually improve. Please contact me if I can be of further assistance. Regards, Bobbi.
We moved my mom to Coventry Village independent with the idea of her moving to their assisted living when she needed it. Our family feels this was the best decision. The friendships she built and the activities she participates in is wonderful.

July 28, 2023Thanks for sharing this C.L. We are thrilled to read that your mom has formed such wonderful friendships here, and loves many of the programs put on by our Lifestyle 360 team. It's wonderful to know that the continuum of care offered at Coventry Village has provided your family with peace of mind, and appreciate your kind words for the community.
The director was great, but the rest of the staff turnover was unmanageable. Their accounting practices were questionable. Because of these things, I cannot recommend.

I realize that it is difficult to find help these days. Mom's care is very spotty. The most difficult thing is that it takes staff an hour or oftentimes more to get help after she presses a call button. By that time she has peed and/or pooped in her pants. And it is a greater mess to clean up. She gets very little attention at night. No one comes to change her. What would happen if she had fallen? Mom was also supposed to get a Veteran's discount of 10% since she is a WWII veteran. She has been here for two months and I have yet to see anything from 5 Star Living on her bill. Did I miss something? Finally, the director is seldom on the premises. Her office is dark most of the time. They also do not have a nurse present full time (information that should be given during a tour). A nurse is 'on call' during the night hours. Once the night meds are dispensed, there are two people who take care of all the residents at Sebring. The facility is beautiful and the physical layout of the rooms is very nice, cared for and functional. It is always the people who make the difference. The staff is competent and most are caring, but underpaid and not enough of them.

April 10, 2023We appreciate your kind words about our team, and want to thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We take all feedback seriously as we are always looking for ways to improve the services we provide to all our residents. I am the Executive Director and would welcome the chance to speak with you about your feedback on life in our Assisted Living neighborhood -- and to look into the billing question you mention. Please contact me at the community at your convenience.
Was able to move my spouse out of Sebring-Coventry this month. In a recent 7 week period, my spouse was in the ER 5 times -- a head injury requiring many stitches, bruises/cuts on various parts of his body and a displaced fracture of his collar bone where surgery wasn't an option due to his dementia. On the last ER visit, the doctor told me my spouse was not getting the level of care he needed from the staff. Also, the ER notes stated that he was "unclean". On a recent visit, I took him to his bed, which the staff had already made, only to find a huge amount of wet urine on the sheet which had been covered up. Three days later, the sheets still showed the same now dried urine and the sheets had not yet been changed. These were sheets I personally bought and were a different color so I know what occurred. The staff are uninvolved and unsupervised. My spouse has filthy, stained clothes on for 4-5 days at a time. Rarely does he have hair or body washed. Stay away!

March 31, 2023Marie, the safety of our residents and team, as well as the peace of mind of our families is very important to us. I am the Executive Director and would like to speak with you regarding your concerns, and would welcome the opportunity to again review your loved one's records with you. Please contact me at your convenience.
Done well -Front desk receptionist is helpful -The size of the rooms are nice. They are larger than others I had seen. -the laundry is done frequently - the location is close to my house Needs improvement- -everything else -the executive Director is approachable. And she says the right things. But that is not what is done. I do not have a clue as to how to remedy that. -I think they need more help.....or they need to pay their help more to get someone who wants to be there. -The help that is there does not seem to be trained on how to deal with memory care clients -there are a few of the employees that are great. Compassionate, helpful I do not believe that most of them want to be there. There is not much about the care plan that is followed. Her hearing aids do not get charged, they do not get put into her ears properly, if she says no to eating, she waits until the next meal. Her bathroom would not pass inspection if they were ever inspected. There should not be a tile floor in a memory care bathroom, and the grout is all gone, so as a result, it fills up with filth . unacceptable to me. I have checked with other facilities, and truthfully, they do not seem to be a whole lot different. We have put her on hospice to be able to get more help in a couple times a week. That does seem to be an improvement. I do not have a great solution right now.....only problems. I have appreciated your service as I would not have known how to proceed with mom at all. It complicates her situation because of her being in a wheelchair and having mobility issues. I am not trying to get anyone in trouble......only stating my feelings. I think the future of our senior care is in serious trouble.

We finally moved my dad to Sebring at Coventry Village and are very happy. He's clean and up and about with his walker (at Heritage he had been reduced to using a wheelchair). He rarely falls anymore. He's safe and well-cared for.

I like this place and director was very pleasant - I like the fact that it offered assisted living and memory care which may be something needed in future.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score.
