Brookdale Westampton

From my initial visit when seeking a new home for Mom I felt a warm community spirit at Brookdale Westampton. The “downtown” facade was a welcoming vision of warmth. The entire staff was very friendly and took a superior interest in all of the community members. I was extremely impressed and Brookdale was immediately at the front of my list of prospects. I have not been disappointed in my choice for Mom’s new home.

Our experience with my father-in-law living in this community has been good. He was readily accepted by all residents and staff who all seem to be interested in him and "who he is" (his interests, humor, family). Warmth and understanding abound here and it is obvious from the front entrance all the way in to the residents rooms. We were fortunate to find this community and has been a good fit for my father-in-law.

My uncle [name removed] lived at Florence for almost two years before he passed peacefully on hospice. The people were nice, he always had the same people caring for him which we liked. The residents were pretty friendly. The building was clean and we liked the downtown concept. I would recommend.

Today I had the opportunity to visit the exceptional team at Brookdale Westampton. It was such a pleasure to enter a community to see so many smiling employees caring for residents who were really enjoying the activities of the afternoon, the attention they were receiving and the beautiful decorations. My associate and I were greeted at the door and welcomed in like we were old friends. The staff made us feel valued and everyone took time out of their busy afternoon to speak with us and share some of the positive and uplifting programs and service offerings at Brookdale Westampton. It is easy to see how you all are quickly becoming the first choice for memory care in the community. I would like to thank [names removed] for the time and attention you all gave us! If you have a chance, I would certainly recommend stopping in to see this amazing place and to meet this exceptional team! Looking forward to visiting again!

We recently moved mom to Brookdale and I was worried she would have a hard time making the switch. Well I was pleased with the transferring of mom, she was made to feel at home as well as we were. Mom continues to make progress since being at Brookdale. I'm pleased with the attention and level of service she receives at Brookdale.

I am a friend of one of the residents at Brookdale in Westampton, NJ. I rank this community and staff with five stars. I have seen the dedication of all the staff. They are attentive, caring, and responsive to each resident's needs. The staff work close closely with the residents to develop comforting routines, adjusting to personalized needs. I would recommend Brookdale in Westampton to anyone.

Brookdale has been a godsend for both our mother and our family. They have given her a safe and friendly place to be at this stage of her life. The staff are so caring and friendly which makes us so comfortable with our decision to have them be responsible for her care. There is always activities to entertain the residents which is so important to keep them engaged and the meals prepared by the chef are appealing and nutritious. Also knowing they have nursing staff on site 24/7 is very important and comforting.

Our family is very happy with the care that our mother is receiving. The staff is always pleasant and very patient and respectful to the residents. The new management staff, [name removed] has made a lot of changes that have made significant improvements to the program. One of which is providing activities 7 days a week.

My Aunt had been at Brookdale for about a year and a half and we were satisfied with the day to day care she was given as well as the many things they did to keep patients involved in their many activities. I was thankful she did not sit in her room and stare out the window, as she was always an outgoing an involved person. She was one week shy of turning 97 and on hospice there at the Brookdale facility in Westampton, and the end of life care and concern during that time was exceptional. They went out of their way to be compassionate and caring for our family as well. Three family members were there when she passed at 4am, myself being one of them, and I was able to walk out that morning knowing she had been given a peaceful ending to a life well lived.

The staff member exceeded my expectations! She was timely organized and efficient. It was obvious she truly cared. I was married to a commercial attorney for 20 years and met MANY professionals in many industries. She has been one of the Best employees to date that I have been fortunate to have met!

This is a great community who truly care about the wellbeing of their residents. Everyone was most pleasant to work with and they have a warm and compassionate attitude. Would recommend to anyone needing this type of care.

If your family member has been diagnosed with dementia, you need to consider Brookdale Westhampton. They specialize in caring for residents who struggle with memory loss, anxiety, reclusiveness even anger. These behaviors aren't suitable in an assisted living facility where they need to make friends and not rely heavily on staff. The staff here is excellent. The premises are secured so you don't worry about your loved one wandering. My relative has received such great care that he went from combative and isolated to showing staff how to do the activities. The nursing staff is first rate. Plus the place is beautifully kept, maintenance is responsive and the rate is competitive. My relative really enjoys the food too.

WE thought the facility itself was great, the location was very convenient for us and it was very clean. We had no problems with the workers there, they were all fine and nice. However they could work on improving their billing department - we had some issues there so they could have better organization and explanation.

The staff are very caring and knowledgeable. They are also very observant. This is a very nice place for your loved one. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The communication with the staff is very good. There are three meals a day with choices for the residents to choose from.

We chose Brookdale Westampton because it was recommended to us. The room sizes are really good, they have a couple of shared rooms but most are private. I did see the food menu and the meals look great. When I have things I am not happy with I communicate that with them and they resolve things quickly. I would recommend to others looking.

Our overall experience with this community was very bad, however it was kept very clean. When we were getting our loved one signed up, the lady that was working with us was very kind and she seemed to really care, but at the end it seemed like they just wanted our money. When we arrived to move our loved one in, no one was there to greet us or help us move in. We felt that the staff at Brookdale just wanted our money. The communication at this facility was not good at all. The nursing staff did try their best, and were helpful. But we did have problems with our loved one receiving their medication. This community did seem to have a lot of activities for the residents to get involved in.

Although my family member has only been a resident at Brookdale for a short while, I feel the adjustment to the new living arrangement has gone pretty well. While there is no such thing as a perfect environment, the staff seems caring and pretty concerned about the social and cognitive well being of the residents. The activities are run by people who seem well trained and love what they are doing. But what I will also say is that perhaps more attention should be paid to making sure residents who may have incontinence issues are serviced more frequently as such issues can lead to health problems and, needless to say, unpleasant environmental odors. While certain jobs may not be as pleasant, such as servicing incontinent residents, they are an integral part of day to day operations and require professional and compassionate people to perform them. It would be great if those type jobs were among the highest paying in the field; but regardless of the low pay status, it benefits all when duties are effectively performed by people who truly believe "do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

My tour with Brookdale Westampton went well and I was shown all around the community. I just didn't care for the way the community was set up and I was not comfortable.

It was good experience for the time my In-Law was there. They did a great job with everything from staff being helpful to a clean community. I was very pleased with all they did for us.
