The staff is exceptional. They were beyond accommodating. We had to expedite moving my mother in for a number of reasons. My family wasn't sure if we'd be able to get my mother to go, but the Harmony Village staff took charge welcoming her and made it as easy on my family as possible. My mother has been happy there since she arrived and we believe that the staff is genuinely concerned with her welfare. Overall, it's been a great experience. Hi, my dad has dementia. He is on a memory care unit. I feel disappointed in a few areas. They do not have enough patient care assistants(PCA). They have 2 on day shift, two on evening and one at night. My dad has fallen at least 6 to 8 times in the two months he has been there. The PCAs are spread too thin. It all falls on them..for the price we are paying, we would be better served with more help. The nurses are caring, they always update us to any changes(major++). The PCAs are caring and kind..but there are not enough of them. He also was hospitalized for a UTI. He is incontinent, and we have found him saturated. Again..more staff=more help with our loved ones.

I am very happy that my husband is there. He is well taken-care-of. The staff ( in particular the people who take care of him on a day to day basis) are caring, friendly and courteous. I like that I'm able to interact with them and feel like they are my friends as well as caregivers for my husband. I would imagine just about all the families of the residents feel the same as I do. I like it for a number of reasons. It is a newer facility, it is bright and cheerful, it is all one floor and not huge, so it feels homey, it is pretty and clean, it is convenient for me, and most important I feel the entire staff is friendly, courteous, caring and very knowledgeable about memory care needs.

I had to write this experience! Wasn’t sure how my sister was going to take her move to Harmony Morrestown. Upon entering the lobby she immediately relaxed and said she liked it. That was her first real coherent sentence in 3 weeks due to severe dementia. The shock and relief I felt was overwhelming. After getting her settled in her room she relaxed completely and just smiled for the next hour. I couldn’t have been happier because the previous moves were a nightmare. Rest assured if you are looking for a home for your loved one make it Harmony Morrestown. You will love all the staff but [name removed] is my favorite. When we entered for our scheduled tour a man was at the piano playing for one resident who was listening intently. I thought he was the entertainment. However, I soon learned he was the director and the residents favorite. I knew then that all the tours I planned for that day were never going to measure up to this home. It truly felt like you were home.

Response from Harmony Village at Stanwick Road
May 18, 2023Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave this 5 star review! Choosing the right location is an important factor when selecting a community, and we're glad that our facility met your expectations. We strive to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for all our residents, and we're delighted that our facility resonated with you.
Our family had an in person tour and we really thought it was a good tour experience, no issues at all.
Our sister in law is doing great at Harmony Village at Stanwick Road, the community is very clean and our loved one is being very well taken care of. She has a very pretty apartment that looks off onto a courtyard. Every time we go to visit our loved one and the other residents are always dressed very nicely, and her hair is always done. They give them good activities to do and based on our experience so far we would recommend Harmony Village to other families.

Everyone here was very nice and they tried their hardest, if we asked for things they were more than willing to help out. They sold us on the fact that they break the residents up by cognitive ability, but that was not her issue it was more behavioral. She was in level 3 and it just did not work for her because there was no one she could talk to or interact with. I think had she been in 2 it would have been a much better fit. Our biggest complaint about Harmony Village was that there was minimal communication. We lived out of town and it was very hard to get answer from anyone and they never would give updates, we always had to ask for them. Once we had to move her stuff out, they never really helped out much.
Read MoreWe chose Harmony Village because they specialize in dementia and Alzheimer's care. I am not sure if the staff get properly trained, they seem to be limited in their care for residents who have more moderate to advanced Alzheimer's. If you are in the early stages they have a lot of activities and things like that, but not for those who are further along. When we first went here they were bragging about how they had not had any cases of covid, but with Omicron over two thirds of the residents got sick and most of the staff. If you got covid, they sent residents away to a sister facility to quarantine and get special treatment. Then they put in really strict policies, but I think they should have had those policies beforehand to be preventative. She does really like her room, it is very homey and feels more like an apartment. They do have some really good staff and it is a nice facility, they could just use some improvements.

My rating of Harmony would have been a 5 star rating, but when we were sold on coming here, we were told we would be able to transition to medicaid after a 2 year self pay and maybe a couple additional months. As we approach the 2 year marker, now they are telling us that our parent doesn't have a medicaid bed. available for her possibly wouldn't have one for up to 3 years. Has anyone else had a similar issue with Harmony Village?
Read MoreOur family had an in person tour and Harmony Village is a very very nice community. We thought the gentlemen who was their sales/marketing guy was very informative and helpful. He knew we were just starting out so he was not pushy at all. He also knew we would be touring other communities, so he gave us a list of questions to ask the other places we were looking at. We thought that was very professional and impressive.
Read MoreWe chose this facility at the time because there were 3 of us looking and we all thought that it was the best one, it did not turn out to be that way. I would want others to know that they cater more to people with dementia rather than Parkinson's. There are a lot of residents who are further along and they were not mentally stimulating at all. Overall, I would not recommend.

Before COVID they always had a bunch of activities going on. They had a lot of concerts, and sing-a-longs for the dementia patients. This community has a very large gathering area right when you walk in the front entrance. It is a nice and unique layout where the residents to gather and watch the birds in the bird cage. We thought it was lovely, but you do have to have private pay for two years.

My family had to make the hard decision to move my mom from our home to an assisted living facility when the need to help my in-laws was necessitated due to a devastating terminal health diagnosis. Harmony Village was incredibly supportive in finding a way to accommodate my mom quickly. In the short amount of time she lived there, everyone was fantastic with caring for her & trying to keep her engaged socially, mentally & physically. The progression of Alzheimer's made my mom increasingly combative so my family cannot express how appreciative we are for the care & compassion they gave until her passing.

[Name removed] was an excellent host; we appreciated the information he shared and the time he spent with us. Harmony is an 11 year old facility that is clearly well maintained. Harmony is the only memory care facility that separates residents into neighborhoods based on cognitive ability. This is done to provide the residents with a calm experience in daily life. Harmony is also a facility that can provide limited nursing care due to its association with CareOne. The caregiver to resident ratio is good, food is farm to table, the activities list is quite varied, and the other amenities seem quite good. My father spent the last months of his life here and we felt his care was excellent.
