Located west of Chicago, seniors can fully embrace a maintenance-free lifestyle when they reside at Brookdale Lisle. The private campus spans 16 acres and includes wooded areas, walking paths, a pond, and a manicured park setting.
As a continuing care retirement community, Brookdale employs a versatile staff to assist with a number of unique needs. Specifically, the team caters to residents seeking independent living, assisted living, or skilled nursing services. With multiple care options available, it’s easier for residents to age in place with less worries and more peace of mind. Best of all, the team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to be alerted to an emergency situation, and an alert system is in use to provide around-the-clock security.
Although Brookdale Lisle is situated in the quiet suburbs, residents and their families are conveniently close to the airport, shopping centers, world-class museums, and local sights like the Morton Arboretum, the Four Lakes Golf Course, and more. For those who prefer to remain on the campus, there’s a community rental space that can be reserved for private events, a guest suite for visitors to stay the night in, and an outdoor garden and courtyard to enjoy together. Entire residence is clean and bright. The staff is so friendly and attentive. Anything my mom needs they are able to help her with. My mom has a one bedroom apartment that is a perfect size for one person.

She likes all the activities and participates. She feels like the meals need the most improvement. She has been to the "meal chat" meetings but doesn't feel like anything changes. I would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

The 4 on the first question was given because we received conflicting information between [name removed] , [name removed] the nurse and [name removed] the Assisted Living director. You would think that they work in the same facility so they should be able to answer give us a straight answer to our questions. It was a bit frustrating, their lack of knowledge with their own procedures. That being said, everyone was friendly, caring, the place was immaculate, the food was amazing. Our main issue was with upper management. They were also very friendly but a little clueless with the issues we needed help with. I would still recommend them to someone looking for an independent/assisted living facility. I just hope management gets their stuff straight with the things we had asked about but were told different answers from the 3 ladies I mentioned. We were given 3 different answers about what would be needed to move my MIL to assisted living, whether or not a TB test would be needed and if so, how to go about getting it done and where. It made an unfamiliar situation frustrating with their apparent lack of information, knowledge and experience when we needed their help.

My mom is not a big fan of the food, other than that I don't have any complaints. My sister lives a mile away, so that was a determining factor. My mom is a social person, so we're happy she can have that at Brookdale. We are happy to know she is safe.

I moved my parents to this location in 2022. We were happy to have them close to home but we had to move them out immediately after what they said they saw.The administrator cared more about his dog than the residents every time we wanted to voice our concerns we were told he was taking his dog out.Even his workers were laughing at him.U had no one to talk to if you had a problem only one lady in activity that was older than my mom. We had heard good things about the place but we were very disappointed about the lack of service and care so we moved them back to the property they came from. I’m not sure what happened there.

Response from Brookdale Lisle
April 18, 2024We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and are sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations. The community has new leadership since 2022, and we have shared your feedback with our management team.
Brookdale Lisle has been with us every step of the way. They made Mom feel like a member of their family right away. The process of moving her from her home to Brookdale was seamless. The crew was fast and efficient. The residents greeted Mom and made her feel welcome. This was my Mothers' decision and she chose Brookdale Lisle.

My mom has been there 3 1/2 months and is very happy there. She is in independent living so doesn't require much care. But Nurse [name removed] and the PT department have been great. Food is really good but apparently they all complain it's not hot enough. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to others.

My mom is a resident at Brookdale Lisle. My ratings are for Assisted Living. My ratings for Care Services, Staff, Activities, and Value for Cost could easily go to a 4 rating if the facility wasn't so reliant on Agency Staffing. Some Agency employees have been marvelous, caring, committed, compassionate, and competent. Others have been much less so. Also, Brookdale Lisle would benefit substantially increasing weekend activities, especially for Assisted Living residents!

This is a delightful place to live. The park-like setting is beautiful in any season and the interior is very impressive. But most importantly, the staff is so friendly and helpful. Always smiling and knows our name. The residents are friendly and the activities are varied and plentiful. Some are staff led and others are resident led. All in all it's a great place!

I have lived here 1 1/2 years, since its been during covid I understand that things are not normal. Even with that I have enjoyed being here - it's a warm friendly place. Everyone - residents and staff have been helpful and supportive. There are many activities to choose from. Never need to feel alone

This has been an excellent experience for my loved one and family. Everything is promptly available, and the service has been very good. The food, activities, and training equipment have been readily available and always neat. The staff are very helpful and responsive to the family's questions or concerns. Some of the activities available are veteran's club, wood carving club, piano playing, and more for the residents to choose from. They even have computer access for the residents. Laundry of linens, changing of linens, housekeeping, the apartment and utilities are included in the monthly fee. There is a washer and dryers in the buildings for the residents to use, and they have elevators available for the residents as well.

This community was fine but it was just further in distance than where I wanted my loved one to be. My loved ones also wanted to be able to take their meals back to their rooms to eat and this was not an option at this community.
My mother lived in Assisted Living for 5 years. The care she received from the AL staff was stellar! She loved the food, the activities, and was very happy living there. This gave my brothers and myself peace of mind. We are very grateful to the excellent staff at Brookdale and would highly recommend it for your family members.
From day one my father has been treated so well by the staff. They welcomed him into his new apartment with a nice gift basket, and treated us all to lunch. Great customer service by everyone.

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale Lisle 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
