Brookdale Concord Parkway

What attracted me to Brookdale Concord, was the friendliness of the staff, especially Blake in admissions. The overall atmosphere of the assisted living building and the memory care building. Last but least, seeing how happy the residents were. In addition, the doctors seemed to really care about that welfare of the patients. They told the time to thoroughly examine the clients, listen to them, and their families. The caregivers did come relatively quickly when there was a need. Most all were kind and helpful. Meals were always good and the variety was nice. The dining room was kept clean and free from food that would end up on the floor. On the other hand, although we had a few unpleasant situations, for the most part we were very happy with the care.

Moving my mom to Brookdale has been an adjustment for my mom & myself. I have felt that the staff at Brookdale has helped me understand the process and all the rules and regulations of a living facility. I am pleased with all areas of my mom’s care

Overall experience was GREAT! For cleanliness, Mom was a challenge in showers and would "not need one" as she would say lol! And they didn't push her. Which is good but I would have pushed her. Then again, being her daughter I could have done that. The staff was respectful and tried to a degree so you could say all good on this topic. Friendliness of staff is great. All were great - mom was a handful and very opinionated. They took that in stride and rolled right along with her. Meals and dining were great. Mom wasn't that picky of an eater. She never complained about any of the meals. Quality of care was great. Mom was self sufficient in the beginning and it was fine. She had several falls (14 while there) and required some "extra TLC" when she would return. The staff was fabulous! The only negative I would say here was that she'd argue or not take her pills sometimes. Another item I would have pushed but as her daughter. She could get mad at me. For activities, Assisted living aide had a lot to do. I'm not so sure mom participated in everything. She LOVED Bingo. And I mean LOVED it. She could have had more Bingo days lol! Value for cost is great. Alzheimer's and Memory care are expensive. Regardless. We didn't have a choice and thank the Lord we were blessed for her inheritance from her sister/my aunt. That allowed me to pick the facility based on facility and not cost. I visited others that were cheaper but I chose Brookdale because of the building, the staff, the warm homey feel in the building and the busy atmosphere. Not to mention the place did not smell of urine or "old". If you know what I mean. (No disrespect for elders). It was a warm inviting lobby when you went to visit AND the best part, the residents were so friendly and they all genuinely loved their home. Great experience overall. The staff from management all the way to med techs have a deep love for their job and it shows. Very personable with all the residents. Highly recommend as the staff and management are like family. They are very attentive to their residents. They know them by name and they know their history. The are like family.

Food is ok and almost on time all the time. Staff is amazing and helpful. Rooms are kept clean. Facilities are very clean.

Everyone here is so friendly. I have been here five years and have loved it. We have so many activities during the day and even on the weekend.

Room for me! Everyone WHO WORKS HERE helps in any way they can. Food Is delicious, We ARE ENTERTAINED, I feel AT HOME. EVERYONE Is Very helpful!!

I arrived at Brookdale over a Year ago. When I first arrived, I Was in a wheelchair and had just begun to eat. Since I have been here I have had excellent care and made progress.

Churches that come in, the entertainment games, when the volunteers come in, I like going on outings/shopping.

Great team, experienced staff, Awesome leadership. The community feels like a family. Very little turnover with staffing, families are very involved and they have a great open door policy.

My loved one required a very high-level of care as he could not walk on his own. When we first got there, they did not have the call necklaces available. Also, when we did call for assistance, it typically took 20 to 30 minutes to get someone to show up. They are very understaffed with a lot of turnover, which leads me to believe there's a problem with management. Although after their evaluation they promised they could care for my loved one, we were only there for about three months, because they obviously could not.

I would say a very nice place, would recommend. My father really liked the facility, the staff, the smaller size community. It was nice room, just small for the money. But we are a somewhat frugal family, so for us to see the value it was very hard. Right now he has CNA care for 4 days a week, plus family help in his home for half that amount and the CNA is great.

This is not your typical nursing home, this is head and shoulders above that. Everyone is extremely friendly and she is happy. It has been terrific - she has everything she needs. The food is amazing, would walk in and you can immediately smell. Mom is always talking about how good it is. We have been very pleased and would highly recommend Brookdale Concord Parkway to others.
