Be very careful of this place. The food and accommodations are average. This is a corporation that will cut costs at every opportunity and will jack up your rates without warning and with no discussion. I am currently being charged for their highest level of service even though my mother was in the hospital and receiving no service. Even though their contract has an arbitration clause they will not honor it and will just send you to collections if you dispute any bill. Be careful!!

Friendly residents and friendly and helpful staff. We picked this community because of the price, amenities, and reputtion with the VA. I would recommend to others.

I would tell others looking into Brookdale Charlotte East just how friendly the staff and residents are. More than any other place we looked at, the warmth Mom felt there made us choose it even though it was the farthest and least convenient location. The apartment sizes are good, they could use a bit of updating cabinets and such, but clean and offer a decent amount of space and storage.

This a good safe place for a loved one. The staff are always watching over the residents to make sure they are cared for. The staff communication with the family is very good and they are responsive to our questions. There is a meal plan for the residents to choose from, and it would be nice to see more variety to the meals.

The pricing is better than others in the area, with activities most days. Only communication about appointments needs improvement. They provide weekly housekeeping for mom's assisted living apartment. But they clean as needed, as well. The facility is warm, bright, and clean. The staff are truly dedicated and work hard to look after the residents. My mom has received excellent care. The Nursing Director and supervisor always reach out with any questions. They've coordinated her primary dr, behavioral health, and foot care- all in house without additional cost. Only her neurologist, endocrinologist, and eye doctor are outside appointments. I would recommend them to family and friends.

The best place to live-kindness, caring, etc.

I would tell others to spend time with senior leadership to really understand their levels of qualifications for the roles they hold. Also to be able to gauge a real understanding of aging senior adults and what is symptomatic, what is overreaction, etc. All of those things are very important when your family member is not there 24 hours. I think they need someone on staff degreed in gerontology and the science of aging adults because it is a very different population.

My experience has been positive. They have been very attentive when placing my loved one here, and even after my loved one moved in they kept the attention on my loved one. There was an issue with my loved one and the staff called me. They are willing to work with you on your concerns and questions. They are also friendly. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The community offers breakfast and dinner for meals, Monday through Friday. On Saturday and Sunday they offer a brunch and a take out meal for dinner. This isn't what I was hoping for; however, my loved one is able to keep food in their room to be able to eat, if necessary. The staff have been able to correct something on the floor for my loved one so well, you can't tell there was an issue. The meals, housekeeping, and utilities are included in the price per month. They are extra costs for a land line, and cable. The family can pay a reasonable fee for assistance with dressing and medication management. The residents are able to make a transition from independent living to assisted living within the same community, when needed.

It's pleasant here. I like the people here. I like the staff, and I'm getting good care. The facility and cleanliness are good as well. I would just like to see larger portions on the food.

I contacted A Place for Mom. I was given a person to help me. My mom needed a secure and safe place to live but was still very independent. Your services and help allowed me to make the right decision for her.

I wish i had found this community years ago. This has been a great experience and my loved one loves it here. I do see there are a lot of activities for the residents and it is very clean. The staff are very professional and helpful.
